Floating shelves above the toilet and some artwork on the other wall would really work. Amazing job on the bathroom! Complete transformation and looks so warm and inviting, especially with the added feature of the low light switch, very clever!
Definitely storage space of some sort above the toilet. Floating shelves or a cabinet that stylish. I love the way you did the bathroom. I think it’s so modernized and bright and airy and spacious and thank you for finally letting us see the end result. It’s amazing and the fruit of your effort is evident by the smiles on your face.
Was it pretty expensive to move your toilet plumbing from one side to the other? in a similar situation thanks.. Also do you have a link for the tub or just the brand/name?
So beautiful! I love it! You should definitely find some more storage options to go above the toilet and maybe a picture to put up by the door would be nice. Looking forward to seeing more beautiful renovations 😁
Love the new bathroom very chic and cozy …some shelves above toilet with maybe a hanging plant and some art work on the other side to look at while enjoying the new bathroom 🙂…good job you have done the space has been well used 👌👍
Love your bathroom!! I really love how you combined both modern and rustic styles together. I suggest the floating shelves above the toilet. And an art piece on the side wall.
STUNNING 🤩 So worth waiting for. And I’m with everyone else, some storage above the toilet. Although I’m partial to a white cabinet with frosted glass doors with gold handles/knobs. Prevents needing to keep open shelves dusted and cleaned, and minimises the risk of anything falling into the loo ☺️👍🏼
Thank you for the video! Very informative. Would you please share information about where you got your bathtub and the type/manufacturer? Again, thank you.
What if you did 2-3 floating shelves that wrap around the corner and cover both walls? L-shaped shelves. Lots and lot of storage/decorating/plant space. :)
you should totally get a vintage hatch for over the toilet to bring in more of that rustic/farmhouse flare that you're trying to incorporate. that would bring a lot of warmth into that bathroom as well :)
Love your style, so minimalist and elegant, yet cozy and inviting. If you want to store things you don't want to see, a shallow cabinet with doors over the toilet would work, or three offset floating ones if you to be able to see the items, with art on the door wall of course. I love the tray on your tub, was that something we could get in the states? Also, lovely seeing you in a new video!
Love it! I think some shelves over toilet would look nice. Maybe open shelves in a stained wood would pull in the color of the shampoo bottles. You could use it for towels or put baskets on shelves for storage.
Such a great job! 🙌 I also agree with others here. Floating shelves on top of the toilet. It gives you some storage but keeps the area open. Happy New Year! 🫶🏼
I would do a full shelf/cabinet over the toilet, rattan or wood would look so nice and add depth of color and texture with all the white. As you host more it will be helpful to have more storage for your guests as well. Definitely use the space you have!
What a great little bathroom and the swivelling tap is so smart! I'll never understand why Americans don't use hand showers though. A missed opportunity in my book! Happy new year and good luck with the 2023 projects!
Carrie it came out great! 😍 I love the gold hardware with the white and touches of greenery. Just beautiful. I’m so happy that you and Alex have a nice bathroom to enjoy now.
I think I would do a built-in shelving unit, from floor to ceiling, surrounding the toilet, for storage. I wish I could upload a photograph here of what I have in mind, but if you look at space saving storage cabinets above toilets- on Pinterest, you will find it! I would do something flat- fairly close to the wall, so that it doesn’t feel overly obtrusive. Which is why I would do it from floor to ceiling so you can really maximize the storage space. And if you do it well, it can look like an art piece in itself! Also, I would make sure that most of it is closed storage, so you can’t see anything (which as you know, makes a space feel cluttered). White in color so it blends in with the wall. Maybe with frosted glass paneling or stain glass panels. But maybe have a little alcove space in the middle, above the toilet, where you could put an art piece, with Lighting right above it to highlight it….. OR, you could also do lots of built-in storage along the entirety of the wall where the door opens into the bathroom. That way you can’t see it until you’re in the bathroom. And if you do it well, it could be really pretty and look like an art piece too! Also, if you didn’t want to do built-in shelving long, the entirety of the wall- you could just do one or two large shelves that span across the wall horizontally, above the door- which could be a really pretty raw wood, with woven baskets to store items- so it looks like an art piece too.
Beautiful job.❤ Gold hexagonal floating shelves would look nice above the toilet to match the floor tiling and color scheme. Maybe some inspirational thought for wall art. Also I found with salt lamps, they need to stay on 24/7 so they don't leak.
I’d put a hanging plant in the corner above the toilet and then you could add a little shelf, art or cupboard above the toilet itself 🪴 looks beautiful!
Love that the first video of the new year is the bathroom reveal!! In the empty space above the loo maybe some open shelves that are an l shape from the corner wall to the back wall to allow more storage, but can double as 'decor'. Looking forward to the vlogs coming back💞
My bathroom has the same layout. If you don’t mind, what is the width of the bathroom? I would love to mimic this style with the sink and toilet swap, like you did.
Another vote for adding storage above the toilet, but I also wanted to add that maybe a combo mirror-shelf situation might help make that space seem bigger. Either a mirror with 1 or 2 shelves below it or a small cabinet with a mirror on the door!
Above the toilet you should do x2 white floating shelves and then put two small baskets on top which can you could stack toilet paper and toilet spray and the other basket could have hand and face towels neatly rolled up like a spa
I know over toilet storage units might be a bit bulky and fussy for some, but perhaps check out Mitre 10 for industrial shelving (with timber shelves) you could adjust to your needs. You could always spray paint the metal a matte gold.
it looks beautiful! I also have small bathrooms and the previous owner was an interior designer, the bathroom pain is a grey/white that gives it some character while making it feel bigger than it is. total transformation🙌
I have a white cabinet with glass doors, two shelves and a towel rod underneath. It allows you to put items on the top of it, the two shelves for candles, special him/her fragrances, or elegant canisters to house cotton balls/q-tips. It is a versatile and perfect for above the toilet. I’ll see if I can take a send a photo. It could be homemade I bet as it is nothing elaborate, but it is wonderful to have. Your Reno was wonderful to watch and the results are phenomenal! I just LOVE the sink, faucet and the mirror. Actually I love every inch of it ❤
Looks so beautiful and really makes me want to renovate my smaller old bathroom! It’s one of the only rooms in my house I didn’t renovate and I’m just so intimidated by the cost of plumbing
My personal opinion for the space above the toilet is to either leave it as it is now (it looks fine to me) or maybe add one piece of art work to fill up the space. No shelves or cupboard is necessary in that space. WHY? because someone can easily hit their head while sitting on the toilet - especially a child!! And if you guys do eventually have kids - you dont want them to be hitting their heads!! Love the bathroom. The final reveal was worth the wait!! Thank you!!
Love this bathroom! What tub did you get to fit in this corner? Definitely taking inspiration from you! I would love to do the tub that way in our reno, just having trouble with a product description for tub and the glass
Yeah I was gonna suggest a shelf with a couple of odor absorbing plants, so you get nice green plants (eye candy) and fresher air (nose candy), win win.
Beautiful bathroom but you will hate the white grout on the floor when it catches some dirt. Never White grout on the floor. Also I think that a shower handle (I am not sure how to call it, the part that you can move, not the head) woul be grat as it helps with bathtub cleaning.
what is the measurement for the bathroom? i have a bathroom that is almost identical that i would like to get remodeled and have a curbless walk-in installed
Looking great Carrie! I want a bath after watching this and I am NOT a bath person haha. Did you do your sleepout bathroom up at the same time? I recall you or Alex mentioning you were going to do this at the same time. Can’t wait to see that transformation as well!
Floating shelves above the toilet and some artwork on the other wall would really work. Amazing job on the bathroom! Complete transformation and looks so warm and inviting, especially with the added feature of the low light switch, very clever!
Thank you!!
Beat me to it. Floating shelves with another drooping plant on there would look cool.
First of all, I love your bathroom. You both did an amazing job.
Floating shelves was exactly what I was thinking too.
Where did you get the tub from amazing job
I love the bathroom tub, may you please update me as to where you got it from. Thanks Carrie
This bathroom was worth waiting for, its beautiful ! I love the little touches the low light and product storage make it feel so luxury.
Hey, fantastic bathroom. can you please share some links and names of the marerials you got please. vanity, sink, gold hardware 🙏🏻
What is the name of the tub? I've been looking for a rectangle deep soaking tub forever!
Where is the tub from
This bathroom turned out so good. I know it feels great in there knowing you guys had your hand in the process.
Was it pretty expensive to move your toilet plumbing from one side to the other? in a similar situation thanks.. Also do you have a link for the tub or just the brand/name?
This is such perfect timing because I'm looking at inspiration to reno my own bathroom and I wanted white herringbone tile and gold fixtures! Gorgeous
So beautiful! I love it! You should definitely find some more storage options to go above the toilet and maybe a picture to put up by the door would be nice. Looking forward to seeing more beautiful renovations 😁
It looks beautiful Carrie! You both did amazing. I love the heated towel rack + the painting you found. 💫💫
Thank you so much!!!
The bathroom looks amazing! Love the reararngement of the toilet, makes the room looks bigger as well. You did a great job!

Carrie, this is stunning!! Thank you for sharing 😊
Can you link your towel Warmer!?!
So glad to have you back! The bathroom is perfection.
I think that some beautiful light wooden floating shelves with baskets for storage (and maybe another plant) above the toilet would be so pretty
Omg the bathroom looks perfect! I love the golden touches and the nice heated towel rack! Sounds like a dream ✨
Amazing job, congrats 🙌
Thank you!!
You guys did amazing! I also have a small renovation project.. could you share tub and glass wall information, please..
Looks incredible!! The painting really makes it feel homey.
I love this, Carrie!!🤍 Also, the “Tyler’s” did such a great job!🤣🤣
Thank you for the video! Very informative. Would you please share information about where you got your bathtub and the type/manufacturer? Again, thank you.
I agree. Floating shelves above the toilet would be great. Perhaps some nice wood ones would add an additional organic yet rustic detail.
What if you did 2-3 floating shelves that wrap around the corner and cover both walls? L-shaped shelves. Lots and lot of storage/decorating/plant space. :)
A raw edge wood shelf by the toilet would be perfect!
you should totally get a vintage hatch for over the toilet to bring in more of that rustic/farmhouse flare that you're trying to incorporate. that would bring a lot of warmth into that bathroom as well :)
The bathroom is fabulous just like you would see in a magazine Good job Carrie and Alex
Love your style, so minimalist and elegant, yet cozy and inviting. Looks gorgeous. Shelves above the toilet with basket storage x
What is the brand of the bathtub?? I need it!
I love the floor. Do you know what it is called and where I could find one exactly like it?
So beautiful. Can I know is where you get the wall tile and what’s the model number? Appreciate it!
Wow it’s all so perfect!!!! I love It all
I would do a full shelf/cabinet over the toilet, rattan or wood would look so nice and add depth of color and texture with all the white. As you host more it will be helpful to have more storage for your guests as well. Definitely use the space you have!
I agree, it needs a touch of wood or something brown, rattan would work but I personally like wicker better.
Hi! Where did you get the tub? It looks great and I’d love to do something similar!
wooden floating shelves would look great above the toilet!
Great video and great ideas, thanks! Any chance you can share the cost of the reno and also where you got your gold hardware from? Thank you 🙏
What a great little bathroom and the swivelling tap is so smart! I'll never understand why Americans don't use hand showers though. A missed opportunity in my book! Happy new year and good luck with the 2023 projects!

Absolutely love!!!! It’s perfection! I agree with the floating shelves

I’d put a hanging plant in the corner above the toilet and then you could add a little shelf, art or cupboard above the toilet itself 🪴 looks beautiful!
What about those beautiful wood pieces that have a natural line as shelving, with the bark area having a gold tint for above the toilet
It’s gorgeous! Such a transformation :). I’d put a mirror above the loo..
Nice job! What is the bathtub and overall dimensions of it?
Yes either deal wood shelving, or a white cabinet for the storage, and a hanging plant 🙌🏻
The bathroom looks AMAZING :) Proud of you and Alex!!!
Hi Carrie! Love this so much. My old home bathroom is almost the same footprint. Could you link everything?
Vote for above the toilet space: 2 floating shelves in the same wood you have on your floors elsewhere in the house
Love that the first video of the new year is the bathroom reveal!! In the empty space above the loo maybe some open shelves that are an l shape from the corner wall to the back wall to allow more storage, but can double as 'decor'. Looking forward to the vlogs coming back💞
Incredible transformation. LOVE ITTTT!!! So excited for the whole house tour 😁😁😁😁❤️❤️
My bathroom has the same layout. If you don’t mind, what is the width of the bathroom? I would love to mimic this style with the sink and toilet swap, like you did.
With the space over the toilet I would do floating shelves with industrial brackets or hang a tapestry
Another vote for adding storage above the toilet, but I also wanted to add that maybe a combo mirror-shelf situation might help make that space seem bigger. Either a mirror with 1 or 2 shelves below it or a small cabinet with a mirror on the door!
Good to see u too back happy new year
Above the toilet you should do x2 white floating shelves and then put two small baskets on top which can you could stack toilet paper and toilet spray and the other basket could have hand and face towels neatly rolled up like a spa
I know over toilet storage units might be a bit bulky and fussy for some, but perhaps check out Mitre 10 for industrial shelving (with timber shelves) you could adjust to your needs. You could always spray paint the metal a matte gold.
Looks great, well done! 👏
Hi Carrie, love this renovation. Could you let me know where you got the bath and what are its dimensions. Thanks ❤
Such a beautiful bathroom, you have made the space look amazing!
Thank you!!! 🫶
it looks beautiful! I also have small bathrooms and the previous owner was an interior designer, the bathroom pain is a grey/white that gives it some character while making it feel bigger than it is. total transformation🙌
Yes lighter colors definitely help to make the space feel more open and airy!
I have a white cabinet with glass doors, two shelves and a towel rod underneath. Oh, that just looks amazing! Well done, you two! What a change!
Thank you!! 💛
How much did the total bathroom renovation cost? I’m looking to renovate my small outdated bathroom. I love your bathroom!
Lovely reno
Looks so beautiful and really makes me want to renovate my smaller old bathroom! It’s one of the only rooms in my house I didn’t renovate and I’m just so intimidated by the cost of plumbing
Look at Made of Tomorrow. They do a range of modern and sleek shelving for unusual spaces.
I know you just finished your walls but put shelves in the wall similar to the shower and have a piece of art as a door to cover win win
Love how it came together Carrie. What colour paint did you use on your walls?
My personal opinion for the space above the toilet is to either leave it as it is now (it looks fine to me) or maybe add one piece of art work to fill up the space. No shelves or cupboard is necessary in that space. WHY? because someone can easily hit their head while sitting on the toilet - especially a child!! Love the bathroom. The final reveal was worth the wait!! Thank you!!
Beautifully bathroom, I'd love some of your "thrift with me" content!
looks awesome guys well done
Hey Carrie! What brand is the shower head/tub faucets?
Lovely, modern midmodern century? Thanks!
Beautiful! Loved this!
Your bathroom looks lovely. The wall colour is a lovely warm white - can you please share the name of the colour (and paint brand)?
Looks beautiful! Approximately how long did this take? And would you mind sharing the budget? Would love to do this some day
Hey Carrie! I LOVE your bathroom renovation just as much as your office space area
Love this bathroom! What tub did you get to fit in this corner? Definitely taking inspiration from you! I would love to do the tub that way in our reno, just having trouble with a product description for tub and the glass
What are the dimensions of your bathroom please? I need to do a bathroom reconfiguration and you’ll be done the most amazing job ❤
Great job guys ❤ looks amazing
I think a gold hexagonal shelf with a plant would look beautiful on that wall
Looks so beautiful!💕🌸
Yeah I was gonna suggest a shelf with a couple of odor absorbing plants, so you get nice green plants (eye candy) and fresher air (nose candy), win win.
Beautiful bathroom but you will hate the white grout on the floor when it catches some dirt. Never White grout on the floor. Also I think that a shower handle (I am not sure how to call it, the part that you can move, not the head) woul be grat as it helps with bathtub cleaning.
Hi Carrie, I love the bathroom. Prop to Alex for the camera work.
Just beautiful. With NZ being sooooo expensive do you feel comfortable sharing what your finished cost was to complete remodel like this?
I would put a hanging plant over the toilet! Or, wooden shelves you can put a plant on..I would add a but more warmth and wood in there.
Do you have a link for the tub or even the name I’m looking for one like that!
what is the measurement for the bathroom? i have a bathroom that is almost identical that i would like to get remodeled and have a curbless walk-in installed
Looking great Carrie! I want a bath after watching this and I am NOT a bath person haha. Did you do your sleepout bathroom up at the same time? I recall you or Alex mentioning you were going to do this at the same time. Can’t wait to see that transformation as well!
We did! We are back in the sleep-out working on Renovations.
Love love love the bathroom! 😍
Thank you 💛
what brand/ where did you get the vanity?
Love this content!
