M M have you even watched the video? They said they knew better than the doctors and didn't need to listen to them despite the risk to he health of their child. They're idiots.
I say have every pain killer going! Seriously, why is there such a negative attitude to pain killers? If you choose not to have anything good for you but it does not make you better! I had 12hrs of contractions on top of each other and then due to high blood pressure had an epidural and praise the Lord, it was bloody brilliant! Well done sammi, she is gorgeous, oh and Jason too!! Daddies get forgotten about!
I agree with you, I don't know why theres such a stigma attached to having pain relief. So many times I hear people say negitive things about it! Its your body, have what you like to make yourself more comfortable, your having a baby for goodness sake!
Totally agree. I had a wonderful midwife who said you don't get an award if you have no pain relief. I'd heard horror stories of friends labours, mine was wonderful, obviously had pain but after an epidural was so calm and peaceful, and I was walking around just after.
The reason many women choose to not use pain relief like epidurals during labour is because there is risks attached to using them that can affect the mother and the baby. I respect women who choose to use pain relief and those who choose to use none, we shouldn't demonise either one of these women.
Twiggy Rose most people dont realize that by the time the drug even gets into your blood stream the baby will be out.and for people that think Epidural gets you drugged up. i dont know what kind of epidural they be getting cause mine totaly saved me! it made me numb but to where i could actually enjoy and participate in what was happening, rather than being almost unconscious from the pain.. i was FULLY there. Aware. and it was magical. I experienced the birth of my daughter and it was calm, and soothing and truly memorable. my first child i will always remember it as a nightmare. i remember screaming and crying and the whole experience was tarnished. i just wanted baby the fuck out. So people dont understand not everyone feels the same, some people need a little help.theres nothing wrong with that. I mean they came out with this stuff so women didnt have to suffer while doing the most beautiful thing in the world. Trust me it wont get your baby high. Why do people think that? By the time it got there, baby would be out in your arms anyway. Besides with all the law suits you think doctors are gona get your baby high?
Twiggy Rose I gave birth with no pain relief, and honestly it was great, but I totally understand and respect women who take the epidural! For me, I really just wanted to experience birth and be present for as much of it as possible. Pain was just part of the experience, not necessarily a bad thing. When my mum gave birth to me (20+ years ago) she had an epidural. She couldn't move, it prolonged labour, she ended up peeing on herself because she still couldn't feel her legs hours after birth. I was unaware epidurals are better than that now, but I really wanted to be mobile throughout and after my labour. Just a perspective from the other side!
i'm a midwife in Scotland and midwives perform just as many episiotomy's as doctors, so the fact she gave birth with midwives doesn't affect the chance of whether she did or didn't have an episiotomy x
I'm so glad her pregnancy went well..wish I could say the same for me. I was pregnant same time as her but unfortunately I lost the baby and had a miscarriage..one of the most hardest things to go through. My body still is recovering from it and it's been months. You are very lucky Sammy! I would never wish what I went through on anyone..this video definitely is triggering but I just had to see how you and the baby were doing. I would of had my baby just a few days after Sammy gave birth.
I've watched you for years and to see you become a mother is so beautiful It's insane that she's already close to being a month old, time flies by so fast! x
I love how you tell your experience from your personal prospective and with no presumption. Lots of mothers, after giving birth, think they know it all (like mimi ikonn) so full of themselves. You are so down to earth.
beautiful moment beautiful moment....'I didn't poo on her head' lololol! Oh the memories you brought back! I'm telling you that gas & air is a beautiful thing!
I've watched you since the beginning, I've grown so much you've grown so much and you've come so so far! I feel very proud to be somehow a part of your journey, you've become a truly lovely woman. All my best wishes x
I'd love to hear the experience from Jason's point of view aswell like how he felt seeing you in pain and giving birth etc it would be really interesting
America Lily that gives me hope :') I get terrible nausea and unbearable pain every month...I literally need to lock myself up in my bedroom alone where I can scream and cry, rolling on the bed trying to find different positions to make the pain go away and fall asleep. People say that birth contractions are 1000x worse than period pains and that used to make me terrified thinking I wouldn't be able to survive through giving birth!
I just wanna say thank you for always remaining you throughout your whole TH-cam journey you haven't changed a bit and I love you for that. You've grown mentally but you're still such a beautiful soul
Wow, sam! I cannot believe that you are a mother now. Everything is so different now for you. I still remember you from 2010, so young. It amazes me to this day how your life has changed. I believe you are a few years older than I am. So, remembering you from 2010 to now really makes me feel so nostalgic. Seeing you find someone you love so deeply after everything, and then becoming a mother really makes me feel so emotional. I do not know why but I think it is because I have been following you for quite a while. And I may not know you personally but you have made a difference in my life with your videos. Not only that but also with how open you have been throughout these years. In all your videos, I have seen how you have slowly become this beautiful, self-loving woman with a big kind heart. You have transmitted that part of yourself to others, if not others, then at least to me. You have shown me to be comfortable within my skin and to be open-minded. So, thank you Sam. Thank you for shaping a piece of my life with your videos and presence in this world. If it wasn't for you, I would not be who I am today. In you, I found a "friend" I could look up to when things get messy in this life. Thank you for existing! I wish you lots of happiness and love to your new little family
We should all have the same respect for all women going through childbirth, pain meds or not. It's a feat just going through it, in general. Just because you didn't have any drugs doesn't make you any stronger than someone who does.
Congratulations!! Your Indie is absolutely beautiful!! My baby girl is 19 and I can remember the day she was born like it was yesterday. Now she is getting in all my clothes, make up and shoes. That is probably what Indie will do with all of your fashions. I read a quote. "Having a daughter is like giving birth to your best friend" I completely agree. Right now you have such a sweet little girl who gives you joy and an exhaustion like you have never felt before, and each year keeps getting better. One day you will have a besr buddy like me to go shopping with and more. Im so very happy for you and Jason.
I'm not pregnant nor have children but I really do enjoy the pregnancy/baby videos just to have knowledge for the future if I ever decide to have a little one. Hope to see more in the future!
It's so nice that you guys have options over in the UK. Here in America SO MANY hospitals only give you the option of being on your back with your feet in stirrups. Anything else isn't covered by insurance or isn't available at all.
Yes and doctors can use the fact that you're vulnerable to limit your options or even take advantage of you. I know a woman who was taken into another room away from her husband with a bunch of medical students and was examined by them for learning purposes without her consent. She was in too much pain and under too much medication to resist. American healthcare is a sick joke that takes advantage of poor people.
You're the best Sammi, and I don't know why but and cried with this video, especially towards the end. I think I felt strangely proud of you without really knowing you personally (apart from meeting you once in Costa next to Richmond station over 3 years ago). I think the fact that I've followed you since 2011, when both our lives were so different and from now, and seeing you grown and forming your own family... it's so bloody incredible!!! I wish you, Jason and little Indie the happiest and healthiest of years and I hope to see you around London again, this time with your little one. :)
Sammy, I can't believe you're a mom now! I've been watching you since the beginning and I LOVED watching you evolve as a person. Your family is beautiful, congratulations, I wish you all nothing but the best xo
I'm 35 weeks, and I just wanted to say that it was great to hear such a positive take on an epidural free labour. I've watched so many vlogs where women get epidurals that I was starting to think an epidural free labour wasn't even possible. Don't get me wrong, I'm not anti pain killers, I just don't want to go into it so scared that I won't be able to do it with them.
Only one minute into this video I started to tear up. Motherhood looks so good on you, you're absolutely radiating and I can't imagine how much love you must be feeling from the addition of your little one she's so beautiful ❣️congratulations to you and Jason xx
I don't know what causes it, but everytime I see a woman who became a mother (for the first time) they always look so gorgeous like so angelic and pure and beautiful. Even you, Sammi. You shine through this video x
Omg I seriously cried during the birth video. She is so beautiful. I remember crying when you announced you were pregnant and when you did the gender reveal. So incredibly happy for you and Jason
"Apart from one. She was weird" dead lmao. Indie Rose is so beautiful! Thanks for sharing her with us and thanks for sharing this! Wishing you Jason and Indie Rose a lifetime of happiness ❣️
for all of those that don't know what a sweep is (including me, before I researched!) During an internal examination, your midwife or doctor sweeps their finger around your cervix. This action should separate the membranes of the amniotic sac surrounding your baby from your cervix.
Sam that was the most interesting labour story i have watched, short and sweet. Some people put up labour videos that are like 60 minutes long!!! She is so gorgeous little Indie
I remember watching your videos of you doing your eyeliner with the cork mac eyeshadow in your bedroom and NOW IM WATCHING YOUR BIRTHING VIDEO. I'm baffled. Congratulations!
Sammi, I teared up watching this. It was just so so beautiful watching you talk about your daughter, your experience, your bond with Jason, the midwives, and how inspiring the fact that millions of women have done this before you. Thank you for sharing this piece of your story with us. You'll be the most amazing mum to Indie
Oh Sammi! That made me so emotional when you were talking about how empowered you felt while pushing and how you couldn't wait to see her face. When you held her in your arms in the beginning, you look like you've been a mother your entire life. Can't wait for more updates from you, Indie Rose & Jason! (and the pups!) xx
Aww she's a little angel 👼🏼 Sammie I So excited to see what cloths your now going to be wearing so could you do like a clothing haul of new cloths you been buying and how u will style them . Your looking as beautiful as ever too xxx
Sammi, your description of having Indie-Rose was SO beautiful and poetic. It truly touched me and I KNOW you and Jason are going to be the best parents. Sensitive, loving souls as you both are...there is no doubt
im so sorry some people have come on here and have been so rude about Indie-Rose, she is so beautiful like a little doll, wishing You, Jason, Indie and the dogs a happy life together x
OH MY GOSH!!!!!! I used to watch your beauty and makeup videos religiously a couple of years back, I haven't been on TH-cam often since but I'm now a bit older and expecting my first baby in 4 weeks so I've been doing research and watching other people's birth stories. Just crazy that I found your channel again and you have a beautiful little baby now!
I cried so much just now.. I've been watching you since forever and been away from TH-cam since my daughter turn 1 three years ago.. I am proud of you for overcoming your traumas and I congratulate you my friend, my Sister😊 May God bless your home, your relationship, your family, your soul... I'm so happy and proud of you 😍😍😍
Amazing!!!! I've been with you since the beginning and I've watched you grow and evolve. You are a wonderful woman and I am extremely proud of you. Congratulations to to you and Jason. Indie is perfect. TFS
Okay this is so weird, i remember watching you when you first started and seeing you with a beautiful baby is so weird!! i feel like i've watched you grow up😂
I'm 31 weeks with my first baby so I've started watching labour & delivery stories. I was worried about watching because I don't want to scare myself more in case people have horrible experience. I always remind myself that women were made for this so I know I can survive it just like so many women have done before me. I'm just excited to meet my baby.
Thought I'd comment now because I'm 30 seconds in and I'm already crying 😭 It's just so weird and wonderful because you were one of the very first TH-camrs I ever watched sooo many years ago and you've inspired me so much, even in starting my own channel, and it's like watching an older sister. Indie is so beautiful ❤️
i just cannot believe that you are now a momma. i still remember when i used to watch you waaaay back in the day when all you loved was nars foundation and mac products 😂😂 lol congratulations!!
Hey Samantha so I've been watching your videos for about 5 years now and seeing this in all honesty has gotten me a little emotional. I'm so proud of you. Despite what you've gone through you've stayed inspirational, beautiful inside and out. I'm so happy about this channel. So I want to thank you so much for just putting a smile on my face whenever I get online. Bless your baby, she is beautiful just like her parents! Can't wait to see how she grows up.
Holy crap. This makes me want to simultaneously have a child or not ever. Either way, thank you for being so honest and real and not shying away from talking about your labor!
This was soooooooo positive and lovely to hear how you said you would already do it all again and the pain was all worth it so don't be scared.. for girls about to become mummy's! You're glowing, you just look like you're full of love. I'm so happy for you :)! Xxxxxx
Amazing Sam. Well done to all Mums. I'm nearly 60 and have never had a child and I felt about 10 years ago I was ready but it was already too late! LOL
Question for my therapist: Is my subconscious trying to tell me something by watching all of these labour videos while being a 'sworn off men' 24 year old? 😂😂
I am not pregnant or planning to get pregnant any time soon but I just love these type of videos because they are so filled with love! Your baby girl is beautiful and I am so happy for you, I hope you have a magical time with her and I look forward to watching her grow. lots of love. xx
I nearly spat out my tea when you said 'they were all so lovely and felt like giving them a care package after..apart from one she was weird' omg😂 indie is so beautiful!!😍
I think I'm one of the few who definitely remembers the pain and all the hell of being pregnant. 2 was all I could manage. But that's what's great, we're all different! I do love the part of getting to hold your baby. Nothing beats that high or feeling. Congrats to you and your family!
Your description of your labour and delivery is so much more real than other youtubers (like Mimi Ikonn).
Kat Khan their story made me so angry, for the sake of being "natural" they went through all that pain, doctors and midwives know what their doing
mimi is an absolute idiot though, so is alex.
The way Mimi and her idiot husband dismissed all the medical professionals who were trying to HELP them was truly disgusting.
@M M - No, they're idiots for not taking professional medical advice and nearly put the life of their child at risk.
M M have you even watched the video? They said they knew better than the doctors and didn't need to listen to them despite the risk to he health of their child. They're idiots.

I wish you talked about your recovery process and if you had an episiotomy
Yes! I'm interesting in that as well and how long it takes for the bump to go down and all of that stuff!!
DreamYourFearsAway I hope she does a Q&A maybe she'll answer this
DreamYourFearsAway She didn't have an episiotomy, she'd need a doctor to do that and she gave birth with midwives.
aaahlydia bump usually takes a few weeks to go down, though it happens faster if you breastfeed.
i'm a midwife in Scotland and midwives perform just as many episiotomy's as doctors, so the fact she gave birth with midwives doesn't affect the chance of whether she did or didn't have an episiotomy x
Your story made me so emotional Sammy! Congratulations!! ❤️

I've watched you for years and to see you become a mother is so beautiful
It's insane that she's already close to being a month old, time flies by so fast! x
I love how you tell your experience from your personal prospective and with no presumption. Lots of mothers, after giving birth, think they know it all (like mimi ikonn) so full of themselves. You are so down to earth.
Hey Mummy! She's gorgeous x

Nellah Grace he made a video on his channel.. it's so beautiful
I love how I came from watching a video on your channel and finding you here. Lol.
Yes so my boyfriend can have a sense of what could possibly happen when its time for us!
+Hiba Ada yes but thats not telling his side. she means a proper sitdown, talking about what went through his head like this video
Does anyone else see how bright and happy she is as she talks about her birth, it's absolutely beautiful !
Welcome back gorgeous, so lovely to see you both! xxx
And here I am struggling with my period pain lol
Faith because of how bad my period pains were, I handle the contractions until I was 9.5cm. so thank you period pains!!
Faith lol, I'm off of mines I know how you feel.
Faith same lol
America Lily that gives me hope :') I get terrible nausea and unbearable pain every month...I literally need to lock myself up in my bedroom alone where I can scream and cry, rolling on the bed trying to find different positions to make the pain go away and fall asleep. People say that birth contractions are 1000x worse than period pains and that used to make me terrified thinking I wouldn't be able to survive through giving birth!
+Fernanda I have terrible period pains as well and my doctor said that some period pains can be extremely close to giving birth or contractions
I never thought this would be possible, but you are even more beautiful now that you are a mother❤️😍
I just wanna say thank you for always remaining you throughout your whole TH-cam journey you haven't changed a bit and I love you for that. You've grown mentally but you're still such a beautiful soul

she has the same eye color like you ! so pretty!
I'm not pregnant nor have children but I really do enjoy the pregnancy/baby videos just to have knowledge for the future if I ever decide to have a little one. Hope to see more in the future!
such a beautiful daughter 💞
women are so strong!
It's so nice that you guys have options over in the UK. Here in America SO MANY hospitals only give you the option of being on your back with your feet in stirrups. Anything else isn't covered by insurance or isn't available at all.
Puff Ball know your rights! It's important to fight for the birth you want, you can be in any position you want!
Lauren Kahre that's true, but when you're in labour you cant fight. You're kind of busy.
Yes and doctors can use the fact that you're vulnerable to limit your options or even take advantage of you. don't know why but within the first few seconds i was so touched. i started tearing up. your smile is so loving and glowing. ahhh so emotional
She's so cute!
How did you and Jason come up with her name? ☺
congratulations!! WHAT is that creaking throughout the video, am I going mad? is it the focus noise?
megan i think it's a cradle
megan it's the camera ahaha
megan it's the camera trying to focus
You seem so much more relaxed and so happy . Congrats girl - well done !! Xx
I told myself not to cry but when you came on screen with little bubba, I started balling. She's beautiful and I'm so happy for you and Jason 😭💕
Omg I seriously cried during the birth video. She is so beautiful. I remember crying when you announced you were pregnant and when you did the gender reveal. So incredibly happy for you and Jason
I'm 20 weeks and don't have any friends that have kids or are pregnant so this is so helpful. I love watching you , your amazing
"Apart from one. She was weird" dead lmao.
Indie Rose is so beautiful! Thanks for sharing her with us and thanks for sharing this! Wishing you Jason and Indie Rose a lifetime of happiness ❣️
Damn I've never been this early!!! Congrats again xxx
She's got so much hair aswell, it's so cute ☺

Oh my goodness, I'm so excited !!!!!!!!
Awwwh, what a beautiful healthy baby. Congrats dear!
You look so beautiful, glowing actually. congratulations 😀😊
My husband just walked in on the "pooing on the baby part"... I just had to pause the video and explain how that is a real thing. hahaha oh gosh.
Congrats BTW! Indie is beautiful :-).
The Jazzy Nation
Lol!
Men never seem to know that until they are preparing for a birth and someone tells them 😂
The Jazzy Nation Like. ....actual poop? Before or after the baby comes out!
The Jazzy Nation OMG I had no idea that this could happen! DAMN! I'm laughing so hard haha
I remember watching your videos of you doing your eyeliner with the cork mac eyeshadow in your bedroom and NOW IM WATCHING YOUR BIRTHING VIDEO. I'm baffled. Congratulations!
Omg. She is SO CUTE!!!!!! Such a little doll!!!!
This is amazing. Got so emotional. Huge congrats Sam and Jason and Indie :).
She's beautiful, just like her mom. So happy for you and Jason.
You're glowing and she's so cute! Thanks for sharing your story

(and the pups!) xx
i LOVE how liberated you are in this video .. congratulations girl x
I was so excited to see this in my sub box 💕💕
Aww she's a little angel 👼🏼 Sammie I
So excited to see what cloths your now going to be wearing so could you do like a clothing haul of new cloths you been buying and how u will style them . Your looking as beautiful as ever too xxx
Sammi, your description of having Indie-Rose was SO beautiful and poetic. It truly touched me and I KNOW you and Jason are going to be the best parents. Sensitive, loving souls as you both are...there is no doubt
im so sorry some people have come on here and have been so rude about Indie-Rose, she is so beautiful like a little doll, wishing You, Jason, Indie and the dogs a happy life together x
ahh I've been waiting for this! so happy for you, she's absolutely beautiful!
Eeeeep so excited! You look glowing babe! So happy for you xx
She is really beautiful, congratulations mummy and daddy 💕
TFS
omit one to at the end. error
Sam she is beautiful!! Congrats to you both xx
Okay this is so weird, i remember watching you when you first started and seeing you with a beautiful baby is so weird!! i feel like i've watched you grow up😂
leahwinfield I was just thinking that!
leahwinfield yeah I started watching in 2012 so I find this so weird also! 😂 but amazing x
LeahsBeautyUK omg me too! Ive been subscribed to her since she had like 500 subs 😩😂 I feel so old!
LeahsBeautyUK lol yes!
loved watching this, congratulations on your baby Indie, she's gorgeous!
Aw Sam congrats!!! She's beautiful x
Sammieeee you've scared me with "everything exploded" 😳😳😳😳 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kristy Chapman Me too!!! I was like... oh no, that doesn't sound good 🙈
probably just means she threw up and poo'd at the same time

haha my bad sammi! sending my love to you, Indie and Jason :) no more explosions!
Watching this video has taken me back to my labour, 8 months on and I have definitely NOT forgotten the pain!
I'm beyond proud of you Sam, mothers deserve all the respect and your baby is beyond beautiful. Such a blessing, much love.
i just cannot believe that you are now a momma. i still remember when i used to watch you waaaay back in the day when all you loved was nars foundation and mac products 😂😂 lol congratulations!!
Indie is beautiful! You're a mummy! ❤️❤️❤️
She's gorgeous! Please do an after labour video ! Xx
AWW that is a BEAUTIFUL baby 😍😍
OMG I'm so proud of you Sam! I know she's still teeny tiny but I think she looks like Jason!
"They were all so nice..... except one she was weird" I laughed way too hard at that😂😂😂
This was soooooooo positive and lovely to hear how you said you would already do it all again and the pain was all worth it so don't be scared.. for girls about to become mummy's! You're glowing, you just look like you're full of love. I'm so happy for you :)! Xxxxxx
SHE'S THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BABY!!! I've been following you for ages. I can't believe you're a mom. Best wishes, xo.
Amazing Sam. Well done to all Mums. I'm nearly 60 and have never had a child and I felt about 10 years ago I was ready but it was already too late! LOL
I can't believe the little nugget is finally here!
Question for my therapist: Is my subconscious trying to tell me something by watching all of these labour videos while being a 'sworn off men' 24 year old? 😂😂
P.S. It's lovely to see how happy you are!
hmm I think so 😉
Visualise and write down who you want in your life. have faith dear. all the best wishes x
also a sworn off men 24 year old!! haha
I am not pregnant or planning to get pregnant any time soon but I just love these type of videos because they are so filled with love! Your baby girl is beautiful and I am so happy for you, I hope you have a magical time with her and I look forward to watching her grow. lots of love. xx
You are so upbeat and lovely. LOVE watching birth stories, and so enjoyable to hear yours. Your daughter is beautiful. Congrats!
I nearly spat out my tea when you said 'they were all so lovely and felt like giving them a care package after..apart from one she was weird' omg😂 indie is so beautiful!!😍

You are glowing and baby Indie is such a little cutie, you look beautiful together! ♥
Jason's Birth Video was honestly stunning, moved me to the point of tears so incredible. Congratulations to the both of you on such a beautiful baby❤
I think I'm one of the few who definitely remembers the pain and all the hell of being pregnant. 2 was all I could manage. But that's what's great, we're all different! I do love the part of getting to hold your baby. Nothing beats that high or feeling. Congrats to you and your family!
