This game genuinely looks like it was meant for next gen all along when you play it in 4K on Series X. I couldn't even imagine only having 30fps at 1080p. I never played it on the regular Xbox One. I just got it because it was supposedly one of the games that really demonstrated the Series X power, and people were definitely right.

@@josemanuel5749 Gotta remember the Series S runs One S versions of games and then gets lower quality optimizations through Smart Delivery compared to Series X. All in all, Series S still delivers the markedly better experience over Xbox One/One S while Series X does the same over all. Thank you for the video. I enjoyed watching them comparing PC and Consoles. I must say for all honesty the next gen Xbox has improved greatly, rivaling (being as powerful as) a high end PC. In the past, most people could not afford a high end PC gaming rig, so they go for consoles to get the best (with slight limitations) gameplay experience as possible. But Microsoft has improved its Xbox consoles, thats a good thing. Now onto the video above, I just watched this on 4K monitor comparing the PC and Xbox platforms. Gears 5s graphics shown Xbox Series X and the PC looks very identical. Though the textures, details look slightly sharper and the draw distances look slightly clearer on the PC version. I dont know if it is because the resolution on PC is slightly higher than Xbox Series X which uses a Dynamic resolution. Yes, Digital Foundry stated that some graphical or visuals settings the XBSX uses does surpass the PCs 'ultra' settings (some options are set to 'insane' on XBSX according to Digital Foundry.) But I'm just not sure though if it is the resolutions shown on both platforms. Of course, the developers can decide to push the games resolution higher on XBSX but it doesnt come without a cost. Higher resolution, lower framerate? Higher framerate, lower quality maybe? I dont know. Multiplayer ran at 120 FPS at 4K (with Dynamic resolution), thats good though. But I'm quite skeptical, at what cost? Excuse my English. :)
XsX has better settings than PC because of the inclusion of SSGI, contact shadows, +50% particles, new details, new bump maps, new volumetric effects..............of course, those improvements will come to PC. @@noctisofrivia8778 I understand that, and it's great that it's a free update. I look forward to playing more Gears 5. This is all stuff I've noticed in general with the next gen. The next gen games all look like current gen ones, but now there's more mirrors, the framerates are on average a bit higher and the resolution's a bit higher. Lower load times is of course a big one, but even that's just a QoL improvement. I don't deny it won't be transformative, it just feels like everyone's running out of stuff to improve upon. We used to have no load times in the cartridge days, so it's not like it's something that's never been seen before. This gen introduces a new problem with limited storage. Moving stuff to and from USB to play is an inconvenience that the previous gens don't have. I'm sure it'll be overcome eventually, but when it does, it won't be anything that's never been seen before
Why is the series s running at the same resolution as the one x at the same frame rate. Sometimes the one x even runs higher. The one x doesn't seem to dip below 57ish and that's only at times. While the series s drops a frame or 2 here and there as well. Is the series s not capable of a little better resolution than the one x?
It probably could, but the whole point of the series s is a budget console designed for 1440p output. Why go higher than the system itself’s target resolution?
Digital foundary said the one x version goes upto 2160p and usually bottoms out at 1440p. Why does the comparison lie and say it only goes to 1800p? 7:00 mark of their Xbox One X review video if anyone is interested.

So what is the problem i mean on my ps5 that doesnt happen ? Maybe 120hz is too much for the s ??? Or hdr10 ?? Or maybe i need other settings for the s ???
Just look at Series S performance. It is supposed to be a next-gen machine with 1080-1440p resolution. What we've seen on all of these videos on that channel is just an Xbox One (Classis or S version) with SSD. I watched it on my 1080p screen and the games look blurry especially in comparison to Series X and even One X. Watch Dogs Legion - less than 900p, Gears 5 - no reflections at all(2:25), AC Valhalla - 30fps. What the Fuck?! It should cost $200, no doubt.
Lol, in this game series s is basically at the same spec of One X, with faster loading times, stable framerate and 120fps mode, Watch Dogs Legion for example runs at "900p" but it has raytracing, thing that One X can't do, AC Valhalla has better graphics than One X but at a little lower res, and has 60fps mode now, take it as a machine equal to One x but at a lower resolution but better graphics and framerate

It's gonna be interesting to see what Gears 6 is like since they will most likely be using Unreal Engine 5 which has had issues on these consoles. However, The Coalition seem to be wizards with it, arguably the best in the business, so I'm curious to see what they come up with.
I'm still amazed by the ONE X
I prefer it over the Series S any day. Having a Series X and a 3080, I will never have to consider it, but if I didn't have them, I wouldn't buy a Series S and would just stick with my One X.
I don't see any differents in graphics between ss an sx apart from reflexiona
All they are amazing but pc is the best, I have finished the game on a PG27UQ monitor and is brutal.
Yeah pc it's always going to have the edge but there's a very expensive price to pay. This time I got the series X an actually I'm enjoying it very much and for a fraction of what a gaming pc cost. I'm playing horizon 4 and gears 5 an they really look like high end pc games with setting to max an I'm amazed on how well optimized this games are. Just feel like playing them for the first time.
Why is this video only 720p?
PC Version has Raytracing? Since when?
@Henrique Forte aaaaa is true. In that case he is completely right, perhaps the s-series is only slightly more stable than fps
@@dallagnesekevin no muchos.

In most of those shots it looks like the Xbox One X is better than the Xbox Series S. However, the Xbox Series X is a noticeable improvement compared to the prior generation... Mostly due to the Ray Tracing. But, it is a major improvement, and it's much closer to what you'll find on PC which is pretty impressive.

en Xbox One X corre a 4K y 60 FPS.
Series x is close to pc holy shit
Very close indeed.
Uses the same PC Ultra textures but for games with ray tracing such as watch dogs legion it's much worse than PC.
@@spicynachos2762 It's still an early console game, who knows in a couple of years though.
No its not. Not even close. It can't compete against a 2080ti and def cannot come close to a 3090.

Y corre a 1080p dinámicos a 30fps.

This by far most informative video on comparison I liked but could mention what is the resolution using @4:42
We're at the point where you need side by side comparisons to tell what the next gen version is
Do you realize...?
-This is an old gen game.
-It was made in 2017-2018 and released in 2019.
-It's not a remake, not a remaster, just a free update.
I'm sure it'll be overcome eventually, but when it does, it won't be anything that's never been seen before
You're blind
@@alanbrito3805 Yeah I agree that's cap lmao ! Plus if you had the systems running in front of you the differences would be even more noticeable !
Por que no está a 4k?
Does Gears 5 works on Series S just offline? After istalling I want to use games for No internet. How about AC Valhalla and WD Legion?
This video convinced me the Xbox series s compromises too much. I can sorta stomach the low storage, but the graphics are too low.
Not optimize for series s
The Graphics are the same of xbox One X with a better ligthing but with a lower resolution 1440p vs 1800p
Series S isn't supposed to have Ray Tracing too ?
Can't tell the difference between the Series S and the One X...
The series s has a 120 fps mode and has higher graphic settings just lower resolution
@@christopher.costner Don't think so, dude. According to my sight, graphically talking, One X has better texture (Just a bit), Series S is way faster in loading times and... Performance it keeps better its 60fps than One X.
@@mabbpillo8204 the multiplayer has a confirmed 120 fps mode on series s tho there's gameplay of it the one x struggles to hold 60 while the series s holds it without one drop in fps and the game loads 4 times faster

I can. I would not get the series s over my X Box One. Now I'm thinking that I won't get the Xbox series X over my 2060 super.
The difference in reflection between xbsx and xbss is big. It is not just less resolutions only but less quality as well.
Stunning work
Backwardcompability enhancement is a bonus,. But we buy new next gen consoles to see huge graphical Leap. I mean like GTA SAN Andreas to GTA 4, not just bump resolution.
And that is not happen on Xbox series X, since they didnt have games that utilize power of xsx. For now XsX is only become enhancement machine to play crossgen games with better setting. Very sad.
que pc usastes?
8:30 i see that PC doesn't have parallax mapping, maybe you did not download the ultra texture pack or the PC version doesn't have it yet.
It is worrying me that there is no Ray Tracing on Series S, so I decided to postpone Series S purchase. Which is sad. Does anyone know why there is no 1080p ray tracing implemented on series s? I mean even in Legion there is.
This does have RT. RT shadows and lighting but not RT reflections because that uses a lot of power. The series x has limited RT reflections
No sé 😅😅

obvio que series x como preguntas esoo
Deberías especificar los componentes del PC / you must specify the PC components
PC specs?
No PC in the FPS comparisons?? I was waiting to see it! LOL
thats cos pc is king
On PC framerate depends on the hardware and optimization unlike consoles
Series S is incredible. Lacks only reflections and a bit of draw distance but this one is less noticeable.
I hope anyone can answer this if someone read it, so my problem is i have the Lg oled CX and if i play Gears 5 or even Viva Pinata on my Series S then i play the game like normal without problem but after a time if i play too fast or something like that the screen goes of or goes black and sometimes white ????
So what is the problem i mean on my ps5 that doesnt happen ? Maybe 120hz is too much for the s ??? Or hdr10 ?? Or maybe i need other settings for the s ???
what’s the rez on the series s for 120hz mode?
You didn't even put which gpu or cpu was used....
reflections and light/shaders will eventually all be done in game, no need for raytracing cards.
???

The PC version looks and plays much better than on any Xbox. 1800p isn't 4K and PC is the only place you get real 4K gaming.
PC still takes the cake always will
Well of course, consoles are still nice though :3
I've done my own personal tests along with looking at this video, it's like PC with highest specs is Ultra, and Series X gets a very respectable high settings look. very hard to tell the difference unless side by side comparison honestly, on my 55" 4k OLED, the series X looks amazing, but has more to do with HDR10/Dolby Atmos and awesome blacks/contrast/brightness of that tv.
I don’t think thats footage from the xbox one x because the game outputs in 4K. The series S doesn’t even do 4k. They have to be mixed up because the one x has reflections and looks so much better than whats on here if you actually play it.
ONE X is very good !!! impressive
