By Ish's way of thinking almost every fan of rap, since it's known in different countries, knows what every rapper is talking about. People that like Jay, pusha t, jeezy etc knows everything about drug talk? They understand what future and young thug are saying in every song? So, to me, it's all about preference, and ish admitted to as much at the end of the video. Because had he been interested in anything, kendrick, he wouldn't have this stance. Heck, ish is the only one in that group who didn't bop to not like us, and that's a bop with surface level bars. So this isn't about understanding a line or two as much as it is a matter of preference. After all, 90% of the top lyricists have and still use words and terms that go over most people's heads, but those interested are those already invested, and thus look up, learn, appreciate and most importantly value the penmanship.
