I can't get over what a beaming ray of sunshine Rhiannon is, I really noticed it this episode. So cheerful and smiley, don't ever change!
And cool twist that Sentry might have to be reincarnated as something else, instead of just coming back, if they do revive her, interesting. When they said they had experience with ghosts and stuff all I could think was (yeah they ran away... lol) but the party is stronger now.
Off topic, I started watching Dead Reckoning a little while ago, Kim's Worthless is creepy AF... And I love it! Tarin and Worthless are great.
Recently my Oread Warpriest died during a game. I decided to reincarnate. There'd been a lot of joking about how slow my Oread was. I got reincarnated as a mermaid. My face when I'm faster with no legs than I was with two. I also weigh more and am taller. Madness!
I like how Rhianna went from sentry a person who new little of the world to Oriya the person who is guiding the group

I have a theory that someone is currently impersonating Lucius to his family. It would explain why Daddy retracted the reward on Lucius.
Oooh, interesting thought!! Like some organisation heard about the crash, assumed he was dead and seized the opportunity. And after they uncover the impostor and things are straightened out, we get a really interesting moment where the party realizes that the charade had been going on for an oddly long amount of time and Lucius confronts his family about how they didn't realize a stranger was living with them for almost a month and the Elinasto family is forced to recognize just how dysfunctional they are and this helps them address their issues and become better as a unit.

Cayne I think the imposter would just say that they lost it and that would be enough. Although the case could also be brought up in the family confrontation as proof that Lucius takes his father seriously and cares about what he does even when he was so overlooked that a stranger could take his place for a month without detection

Oriya's stats are nuts... those are some really interesting rolls. Nothing super high but amazingly well rounded.
With my games we usually do the 4d6 drop lowest rule. My brother constantly rolls 18's and to keep from having a character with over 16 in all his stats we always have to lower his and its hilarious. I get that it's not his fault that his stats are always like that but it'd make his guys completely OP if I didn't lower them, truly nuts.

Once when I was dming and the barbarian got it, after a while I ruled that healing word is enough magical healing to fix it after a while, I had him play as sildar for one mission before he got better

Mark has a habit of making campaigns with impending invasions.
It is a good catalyst. Pushes the players into action, provides plenty of foreshadowing, etc.

@@Maseman90 they are spending as much time dealing with nova's 'woe is me' as trying to resurrect sentry. Veing sad is fine but wallowing in sadness and attempting to bring everyone down and keep the focus on fixing her rather than sentry she is imo being kinda selfish.

Thinking back on the first Campaign Cam ended up super powerful. He brought quiet a few people back to life. I think it was even said at one point that he was the most powerful priest in the world or something
Having someone as committed to the rp as trott at the table is a joy, favorite scene. So damn good.
Love this session. You all are doing amazing. So far the party has been staying mum about the Starbane news. Why not just get the word out about the coming invasion to every person in authority that they can?
a) No one would believe them b) It is partially their fault and c) It would cause an unnecessary uproar that none of them want to deal with, at least that is my belief.
@@aarontilney3787 A bit late to the party, but I think it would be more along the lines of people not wanting to believe them. I mean you cannot tell me that the first continent was the only one with activity of Starbane's forces. On your second part, well they were between a rock and a hard place. (it would have been either a Archfiend or Starbane) And I think Starbane is the lesser of two evils.

anyone else read this reddit article where a dnd campaign was derailed by a econmist player whom managed to amass some sort of in game bussiness empire, with which he hire a few hundred mercernaries to destroy the campaigns main antognist. Think the dm was annoyed, but wound up laughing as what he did in the game made his other players take up some uni course on economics...
I did something similar to that in a 3.5 Ed. game (or maybe it was Pathfinder). I was a Wizard and put most of my skill points in Craft and Profession skills (woodcarving, silversmithing, jewelry crafting, etc.) and saved up the majority of my adventuring monies. At 3rd level I took the Craft Wondrous Item feat and went into business selling enchanted items (almost exclusively with _Prestidigitation:_ tankards that keep drinks cold, plates that keep food warm, forks and spoons that flavor food, clothes that clean themselves, etc.). I then retired that character and he became the NPC that funded the party's expeditions for the rest of the campaign.
@@arcticbanana66 thinking on this I believe I made an 5e android wizard, that would do the same via founding an adventure guild, after its missing brain was found. As it holds true to its original purpose of finding, identifying and build improvement to existing technology. Pretty see it concluding it would be more efficient to offer free magic item identification to guild members....

2 extra questions they could've asked to make nova feel better:
1: If someone were to go down in a battle and you want over to protect them and died in the process, would you blame them/ feel mad at them?
2: Is nova smart and strong?
No doubt sentry would answer no to the first one and yes to the second, which would make nova feel much better
If they could have convinced Nova to stay and listen to the answers...
I think the eldritch blasrs at the ground should have done some vibrating. He said there's no force behind it but mark my boy, it does force damage so I think there should still be a little, even if it was only in like a 1-5 foot diameter

He is sat in the back of a wagon with his hands bound behind his back, across from him is long haired bearded man in an exquisite cloak, his mouth gagged. Beside him another man, long grey hair, also bound but not gagged.

Surely one of them would be capable of learning it at this point?
The ritual is probably the Gentle Repose spell, or its 5e equivalent. That being the case, Quill can probably already learn it, and Nova is currently disdaining all academia.
@@AGrumpyPanda Just looked it up in my handbook and its a 2nd level necromancy spell and has components that are easy to get, so theoretically they can just keep casting it until they find city of glass or Shepherd.

If Qill is high enough level to cast it he would already know it, it is a Cleric spell and Cleric's don't learn spells, they have access to every spell the class can cast, just need to prepare. I am pretty sure he already has it. And if my assumption is right and Nova switched from path of the tome to something else, I don't think she can cast the spell.

When they said the sheppard, a follower of the god of death would be able to help them with Sentry I was expecting a resurrection but when he said Druid and reborn as a different race I freaked out. I'm so hopping this is my first time witnessing a reincarnate spell.

I wonder if they had have somehow won against the cult and stopped the portal from opening at all if this campaing would be completely different. Now the gods are acting and choosing chosens to fight back.
It's weird. There is 3 things that could have happened, from what I know, all with vast differences.
1. They could have won and stopped the portal from opening, continued on the adventure. I am sure the Starbane stuff would have all happened eventually
2. They let the demon out and basically become evil characters in order to survive.
3. This, the thing that from what Mark said was the least likely.

Im interested to see how that will affect sentry's story, especially her "model" being one of a kind. Assuming they use reincarnate and she is no longer a guardian, the use that her model has is no more. Not sure if she would even be able to continue with her own storyline as a guardian and as the sentry "model". Of course, she would probably change her mission from finding the prime to protecting the party, how well she would take that change in stride, is, well, up to Rhiannon. Who knows, maybe they even fail the ressurection time limit somehow. I really like all this.

Its not force as in kinetic energy that pushed and pulls its more magical than that and should probably have been named something like "arcane/magic damage" instead. So even if her blast are force it lacks the kinetic force to do it if that makes sence.

I do wonder how long they are going to go before trying to heal his eye and wing/arm. For what's facing them they are going to need all the help they can get.
Unfortunately the magic to restore a severed or destroyed limb/organ (Regenerate) is a 7th level spell. They're having trouble finding people with 5th level spell slots, let alone someone with magic orders of magnitude more powerful. For my part I'm expecting the magical artifact Hesper mentioned to be some sort of magical replacement for one of Quill's limbs.

She is a multiclass ranger - monster slayer/rogue (she used the "slayers prey" ability before), she is only level 4 so she isn't high enough level to have a rogue archetype yet because 3 of her 4 levels are in ranger (ranger 3/rogue 1)
Rogue archetypes are gained at level 3, she's currently rogue 2/ranger 3
