It would be incredible if you try to use kotr during the last boss fight and sephiroth banishes them one by one as they attack. Would be an incredible memorable moment.
I think it’d be cool if, KotR island conspired you you have to explore and fight each individual Knight as a mini-boss before you are “worthy.” Similar to Ultimecia’s Castle in FFVIII 🙂
Ya had a similar idea. Find each knight hidden somewhere on the map, then have to fight them individually. Each win adds a knight to the summons. A grand quest to collect all the knights, would be so awesome.
@L0n3W0lfBl4ck that’s totally doable too. God of War Ragnarok had a very similar idea with their Berserker enemies that were scattered throughout the realms. Beating all 12 granted you some cool rewards.
Look to Visions of Mana to get an idea of how world exploration and platforming could work in Part 3. The combat is also so similar to Rebirth that it feels like they must’ve reused code for both games. The X button doesn’t need to be dedicated to tactical mode, it can be the jump button both in and out of combat.
You could use X button for jump while have the right side of the touchpad for the command menu. Having a jump button makes an improvement for combat too.
I can see Knights of the Round being integral to the story for part 3. The devs could twist it in a way that KOTR were Cetras and would perhaps give info to Cloud and the party regarding Jenova or what have you, kinda like how the devs gave lore to Gi Nattak and his tribe.
Agree on DGs. Don't care about having a jump button. Would love more secret stuff on the map. Disagreee on summons. I like how ther are. If anything I think we should be able to unleash its Final Attack at will (before timer runs out), with 0 ATB cost. Gives more freedom. Agree on Enemy Skill hunting mini game. Disagree on minigames. They're awesome, especially Queens Blood. ------------------------ I'd add more cosmetic and clothes as side stuff to collect. I'd add day/night cycle and/or different weather on open world (and add exclusive stuff to do/monster to fight accordingly). I'd add boss rush mode. I'd add some kind of in game wikipedia NPC (think of Harpocrates in FF XVI) Chocobo breeding has to be deep, hard, even harder than OG. Safer Sephiroth has to be HARD, even on normal mode.
QB will hopefully get a magic system to enhance strategies. Think like fort condor’s magic in intermission. Either as enhancement cards (in the form of materia) or spell cards. Or maybe not cards at all and just limited use bonuses
I really want lucky 7s back for the new game mechanic, also the ability to select weapon skins like in ff16 and ofc more costumes for the party like the Loveless play, Advent Children, or OG costumes.
I do love Knights of the Round as a visual spectacle. It was so much fun in OG FFVII. But my favorite summon was Hades. His functionality was so useful and his design was really cool. I am really interested in how the design is going to look in the finale. But I do believe the summons should go back to the one and done style of the original. I loved using a summon on a ground squirrel just for the overkill fun.
There was contextual jumping in the original FFVII, too. And it looked janky at times (but that was part of the game's appeal.) Much like the static JPO backgrounds in Remake, I wonder if that was done intentionally by the developers.
Removing the power ceiling will be interesting. Each part kind of limits you from being too OP. I wonder if we'll actually get to make new materia by mastering them.
A lot of this sounds amazing but I would keep expectations in check. I don’t see them taking ideas from fan mods like new threat. I also am very skeptical that they will be able to add in a fully explorable ocean and air battle system. If they did it would literally be the best game of all time tho.
I wouldn't get my hopes too high. Square is in a pretty rough spot atm, so it would be smart to expect some cuts on the budget and development costs. I'm not suggesting game will be bad, 8m suggesting all these features that people are fantasising about most likely aren't coming.
You 1000% don't have to do the Queen's Blood tutorial. I know because I decided to skip it because I had no intention of playing QB and then I ended up learning how to play so I could win the ship tourney.
If summons would attack at a higher frequency then they would be more worth it but a lot of times I summoned as a trump card only to have the character that summoned them die
You’re smoking heavy on that fanboy pack if you think they can come close to underwater quality areas on Horizon’s level using UE 4 without massive graphical quality and performance downgrades. The only chance of meeting those high fanboy expectations is switching to UE5
I don’t think it’ll be close in terms of visuals since the Decima engine is incredibly powerful, I’m talking about overall design and exploration ideas.

With a supernova
A moment like that would rival Seifer cutting Odin in half in FFVIII
@greghaggerty9996 my brother that is exactly what I thought

With most of your abilities locked at the start, and you unlock them one by one as you go through the dungeon. Cool idea!

Knights of the Round materia? No no no, imagine the Knights of the Round boss fight
Need both.
I also don't have issues with the summon system. I like it.

Make Knights of the Round take three ATB to summon.

The 3d brawler game is easy once you realize they change the controls for each fight. They don't tell you the controls can change for each fight.

I just want all the summons in one game that would be cool and maybe master summon materia😃
What I want is Gilgamesh jumping inside “The Ultimate End” and start fighting all of the knights to get the real Excalibur from King Arthur.
CC, I just wanna say you’re an awesome dude. Thanks for your content.
Thank you 🙏🏽
you do have to do some minigames in costa del sol

Great ideas! Thank you.
Part 3 will definitely feel a combination of elden ring and forbidden west.
Which did you like better HZD or HFW?
I loved both but I enjoyed Forbidden West more. It made great gameplay upgrades from ZD and overall quality of life improvements.
@@CuriousCorduroy Thats cool just curious
