I discovered that on Printify -- under the "Your Design" toolbars (when you are setting up the mockup), there are arrows that let you center the design vertically or horizontally. It's still not as slick as Printful's setup, but it saves me from having to eyeball everything.

Hi, I'm interesting on your video...I have a question; How to write product description even we don't know the printing material of the t shirts? Thanks Cheers!
Hallo there and thanks for the nice video...my doubt on printify is the shipping cost charge...if I sell different products from different merchants, and a costumers add on his basket more than a product ( that comes from different merchants) shipping cost are unreasonable.. and a big big negative point from costumers point of view..what is annoying is that I can’t control this shipping cost part cause each merchants has it own... for instance, if someone want to buy a T-shirt and a mug , shipping go : 5 $ + 6$ USA {11$} ,or 10$ + 9 $ {19!} EU.. is pricy and a big reason to discard the basket items... On Printful shipping are a bit better take in consideration...just the catalog product is so boring... anyways, same example as above : costumers with the 2 item on basket : 7$+1,5$ USA {8,5$} or 5€+1,50€ EU {6,50 €!!} .. Is hard to choose where to go,I don’t know where is my costumers based...
Hi Brittany, thank you for this video, I'm starting up my own pod shop and I ordered from Printful, I wasn't too happy with the print quality. I'm thinking about ordering samples from printify. In your experience with printify and using two different suppliers, how do you reconcile the shipping cost if a customer orders your designs from two different suppliers? For example, one shirt from SwiftPOD and one from Dream junction in the same order.
Hey Brittany. Thanks for your informative videos! They really help. I have a question about sleeve printing. I was wanting to do sleeve printing and currently use printify but I would have to go overseas to get that feature. Printful has sleeve printing that's really simple but man does it take a bite out of your profit ($5 for both sleeves). Any advice you can give? Thanks in advance!
Thank you so much for this useful video. I’m currently trying both and what made me to go to Printful was extremely high international shipping cost in Printify - I’m based in the UK... only a few Printful products have option to be printed in Europe which is a shame ...
You’re very welcome! I know Printify has suppliers in the UK, is that what you had tried? Their shipping costs should be normal since it wouldn’t be international. It all depends on which supplier you choose!
Brittany Lewis yes, there is one but produces very limited type of products ie they don’t do tank tops, hoodies, tot bags, sweatshirts... it’s not good enough Im afraid because I can’t compete on price that way.
Makes sense! Yeah, go with whatever works best for you at the moment. It’s very possible Printify will expand their product offering in the UK. But until then, Printful sounds like your best option!
Brittany Lewis I hope so :). Alternatively, I can do the basic T-shirts and mugs with them and some other stuff with Printful. I’m very new to this world so we shall see ;) thanks for replying :)
Good info. Have to disagree with you on print quality, however. Tried using swiftPOD as a Printify printer. Was greatly disappointed when I received samples. Print quality is definitely on the low end. My high resolution design was printed in low resolution. As a result, it was fuzzy and colors were muddled. Additionally, shirt color bleed through way too much. This typically happens when printer is too cheap to under-print a layer of white before main image is printed. Might be better quality printers on Printify. Bottom line: if you use Printify and care about quality, do a little homework before selecting print provider. I have a query out to Printify help desk asking for more info on provider print quality.
Definitely! It’ll always vary depending on which supplier you choose. Printify will tell you they’re all high quality. The only way to eliminate this issue is to test whatever ones you’re interested in yourself! Like I said, I’ve never had print quality issues and have used SwiftPOD as well, so I think it also highly depends on your shirt/designs colors. Test, test, test!✨ Thanks for your input!
Hey Brittany! Love your channel and simple but concise and honest opinions of everything POD. Thanks for all the hard work you do to help us all. I'm a complete newbie and wondering if it's possible to send your designs (for tshirts) directly to Etsy? I'm trying to figure out a way to use mockups and Printful and Printify both, I believe, will not let you do that at first. HOWEVER, when you start a new design, only mockups come up!!! Not sure what to do!
I recommend using placeit.net! You’ll want to publish your items to Etsy through Printify or Printful and then go into the actual Etsy listings and update your photos!
@@BrittanyLewisBEAWOLFBIZ Thank you, Brittany! I was super Impressed with how quickly you replied. I've used Placeit a few times, and it really is awesome, so I'll take your advice! The print fulfullment people don't have any say in my using mock-ups from somewhere else, correct? I spent a lot of time trying to find info on that, but didn't find much. Just was puzzled at why they limit you on the mockups with no explanation. Gotta be something to do with $$$ ! Oh, well. Things will work out in the end.
Oh no, they couldn’t care less what photos you use! It’s your business, they work for YOU! As far as limiting the mockups, I’m not sure what you mean? I’ve never run into that. I started with Printful not knowing the extent of their delays and now I have a new shop with orders back to June 1st that still have not even begun to be produced. I have not yet had one simple order actually shipped out so I'm probably going to get all bad reviews for my first few reviews now.
I waited over a month and then got an email saying they were not even in stock for the product! I did a test before even launching and so glad I did. I used SwiftPOD on Printify and received my products in 2 weeks. Also, if you decide to make items like mugs, Printful is shipping those very quickly. I ordered a mug on Thursday and got it Monday.
There is another pod which is supposed to be a bit more expensive but better....? Does that ring a bell with you? I want to do my own brand & label & not have a Gilden label.....
Hi Brittany ,, I guess you sell the most in US but for European the shipping costs are much cheaper with Printful rather than Printify. A T-Shirt fullfilled in US and sent to Europe is around 7-11$ for international. With Printful is 3,69 euros. For example I was checking the Face Mask on Printify. They charge 11$ to ship to Europe, which is crazy.
Hi so I want to start my own shop for clothing, (but with my art on it not so much graphic words) I want to ask about packaging, I like the idea of there being my business card or freebies with my packaging and also I want to do more then just cloths (like prints on card or A4 print) so I want to ask if someone buys a order that’s not just a t shirt but also a 🤔 like a card , how would I be able to put them together? Would I have to send 2 packages?
Unfortunately, Printify isn't NOT up to date with their plugins. I use WooCommerce and their plugin won't work. I've been struggling to get Printify to even HELP me to even get them to integrate with my site, which I can't because they're WooCommerce plugin hasn't been update.
At some point I realized you sound like Lisa Kudrow. Haha your voices are very similar!!! Your voice is a bit deeper though but I can’t unhear it! Haha
Good comparison, you didn’t mention anything about the labels though. It seems that’s another reason why most choose Printify. There’s not too many options for labels.
Hi, thank you for these very informative videos. I have just integrated my printful account with Etsy, and what I'd like to know is - will Etsy charge me if I need to replace or change some or any of the arts I have uploaded with them? I'd appreciate any info, thanks.
Nope! The only time you’re charged by Etsy is when you first upload or renew the item ($0.20 renewal fee), or when the item sells (fees + renewal fee).
It was the "Analysis can’t be paralysis" for me ❤️. Do you make your own designs or does someone take care of it for you? And if yes what design software do you use?
Hello! So true isn’t it? I create all my own designs. I just launched a Design Bootcamp with every last shred of detail about how I do it. You HAVE to have a strategy. brittanylewis.podia.com/blank-to-bank-design-bootcamp
Can you help me? My Etsy account was deactivated after I integrated Printify. I don't know why. I haven't posted any products except the first when creating the store.
love your clarity! you focus mostly on t shirts and I read in the comments someone bought a mug and received it quickly, how do you feel about standard art prints and posters? I already have an account with printful and after watching comparison videos people say they are better for print quality, but now am worried about the delays everyone is talking about!
I use tshirts as a main focus cause it’s an easy example. You can make anything with print on demand work with the right strategy (Blank To Bank ;) The delays have gotten much better! Still not perfect, but not something to majorly worry about.
@@BrittanyLewisBEAWOLFBIZ but when i watch video on TH-cam about how to connect Printify with Etsy anybody set Production Partner and sell on Etsy without any problems. What do you think?
Question: when you say that Printify offers a 20% discount with their monthly fee, Is that 20% off already taken off or do they take the 20% off when you place the order?
Hey Brittany. I'm a year into POD via Teespring and RB and am ready to make the move to Printify. In an attempt to shorten my time researching i'm curious what specific products you would recommend. I'm used to only basic options like "Classic Tee" or "Premium Tee." Having so many options/manufacturers is confusing. Is it best to start with a good quality unisex t-shirt or is it best to dive right into various options like Women's T-shirt, V-Neck, Tank etc? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
On Etsy store below seller where it says meet seller. Is it possible to rephrase or change the line that says you created this with the help of print on demand ? Will this turn customers away when they read it ? Is there a point to hide this information ?
@@BrittanyLewisBEAWOLFBIZ especially on etsy right...i think you need to do your best to decrease chances of being shut down. I am opening the store tonight. Although i noticed many people it doesnt list print on demand when you can tell that their product is clearly by print on demand. maybe im just assuming.
Thank you for sharing. A question. Do you trademark or copyright your designs when you design them, before you send them to Printify or Printfil. I am leaning more towards Printify.
Printify is the best!!🥰 No, that would be a TON of time and work for every design and it’s a very long process so it’s not really feasible to do so. Anybody can rip it off even if it is copyright, they’ve just got to change a tiny aspect of it in order to do so. I wouldn’t worry about that. Far too much time is spent by new sellers worrying about this when the risk will always be there. I find my photos and designs all over the internet and I honestly don’t even care that much anymore. I take it as a compliment. I’m not sure it really even takes any business away from me either.
Thanks for the video! I want to start a phone case business and I just found out about Printify today. I would like to know from you which one is better, ordering the phone cases and selling them myself or partnering with Printify and selling it from their website. Hope you answer!
HI - I super appreciate your info! I am new- and am using Printify- I chose all colors for my design - and published-but only 3 out of the 5 showed up on my Etsy store?? Do you know how I can get the others on? Thanks so much!!
Sometimes if you “publish to store” and then click on it to soon all the colors don’t show up in the listing because they didn’t finish loading. But technical questions like this will need to be brought to Printify customer service. Their chat is really easy to use and they’re always super helpful!
If I’m just starting with them I’ll get a sample or two.. but I’ve ordered many over the years for shoots and stuff so I know how all colors will turn out. I know a lot of people who never order samples tho.. if something’s off.. your customers will be sure to let you know! Then you can adjust accordingly.
Regarding POD, i'm just trying Redbubble (just since last month), i'm a beginner, this is my first video i watch about Printify, i don't quite understand, i mean..is this not like Redbubble? Do i have to have a shop first before starting Printify?...hope you'll make it clear to me. 🙏🏻
Iactually am studying Teespring right now too and set up an email for it. It is a Gmail address but I haven't linked it to set up my storefront. Should I get a real .com business email instead? I like that Printify has many nice colors as Teespring has ugly basic ones.
I don’t think a business email is necessary! Try not to get caught up in any of those small details - the main thing is that you’re creating high demand items right now that will get you up and running quickly! I’m not a fan of teespring from what I know if it.. seems sort of limiting all around?
Hey! Just discovered your channel and subscribed to it! I love it! Can you please let us know what POD company do you use for mugs? Can't decide, so many options - there are pros and cons.
Thanks so much!! I use Printify for everything. Mugs aren’t my favorite since the market is SO saturated and their profit margin is pretty small. But I’d still recommend Printify if I did!
Thanks for the info queen! One question, if you use a gildan tshirt will the tshirt's label say Gildan as well? Or can you put a personal label? Thankssss
Yes, you are right, I have stalled due to a bit of "Paralysis by Analysis", however, I decided to launch my designs on Mugs, Hats and Wall Hangings on ETSY just to get it started. After launch and keeping track of it. Do you recommend adding my designs on TShirts, Hoodies once shipping begins to get back to normal on apparel? Please advise. Thanks.
My biggest thing is always start with research. I use Erank.com to evaluate the data before launching any type of product. It helps you understand what will be worth your time to launch in terms of active searches + competition. It’s been a gold mine resource/strategy for me!
Hi! I’m not sure what you mean? Printify is not a marketplace, just a place to create the products - so you will need your own shop to sell the items through.
I did get an answer but im interested in your input.. Thanks. So I had a sweatshirt for my store done, by swiftpod. the sweatshirt was red the letters were white. they actually looked pink as if the red had came through. i contacted swift pod and this was the response. Swift: As per checking, the print is already standard for a sweatshirt. The item is a 50/50 garment (50 Cotton/50 Polyester) which means that print will never be as vibrant as a 100% cotton garment. Based on the picture, the reprint will come out very similar. ME: So going forward. Do you recommend i go with 100% cotton shirts ? Swift: Yes, however, as long as hoodies and sweatshirts are concern, kindly expect a print not exactly the same as the printfile that will be provided. Thank you! Yeah that doesnt exactly sit right with me. Anyone have this problem? Do you recomend a different POD for this situation??
Yes, due to the nature of DTG, maroons and red fabrics will usually bleed through plain white ink. I’d recommend avoiding it if possible if the tinge isn’t something you as a seller are ok with,
@@BrittanyLewisBEAWOLFBIZ thank you. i have one more sample coming. someone recommended not using the hex code #FFFFFF but to use #FBFBFB a differnt shade of white on base. if this doesnt come out right i will remove those colors. in your experience has black cause any issues as such??
@@BrittanyLewisBEAWOLFBIZ Yes, but you don’t want to ship from the US to the EU because of customs? A lot nicer for customers is to get it from a European supplier, however you’ll need to pay VAT. That’s why Printful does it well, cause they’re one company with different warehouses, whereas Printify just connects you to a bunch of different suppliers. Personally, I’m using Printify because I only sell to the US and it’s good enough, however I’m uncertain if I can scale and shop worldwide with just a US supplier.
Hey, I've just opened my Etsy shop! I've chosen Printify but when I try to connect my shirts to my stores, they keep saying "Sorry, we couldn't publish this product. Please try again." Is this normal? Some shirts I have to click publish 10 times before it connects.
I haven’t had that problem before - there are a few different possibilities, but only printify’s team will be able to tell you exactly what’s up. Please contact them!
Im so conflicted, I was going to choose Printful but they delays are craazy, and with Printify I have seen a lot of videos with faded designs, and that the last thing I want
Printify is just fine. I’ve sold thousands and thousands of tees through them and it’s always been juuuust fine ;) don’t make it so hard on yourself. You can always switch later on if you need to.

Hi there! You video was super helpful. I'm trying to decide as well on which one I should use, but I'm still so indecesive that I'm not doing anything... What is making me unable to decide if I should use Printify or not is all the fulfillment centers stuff. I'm from Spain, but my online store sells mainly to customers from the United States, the UK and Spain. If I choose the fulfillment center in the United States, I guess the turn around will be quicker for a USA customer than a Spain customer, right? And the shipping cost, does it keep changing depending on the customer I guess? I don't know. It all seems too confusing for my 2 brain cells T___T
Hello! Thanks for watching!! Printful has fulfillment centers all over. So they’ll ship from wherever is closest to your customer. Printify ships from wherever the supplier you’ve chosen for that product is, but even if it’s in the US and you get an international order, the shipping costs are super reasonable. I never even notice tbh. Don’t let this part get you hung up. Close your eyes and pick one. Or pick both and see which you like better🤷🏻♀️ It’s not as serious as sellers treat it. Not at all.

Those 5 dislikes are the 5 printful employees 😂
🤣🤣🤣
Great video and very informative, this def. helps me a ton!
You are really the best I hope you can upload more videos
Thank you!! More to come this week, actually! 😉
I prefer Printify but lately, I have been having trouble, they run out of colors, so I use both
Hey Brittany!
You want to use mostly lifestyle photos anyway from placeit.

I use printful and its been good so far
That’s great!
I started with Printful not knowing the extent of their delays and now I have a new shop with orders back to June 1st that still have not even begun to be produced. I have not yet had one simple order actually shipped out so I'm probably going to get all bad reviews for my first few reviews now.
Yikes! Start routing them through Printify manually ASAP! That’s what I’ve been doing with all my remaining Printful orders.
Do you still have your Etsy shop? I would love to see it.
What do you think about Printify Socks (Tribe Socks) and canvas (Circle Digital)?
There is another pod which is supposed to be a bit more expensive but better....? Does that ring a bell with you? I want to do my own brand & label & not have a Gilden label.....
Hi Brittany ,, I guess you sell the most in US but for European the shipping costs are much cheaper with Printful rather than Printify. A T-Shirt fullfilled in US and sent to Europe is around 7-11$ for international. With Printful is 3,69 euros. For example I was checking the Face Mask on Printify. They charge 11$ to ship to Europe, which is crazy.
Yes! Makes much more sense to go with Printful in that case, I would too :)
This was SSOOOO helpful!! Thank you!
Thank you for watching!💕💕✨
Awesome video, but why Etsy doesn't publish my designs, just keep it in my shop and don't appear in there search engine ,so what is the reason...
Thank youuuuuuu! you just described my new entrepreneur life pahaha
Go girl!!!!🥳🥳🥳
Wow! I have the same desk as you! You have great taste. 😂
Great minds buy similar desks!!😂😂🤩🤪
Unfortunately, Printify isn't NOT up to date with their plugins. I use WooCommerce and their plugin won't work. I've been struggling to get Printify to even HELP me to even get them to integrate with my site, which I can't because they're WooCommerce plugin hasn't been update.
At some point I realized you sound like Lisa Kudrow. Haha your voices are very similar!!! Your voice is a bit deeper though but I can’t unhear it! Haha
What would you say to the varing Print Quality on Printful i did some printful stuff and cracked pretty quickly
Good comparison, you didn’t mention anything about the labels though. It seems that’s another reason why most choose Printify. There’s not too many options for labels.
Yes! Definitely an important difference to some sellers!
@@BrittanyLewisBEAWOLFBIZ Thank You!
I signed up for Printify. They are asking for my url. Do you know what that means?
url is your store website... the “... you find at the top of your home page when you’re in your store page
Very helpful, thank you Brittany!
Thanks so much for watching!
Needed this. Great information.
Thanks for sharing your experiences as it is very helpful.
You’re so welcome! Make sure to join my fb group for more interaction and announcements!
I like your video. Keep up the great work.
Thanks so much for watching!
thank you brittany!
Did you even read why the turnaround for Printful was so long in the summer of 2020?
Read what? Covid created nightmarish turnaround times for lots of print on demand companies.
Can you help me? My Etsy account was deactivated after I integrated Printify. I don't know why. I haven't posted any products except the first when creating the store.
Have you heard of customcat? It is cheaper than both Printify and Printful. But not sure about the quality
Yes! It’s got pretty low quality reviews, yes. But probably worth testing out someday!
@@BrittanyLewisBEAWOLFBIZ I see... Thank you
love your clarity! you focus mostly on t shirts and I read in the comments someone bought a mug and received it quickly, how do you feel about standard art prints and posters? I already have an account with printful and after watching comparison videos people say they are better for print quality, but now am worried about the delays everyone is talking about!
I use tshirts as a main focus cause it’s an easy example. You can make anything with print on demand work with the right strategy (Blank To Bank ;)
The delays have gotten much better! Still not perfect, but not something to majorly worry about.
can you order samples through printify? I'm looking to start selling through them but I want to see it first
Why is not required set the Production partners for each item on my listing on Etsy when my Print On Demand is Printify?
It is required :) any time your listing is print on demand, you’re required to list who the provider is on the listing.
@@BrittanyLewisBEAWOLFBIZ but when i watch video on TH-cam about how to connect Printify with Etsy anybody set Production Partner and sell on Etsy without any problems. What do you think?
Great video, very helpful! :)
What is the ink like for either of them? I'm trying to find a company where the ink blends in to the fabric so you can't feel it.
That sounds like sublimation. DTG print has a feel.
Question: when you say that Printify offers a 20% discount with their monthly fee, Is that 20% off already taken off or do they take the 20% off when you place the order?
It’s already taken off!
I always say basics are best! I’ve always sold nothing but gildan 5000s for tees. My customers love them! Start as simple as possible🥳
@@BrittanyLewisBEAWOLFBIZ Thanks, Brittany!
Printful is back to under 7 days and typically Printify is shipping in 2-5 days :)
thanks for your help!
Thank your for this information! Love and Light!
You’re so welcome! 💕💕 This is the first in a series of seven POD vids! Stay tuned for more this week.
I used printful last year on my shop , this year they are taking for ever. Im going to migrate to printify
They’ve shortened turnaround times recently but honestly Printify really is better imo.
On Etsy store below seller where it says meet seller. Is it possible to rephrase or change the line that says you created this with the help of print on demand ? Will this turn customers away when they read it ? Is there a point to hide this information ?
No, I wouldn’t worry about this at all! You want to be as transparent as possible and it certainly does not turn customers off.
Oh, absolutely thru Printify!
This is so helpful and clear. Thank you for your work. xx
Awesome video! Do you get samples of the shirts before you sell them or just trust the company?
If I’m just starting with them I’ll get a sample or two.. but I’ve ordered many over the years for shoots and stuff so I know how all colors will turn out. I know a lot of people who never order samples tho.. if something’s off.. your customers will be sure to let you know! Then you can adjust accordingly.
Regarding POD, i'm just trying Redbubble (just since last month), i'm a beginner, this is my first video i watch about Printify, i don't quite understand, i mean..is this not like Redbubble? Do i have to have a shop first before starting Printify?...hope you'll make it clear to me. 🙏🏻
Yes, Printify hooks up to other e-commerce marketplaces or websites. It is not a marketplace in and of itself like redbubble💫
@@BrittanyLewisBEAWOLFBIZ Thank you 👍
this was very helpful!!!
This is awesome! Thank you!
You’re so welcome! More to come this week!
@@BrittanyLewisBEAWOLFBIZ How long to wait for shipping, printify products?
It depends but it’s at about 2-6 days right now :)
What about branding? Do you have ur own brand name tag on the T-shirt?
Some pod providers all you too but it can be costly.
Hi Brittany..this was very informative.. I have my own designs too..do I need copyright them before uploading?
I wouldn’t recommend it!
Thinking about to build my own store, can you give me an idea what is a good apps to sell? Thanks for the video it's really helpful
You’re so welcome! What do you mean by apps?
Thanks for the info queen! One question, if you use a gildan tshirt will the tshirt's label say Gildan as well? Or can you put a personal label? Thankssss
I believe with printful they give you the option to print your own tags, but I don’t think Printify does that.
@@BrittanyLewisBEAWOLFBIZ : Thank you Brittany. Once again I appreciate you taking the time to help an ole guy like me :-)
Hello, Do I need an online store to publish my designs or not?!. Thank u 🙏
Hi! I’m not sure what you mean? Printify is not a marketplace, just a place to create the products - so you will need your own shop to sell the items through.

No reason not to! Thanks for watching!
Do you have a referral link that we could use? Love your videos! :)
Yes, it’s linked in the description❤️
Do you only sell to the US? How do you go about doing worldwide shipping with Printify because you have to pick a single supplier?
The supplier locations only mean where the warehouse is, but they ship worldwide💕
Yes, it depends on what matters to you, I suppose! I haven’t had any issues at all and I’ve always sold worldwide.
@@BrittanyLewisBEAWOLFBIZ Oh nice. Are all your suppliers from Printify US-based?
Yup :)
Brittany Lewis what printer company do you use? I’m between swift pod and monster digital
@@BrittanyLewisBEAWOLFBIZ Do you find that the shipping times on Printify are getting longer lately? I test ordered a shirt on the 5th of this month and it was supposed to arrive on the 15th. It still hasn't arrived.
Hello, I have my own designs, do I have to copyright them before start selling them? And can you please make videos about social media ads? Thanks!!
No, you absolutely don’t. And I don’t recommend social media ads for print on demand.
Hello. If you don't recommend social media ads what kind of advertising do you recommend?
And also, I love your honesty in this video. You arent like omg you can get rich in 3 days like most of these stupid videos on youtube. So again, thank you, I appreciate this!

Thanks so much for watching!!
Not at all.
How do you add tags for listing when you use printify
Everything is still fully editable in the listing on Etsy once published from Printify!
