The yuancon con actually use a usb arcade encoder that is modded so you don't need to run Joy2Key. And the reason why the light is dim because the turntable encode takes up alot of voltage to the board itself. I would recommend it.
Dawnsday not at all, the original video had a comparison to dao, which yes, is FULL of fingerprints. but because this is metal with a coated finish, there's no fingerprints. except the turntable is acrylic so that gets fingerprints

But you can configure the arcade turntable to be tighter or looser (but this the arcade manager's decision), so the same goes for yuancon. I heard it's hard to make Yuancon's turntable more right but I've not tried it myself. I like loose turntables

The non-symmetrical buttons are part of the home-arcade experience, when you get used to it using some handstyles popularized by good players (the-japari.tumblr.com/post/166800372290/on-playstyles as nicely shown on this page for both player1 and player2 side) it's actually far more fun to play than with keyboard!
IIDX infinitas is the official PC version but its kinda trash. Lunatic Rave 2 is a simulator that you can play on PC too. The best experience is the arcade but good luck finding a machine if you don't live in japan
I have a Sound Voltex cab but rarely plays it anymore since it was made with budget material, if I want to play then I will just play at the nearest arcade center. I always want to get good at 2dx but somehow I keep getting good instead of great

TommyA 08 depends on which one is cheaper for you. Most of the time, yuancon is cheaper unless you live at Estonia or Saudi Arabia
