ooh love to find another booktuber who gets books from the library + has similar book tastes! i've been meaning to read 'the office of historical corrections'. i find brandon taylor's writing too plotless and it doesn't gel with my reading style! I have read Italo Calvino's Invisible Cities and I didn't love it (found it a bit repetative) but I think the comment about the folktale style is very apt. His writing i feel is also like magical realism. I got the "belly drop" feeling reading _The Italy Letters_ by Vi Khi Nao recently and _In the Dream House_ by Carmen Maria Machado.

I really liked "Invisible Cities" by Calvino, I will have to check out "Difficult Loves"! He definitely knows how to make the mundane feel special and imbued with that magical quality! His "Cosmicomics" is so surreal, I loved it. Thanks for sharing!

i didn't realize Anton had put out a book on translation in korean! might have to pick it up! i recently read his debut novel Toward Eternity which also has incredible touchpoints on translation. would highly rec :)
and so happy to have found your channel! you just reminded me of my upcoming reread of Mrs. Dalloway and soon The Hours. always love seeing the trajectory's of an artist's work so might have to pick up Jacob's Room after my reread.
Boulder is wonderful! heart-wrenching, beautiful prose. i hope you enjoy it ^^
