Vanadam has been Onyx rank in every halo game (Reach,5 and infinite) and reached very high ranks in Halo 2 and 3 solo queue. With over 14 years of insight I help players who want to improve reach higher ranks. These videos are intended to help players understand the dynamics of solo play in halo infinite to help them gain CSR and push to higher ranks. One of the biggest challenges of climbing in this game is understanding team dynamics in pick up groups and how your actions cause more things than you realse.

    Firstly:
    Fair play to the player who sent the VOD footage… I’m sick of people who send in a VOD to people where they have a game in a million (the best VODs to review are the ones where you lose)
    I’m Gold2 (SBMM took me fro Gold 5.5) I’m good but cannot carry a team
    This review was amazing I have learnt so much.
    Smurfers and boosters are a cancer in Gold but when u get a full Gold lobby this advice is priceless.
    I’m old school Halo and try to hit a headshot every shot !!!
    Thanks so much for the help

      Your story parallels mine. All the way from the cusp of Platinum to currently a Gold 2. Crap teammates (not that I am anything great) or a lot of load ins with only 3 people. Especially savage for Extraction mode. I would be happy to send in a VOD for review, and I have already seen things in this video that I am sure I am doing as well.

      I've never fought a Smurf while climbing out of Gold, the thing that always holds me back is teammates with negative KDA before mid game, not working on control objectives, and generally no communication or working together.

    Another tip that would help: around the 11:15 mark, this person rushes right past the disrupter that would have helped with the reload situation. There’s zero reason to not have a free backup weapon. Gotta utilize the sandbox

    I think with the new bandit starts, the meta has changed, and people who don't have good individual skill expression are falling down the ladder. A lot of Golds were Plats previous seasons, and these were the Plats that have bad aim, who crutched the BR too much, and were poor with sandbox weapons. I think the key to getting out of Gold is getting good with the Bandit rifle, and team shooting. Learn how to win your 1s, focus on the 5 shot, and don't worry a ton about strafing. Yes, there will be many times you will have to carry burgers who have no idea what they are doing, or who think they are Rambo and are going to kill everyone on the map by themselves. I have a few gold friends, and their main common mistakes are ego challenging everybody, having horrible aim, and running around the map with no concept of what they are supposed to be doing. They couldn't get the idea of team shooting, so I told them, go follow each other, and try to steal each other's kills. Now one of them is in Platinum. Ultimately, if you can consistently get over 60% accuracy, and top damage every game in Gold, you won't be in Gold very long, that's a guarantee.

    I think the number one thing that anyone playing Ranked can do, despite teammates or personal skill is be on mic. There are plenty of games where I've won where all the players have better K/D than our team, but the communication helped us win. There are also times when I'm the only one marking or on mic and "carrying" where we could get easy wins just on simple communication. I appreciate these videos and take them seriously because I'm trying to rank of out Gold in Infinite, but it's still almost impossible unless you're only teaming up. Last time I joined a party with just one person, we both were pretty average (positive K/D, but nothing crazy), but went 7-0 just off communication alone.

    Here is another crazy strat I did to blast my way out of Gold solo queueing. Your team is going 1 direction, so you go the other direction when you spawn in. What typically happens is the enemy Golds will get too focused on your teammates, and you will get behind them most of the time getting backsmacks or clean up kills. It makes it look like your team is hitting them from all sides, and they will get demoralized, get destroyed, and then predictably rage quit. Running opposite of them ONLY works if you are running or curb sliding if you know how to do that. If you are bot walking and being Mr Sloth because you watched the Dodd Mcfodds videos from 2 seasons ago, this won't work, and then the enemy will destroy you in 3 and 4v1s because they wiped your team and caught you lolly gagging by yourself on the other side of the map. But if you are running, you also get to give the enemy chaotic spawns as well and cause more confusion for them. This does not work once you hit mid Platinum though. But you can get away with this easily in Gold 6 especially.

    • @vigilantestylez
      @vigilantestylez 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      To better illustrate this concept is first avoid the mid at all costs, just run the parameter of the map. Let's say on streets, your team spawns in C for instance, and they run to arcade, then you should go purple street, but don't just run like a doo doo brain, when you have sight lines on your team, check them, then run if no action and keep rotating until you run into your team, and then keep running past them. Only break from this to get spanker, or help contest it, otherwise you can run opposite of the team, and cause chaos for the enemy. They will always feel like someone is behind them, and they may even start camping, and becoming sitting ducks for you and your team. Also, pre aim the areas where you most likely will encounter enemies, so when coming up purple pre aim the cafe, and then back A, when you get to bandit spawn check the sight line to PD and hologram, then continue rotating back A then into PD, then to B so on and so forth.

    • @vigilantestylez
      @vigilantestylez 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      1 last situation. 2 of your teammates run 1 side, and 1 runs the other side, go with the 1. Then it will be 2 on both sides, and that is common to see in high Platinum and low Diamond lobbies. Congrats your team is playing like high Plats, and they don't know it. Also, remember to team shoot, so challenge yourself to steal their kills.

    • @VanadamYT
      @VanadamYT  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      alot of my playstyle evolves from similar play like this. it's somewhat akin to a lurker / flanking role in games like valorant.
      you really won't find tactical awareness like this in gold so players won't expect or anticipate flanks or coordinated crossfire at any point really. I do music stuff also and usually we send things through wetransfer, plus my Google drive is full of music projects and software i haven't used in a while so i need to clean it up a bit. 😊 I think at the time of the video i was low Plat, but now I finally crossed into Diamond territory and am going back and forth from High Platinum to low Diamond. 😊 I always keep your advice in mind when I'm playing because now at this level small mistakes are being punished a lot. Your videos really helped me take my game to the next level. 😊😊 Lmk when the coast is clear and I'll send that video again. Would love to see your perspective on how we performed in that "beef" game. The enemy team had 3 onyx players and a low plat, my team had 2 onyx players, a diamond, and me at the time a low platinum. Everyone was mic'd up, and this was a must win game because the enemy platinum thought it would be cool to get Onyx players to crush me at the time to make himself feel great, so i got my own onyx and diamonds on gold Smurf accounts to even the score. 😅 I figure the viewers would love this. 😅

    For the segment in the 1st two min. I think you are saying that it is a bad position to be especially for a gold player. But I think You should be praising the idea of what the player was doing. He is watching spawns from the enemy team, which is really good. He is playing a long sight line that is hard to challenge off of spawn also good. But the execution was off. If he was doing the same idea from top gold he would have been in a stronger position with more escape opportunities I didn't see that get touch on But maybe there is more of the video that was cut out.

      @@APatchworkCanvas wrong. All you have to do to get out of gold is to be good at winning your gunfights, and that's it. Teamwork is almost nonexistent and is not really needed. Every Gold has aim problems, and ego challenges too much. Learn how to get out of bad situations, and learn how to win your gunfights, and you will get as far as Platinum 2 before you have to be worried about setups, spawn control, etc. If you play at 3am, you aren't playing Golds. Gold 6 is a smurf lobby at 3am. You will be facing Diamonds, and Onyxs who can't get a game that late at night, and just want to "vibe" with friends, which means "sweating" for you.
