the witcher version of tony and peter’s staten island fight in homecoming. just another parallel between two very similar found family and father-child relationships.
I've read the books the potion of turning Witcher doesn't work on her. She's of elder blood more power than Witchers. Therefore her training and member of the school of wolf. She's already a Witcher.
She doesn't need the mutations that regular boys do because of that blood. She can just do what Witchers do already, she just needs training and focus to learn the skills.
Ciri is many things, but she is not a Witcher. She could never biologically survive the Trial of the Grasses or the various other mutation rituals, being a girl. The Trials were made for boys, who only have a small chance of survival as it is. Nor has she undergone nearly the same level of intense training for nearly as long, she is much weaker, less agile, not having enhanced strength, durability, healing, senses or reflexes. Nor can she cast Signs or drink Witcher Potions without poisoning herself to death. Geralt only considers her a Witcher because he's an understandably biased, sentimental romantic, but Geralt has never been good at being a traditional Witcher, too caught up in playing Knight In Shining Armor and breaking neutrality. She's as much a real Witcher as Leo from the Witcher 1 game was. Being a Witcher isn't a mere title to be passed down like Knighthood. If she didn't have plot armor, the first difficult monster on the Path she faces would also be her last.
Well you haven’t paid attention when reading then Ciri can’t do half the things a witcher can, such as drinking elixirs and what not. She’s trained in swordplay and has extensive monster knowledge, but other than that her speed and strength are subpar compared to Geralt, and later on she has trouble controlling her powers so relying on them isn’t an option. However that isn’t the point of her character: she has difficulties and flaws, which makes her much more compelling than a Mary Sue Rey type of character that “can do anything with no training because plot”
@@eyesnapples6167 I don’t think the point is that she’s “stronger than witchers” I think the point he was making was the potion would’ve been usless on her anyway. While she may not be automatically as skilled as a full blown Witcher, because of her elder blood she doesn’t need the potion they give witchers to enhance them. She is already “enhanced.”Now whether or not she’s actually stronger than a Witcher is completely up for debate. Personally I think while she is inherently stronger than a Witcher when using magic, she can’t compete in many other area especially physically. But the point is she doesn’t need the potion.
Liam will never be the Witcher like Geralt. The Witcher died with Henry's last season. I am blown away by his performance as Geralt and with the chemistry he always seems to have with all of his co-stars.

This scene is so, so good. The pent up emotion in Ciri and how Geralt is so protective yet understanding of Ciri. High point if the season, and series so far for me. Ciri may not be Geralt's blood daughter, but his most definitely a father... Freya Allen really grew into Ciri in S2 she was brilliant, and she and Cavill absolutely smash it out the park in this scene.
I wish she would have told Geralt about Triss’s vision and what she told her about being the seed that destroys the world. She’s not simply trying to become a Witcher to escape weakness or heartache or remorse, but to try to evade the fate that Triss apparently had foreseen. (And yes, I know she cannot actually become a Witcher but I’m focusing on the fact of her reasoning).
There's a deleted scene when Geralt storms into Ciri's room looking for Ciri. But finds Triss cowering on the floor mumbling to him about how he can't protect her when he asked where Ciri is. Triss told Geralt she'll destroy us all and how Geralt can't stop it. Than Geralt stormed off to find Ciri.
@@ericasharp1872 I just saw it recently! I feel like they could’ve included it since it’s only 30 secs. But even so, they brushed over the vision even with that scene bc he didn’t really question the “she’ll destroy us all” part lol
@@kaylajoanbaur767 Geralt could see that Ciri was bothered by the vision and unlike Triss. He was thinking clear enough to try and keep Ciri calm not frighten the girl with questions. Senile Netflix Vesemir nearly poisoned her to death behind Geralt's back for nothing. In his old age he kinda forgot that girls cannot biologically survive the Trial of the Grasses. And how would the fencing instructor know how to perform the mutation rituals anyways? The secrets of Witcher Mutations died with the sorcerers who ran the school. The entire plot point of making Elder Blood the key ingredient to Witcher Mutations is asinine and contrived. Don't recall Witchers ever being able to control time, space and give prophecies.
It’s probably inspired by the games where Ciri can become a Witcher at the end of the third game. She’s got the classic Witcher eyes indicating that she survived the Grasses. My guess is it’s due to either her elder blood or a refinement of the process.
@@nomisunrider6472 She never became an actual Witcher in Wild Hunt. Her eyes were green in that ending, not yellow and viper-like. Girls cannot survive the Trial of the Grasses, and the knowledge of Witcher mutations was lost in the attacks on all the Witcher Schools anyways.

They’ve turned humans into witchers who have normal blood. I think because Ciri has elder blood that the effects will die out in her system before she can even feel them.
