I have had the same some times shooting D-log. Mostly up on the edges, simulor to having a aps-c lens on a full frame camera 😅. I think the are working on the update right now for some other functions aswell. Vivid color profile or something like that 😊 But great job taking the time and send all the samples to Dji.
Thanks! I can't take all the credit. There are many others who have reported this issue to DJI before me. The firmware update containing the vivid color / neutral color profile options was not the firmware likely referenced in the previous comment from DJI, because the vignette just happened to me when shooting in Super Night Mode, 4K 30 FPS, Rocksteady, all auto settings.
Hi there, thank you so much for your videos talking about the vignette / flashlight issue! I have the Action 5 Pro as well and was wondering if I'm the only one and clearly I'm not.. On my camera the issue seems less severe though, but it's there. You say there have been reports from other users, where can I find them? The recent firmware upgrade hasn't fixed the issue...do you have any more information?
Hi there, we extend our deepest apologies for the inconvenience this has caused you. Our utmost priority is to resolve your issue as swiftly as possible. If, at any point during this process, you felt that your privacy was infringed upon, please know that we offer our sincere and heartfelt apologies. We're delighted to hear that the shifting vignette issue can be resolved through a firmware update. To express our gratitude for your active cooperation and steadfast support throughout this process, and to ensure we can offer even more tailored assistance going forward, would you mind sharing your current region with us? Thank you again for your understanding, and we look forward to fully resolving this matter for you.
@DJISupportGlobal I appreciate your careful attention to my videos and comments. This video was created after receiving DJI support as I have indicated on the video. A more tailored assistance would have been for representatives to be more forthcoming with why it was requested for me to send many examples, and releasing said firmware update. I recognize that it takes time to develop the firmware update, but there have been many DJI forum users who have previously reported the issue before me. Those users matter, too. Again, I appreciate your continued attention and in reaching out on both comments and email.

I bought a DJI Action 5 and reeturned it within a few days as it kept overheating and the image looks very digital not as natural like the Action 4! Don't listen to what the fake TH-camrs are saying - this camera overall (thus far) is a failiure! This is a lens/hardware problem - no DJI firmware is going to fix any of this - return this for a full refund and get the Action 4 - it works flawlessly!
Would you be able to share how you were able to consistently reproduce the overheating? What settings were you using while recording? Stabilization enabled?
@@bluetysproductions Hi again, I was shoooting at 4K 30 fps. Rocksteady+ enabled at double framerate for motion blur. Any recordings over 10 minutes caused overheating and that 'focus hunting' issue you are having is a known problem in the Action 5 - it is caused when you are focusing on any fast-moving objects suddenly from something that is less active, e.g. you're focusing on your child sitting still then he/she runs away - if you run after your child while filming and then, say, there's a dog that enters the frame, the Action 5 somehow will get confused and the tracking will go crazy. All this coupled with the poor camera image that looks like a poor man's iPhone, I suggest you return it for a full refund and get a Action 4 which is so much better and reliable which was what ended up getting. The Action 4 is work horse and will start every time and will do what it needs to without these issues and produces much nicer and naturally-looking footage. Good luck.
Interesting. I have been recording at 4K 60 FPS auto settings with EV -0.3 with Horizon Balancing, Standard Dewarp. I've been averaging about 6 minutes and haven't experienced overheating. I'll give that a look. Thanks!
@DungarooTV quick update. I’m still recording with the Action 5 Pro indoors, 62+ minutes. 4K 30FPS, 1/60 Shutter with wide ISO range, WB 4500 locked. Normal10bit with Vivid color tone, Image Adjustments both -1. I recorded with it on a tripod on the floor, with myself and dogs walking in FOV at various times. I also made sure that it was a fully charged battery from the get go. It does feel warm to the touch but not any different from my Pocket 3. PS. I was recording with my Pocket 3 pointed at the Action 5 Pro in case I didn’t catch it overheat, but it kept recording. I know my Pocket 3 will record for over an hour as long as I have both the main battery and extended battery charged. I kept Pocket 3 recording at an event while exchanging batteries intermittently and about a 1-hour break from 9am to 6pm.
Hey thanks for ur vid. Just got mine too action 5 pro. I haven’t try it yet 😢

Mine has this problem as well.
Sorry to hear this. Thank you for also confirming: The more examples we have in “the wild”, the better.
