I agree...100%Master of side cuts. We hired a so called tile layer for our house. We had to fire him & he left with our$. Tiles on the floor toes busted, edges look a mess in one bedroom & kitchen.

You know when someone is a good installer when they never use a measuring tape to make cuts. I love installing glue down lvp in a herringbone, it's lots of fun. I'm a commercial flooring installer myself. Good work, man.
Genuine question but whats wrong with using measuring tape? Im no expert at all but they way he cuts them only works in perfect paralel walled room no?
@@Spacidius nothing wrong with using a tape. It's just much faster and cleaner scribing it. He is just marking his long point on the board and cutting his angle. You can use this method on very out of square rooms and it works great. On your first cut piece, you can lay a temporary piece in place then overlap it with another piece horizontally tight against the wall then draw or cut your line. Then you have a pattern piece. Hard to explain without drawing a diagram or showing in person. There's probably a video that explains how to scribe lvp, I'll look it up and share a link with you if I find it.
While he does exceptional work, the cutting of angles are much easier than most think. The utilization of every piece of material is the impressive part to me and I have been doing commercial glue down for 20+ years! I would hire this guy on the spot!

Would take me days to do the corners alone. Guy just does it automagically. Granted the video might be sped up but still I would have to think about each corner plank each time. Guys a true expert.
Starting point of fixing those plates is an unexplained trick. I can sense some tedious maths calculation that must have gone into it. Well done mate!!!
@@mikeb1511 if you observe closely, he did not start from center. It's somewhere near the door. If you follow along, you will notice that the start point is chosen so wisely, that very less material is wasted and the angle is still maintained. I also liked the way he just puts the new one above the previous one shifted little upward, the gap exactly matching with the width of other strip. So much fluency in this perfect upward shift adjustment!!

This person makes it look so easy.. I wouldn't be able to make such clean and precise cuts, if I used a proper scale and pencil.. practice indeed makes one perfect ❤️
you will, all you need to know is that everything is in 45 deg. angle + using an metal shape for the cuts (that's how it is normally done but more time consuming).
He surely took the necessary steps before he pre-cut some front angles and then he transfered those angles. I still amazed that he did it by a show of hands

Very minimal waste indeed. I’m sure he’s only using factory edges to butt up against the other flooring. Some waste is inevitable

Nothing special here. I do this every day. But on a prepared surface. This floor is not properly flattened.

하나는 기존에 깐 타일에 겹쳐 올려놓고 나머지 하나는 모서리에 다 밀어넣은 다음 기존에 맞춰둔 부분하고 겹치는 부분을 잘라내는 방식으로 딱딱 맞추시네요 좋은거 배우고 갑니다 ㅎㅎ

You start from the center at a 45 degree angle. Nothing too hard. Chalk line and angle
