Love that AlterBridge went and done another proggy epic journey track with this one! Several different movement sections to the song that help illustrate the narrator’s life journey as he tells his story to another less experienced person (I like ur analogy of a parent or grandparent talking to a child) about some of life’s perils and hopefully how to avoid them. I think the main message is don’t waste your life fearing what others think or of failure etc… to the point that you are paralyzed from taking action in doing what you really want to try and move forward… Open to interpretation of course, but that’s another reason to love AlterBridge! Great band!

I've seen Alter Bridge 9-10 times since their first album. Only tour missed was the COVID cancelled tour in 2020. Saw them 3 times this tour but they didn't play Fable of the Silent Son until the 3rd leg of the tour. Very complex song to rehearse and prepare. Man did they not disappoint (they actually never do). Pure fire live.
