She Said She Said - DreamingWalrus (The Beatles Band Cover)

this week has been all about Revolver, I listened to it over and over again, i admit I had never noticed before the organ doing the same guitar line in the bridge. I recorded the vocals maybe six times, i still am not satisfied. i recorded it again this morning but i don't i have the video of the take that ended up in the final mix.
I always thought it was George on bass, but after listening to (Take 15) we know it's Paul.

This is perhaps the best cover version I've heard. You're vocals are fine, I mean, really, how is a female supposed to sound covering a male vocal, so those comments were mean!! You covered the original guitar tracks awesomely, and brought out Lennon's rhythm guitar!! If you listen to the 2022 remaster, George rushes a note at 1:05, and I'm sure it bothered him and John, since the guitar tracks were mixed together, so to compensate for this, they mixed George's track lower on the original mono version, and also subsequent versions. That sure beats scrapping 6 hours of work. I must have listened to this song 200 times over the last 3 weeks because I'm thinking about doing a version of my own!! Once again, great job with this and all your other covers!!!!

I don't think Paul plays bass on this song. In fact, I don't think he was in the recording. George plays bass, and he helped John put the song together.

Not so much George helped with the song; well maybe the sequencing of the song. All parts are demoed in full by John, long before the recording as can be heard on many official and bootleg recordings. Yes, he played the bass.

Lennon began working on "She Said She Said" in March 1966,[32] shortly before the Beatles started recording Revolver. On the home recordings he made at this time, the song was titled "He Said" and performed on acoustic guitar.[33] Lennon said that the episode with Fonda had stuck with him, and when writing the song, "I changed it to 'she' instead of 'he.'"[34] Harrison recalled helping Lennon construct the song from "maybe three" separate segments that Lennon had. Harrison described the process as "a real weld".[35][nb 4] In his 2017 book Who Wrote the Beatle Songs?, author Todd Compton credits Lennon and Harrison as the song's true composers.[36]
