  • After being away for 2 months for work, I decided to head out to the Bay of Quinte to hunt for some early summer walleye. If you've been following my content for a while, you'll know that I don't have a lot of experience when it comes to walleye fishing, but I'm determined to get better at it, and trolling on the Bay of Quinte for walleye seemed like a good way to cover lots of water and try to figure out where they are hiding!
It took me a long time, but I found some at the end of the day!

Do you have some tips for trolling walleye on the Bay of Quinte that might help me have more days like this? Leave me a comment and let me know!

Use proper bottom bouncer. Okay with your speeds till you find what they are hitting on

That's man! You don't always need to fanciest gear (even if it does make it easier at times..)

Well done dude! I'm happy you got onto them - it's almost impossible to leave the water when the fish start biting hahaha. Good video man!

Hello. So Im down here from N/W Ont , walleye heaven if you wish. Thinking about going to the Bay of Quinte to experience it's willies. Im thinking of Picton Bay. I looked/sounded the Bay on my navionics. Looks promising. What would you suggest and where would you launch from.

Yes, the water sure was low last summer, especially at Shermans Launch. Looked where you were fishing and might I suggest you get shallower and look for the weeds. Lighten up the weight to 3/8 - 1/2 oz and get into 8-12 feet and troll at 1.5mph. The blade size might be a bit large also, I use number 3 blades in orange and Chartreuse. Have you heard of the Uzick Spinner????

I was generally in about 12-16ft for this video going around 1.2-1.4. I'll try some #3 blades this summer though. I have never heard of the Uzick Spinner. what is it?

Hahaha thanks a lot! I'm still learning how to really dial in the trolling, but I'm getting there. I've really upgraded my trolling setups for this summer to help me get into more of that quinte gold!
