Dear Shereene, I love your channel so much! My mum died from Melanoma and I am *evangelical* about sun protection. Thank you for such a great description of sunscreens. Use them people!
AWESOME video. I still see grown women, older women talking about sitting out in the sun to get their summer glow. I just don’t understand it! Hard head because they think they are invincible and will not get skin cancer.
My favorite sunscreen is by Make Prem. They make both physical and chemical sunscreen and I love them both! They don't make me break out or look shiny. Highly recommend! Thanks Shereene for making this video!
Thank you for the time you take to educate people. It’s simple for everybody to understand. I feel know very confident that I’m doing the right thing for my and my kids skin. Merci encore.
Wow! Thanks for the demonstration, it was really helpful. I do use SPF daily but have always heard people say the powder form isn’t useful at all. Please share any powder recommendations I think it would perfect on top of makeup/for reapplying.
i dont usually comment on youtube, but I have to on this video bc of your useful information, especially the experiment at the end of the video. Love it! this is the first time I see how sunscreen works under UV lights. Thanks alot and looking forwards your new videos.
Can you discuss the efficacy of “setting spray” sunscreens? I’m skeptical of them given they are all chemical - and if you are spritzing them on top of your makeup later in the day, how will it absorb adequately? I may be missing something so wanted to ask. Thank you!
That is a very good observation and point. I was JUST looking at the facial spray spf yesterday to reapply throughout day. I have not seen one personally made from physical sunscreen prob because of the white ?? However seems like it wouldn’t be worth it to use over makeup. Also, did anyone know what she meant by the cream example ? Aren’t all the sunscreens that aren’t in spray form or powder considered cream ? I didn’t understand that at all lol.

I’m pulling videos of yours to send to my friends and watching now. I’m 33 and I have a basal cell carcinoma on my forehead. I am pale and never tanned growing up and I’ve been so careful with sunscreens in my adulthood. I can only assume it’s the sunburns as a kid 😣
Can you explain how to properly remove mineral sunscreen off your skin, especially off your face at night? Is using micellar water and then a gentle cleanser enough? Thanks
What are the suncare guidelines for those of us with medium dark tones or deeper? It’s a struggle to stay on top of reapplication when you were convinced that spf was not necessary for more melanated skin & coming from a community untouched by skin cancer
Shereene! I’m so happy I found your fun and clear channel. Just wish you lived in Paris! 😆thanks for the tips, you just made me read the ingredients on all my sunscreens and playing with black light.... 😄
Hello! First of all I'm very happy that I have discovered your channel, just about 2 months ago and I watch all the videos u have made for the past year, I need to catch up , I know!!! My burning question is, Spf is a must, that's clear, but how in this world we can possibly reapply it every 2 hours??? Also, supposingly it's not exactly a skincare, or doesn't do ur skin good per se, as of skincare, many suggest to wash off spf from the face once u r home and not oing to go out anymore. It's like after 2h I have to wash my face so that spf doesn't damage my skin, I have to spend all day basically tending to my face??? I have one life.... , I mean, I can put an spf in the morning, and max to powder it during the day like twice....for the rest....uff. I need a reassurance on that, help. Tell me smth encouraging pls, because that's close to nonsense if we have to reapply spf every 2h. I talk about regular daily life, not when u r at the sun, or by the sea.
My daughter is obsessed with you, and shared with me. You have a absolute new subscriber. Is there a different method for mature skin, or does the layer video is good for us as well?? I’m rapidly approaching 60. I’m sure I have sun screen damage from sun bathing in my youth, I have not done that in forever now, I’m pasty white living in Florida!! My skin routine has been wrong for so many years, after watching your video I am now heading towards my products to see what I have and use them properly. If in fact this is good for mature skin. Please please advise. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos love them. Blessings and stay safe.
So happy I found your channel! Can't wait to go along your vlogging journey. Can you please talk about freckles and discuss about what is removable and what's not doable? I have freckles only on one side of my face and I've tried to get them laser out but it was not effective. i also want to know if we can use body sunscreen on our face?
I started watching your videos cause we’re both originally lebanese and we share the same family name 😜 anyways i love them! Could you maybe do some advice on routines for 20-25 year olds?? i always take extra care of my skin and my mom thinks i am obsessed! #LoveFromAustria!
Hello, amazing information and content like the usual. Truly enjoyed the 'show and tell' at the end... I would like to know what you would recommend for people with freckles, since we are a bit more prone to developoing skin cancers? Any special recommendations? Thank you truly if you decide to cover this topic some time in the future!
Thanks for your videos. I started to use sunsreen on my face. However if I sweat it goes down to my eyes and burns them pretty bad. I use cetaphil spf 30 oil control moisturizer. Hope you make some video on sunscreen brands as it is hard to find a good one.

Yes! This is all me as well
Just for anyone who is sensitive to flashing lights: at 3:26 there is a graphic that flashes for about 15 seconds :)
This is the first skincare video I’ve seen which actually shows people how different sun screens protect skin from UV lights! Thanks Dr!!!

You should not use retinol before 25 except if you already have obvious signs of aging.
Start slow and work your way up in percentages!
