I don’t like how Abby Lee played favorites, but I can TOTALLY understand why she loved and cared so much about Maddie. She’s a star. Maddie doesn’t give us a dance, she gives us a whole performance. Maddie dances from the heart, with passion, and I can see that she loves what she is doing. Watching her makes me feel that this is super easy, but actually it’s not, it’s just the way she moves that makes me feel like that.

That little girl is a complete master of expression. Unbelievable how much talent is packed in that small frame. She is so captivating, it's hard to take your eyes off her, in all of these songs. Blown away, especially in the Chandelier video. Wow!

She has a lot of talent but this choreography would have been easy to learn. I was a dancer from a young age and we learn quickly and spend the rest of the time perfecting.

The two of them together are an absolutely amazing combination and I think it's really cute that Sia has taken such a liken to Maddie and keeps inviting her back for performances and videos. If I found someone who so truly represented myself I'd probably do the same, and I just think it's so beautiful to watch it unfold, as the two of them obviously have a great connection.

Maddie NAILED the acting! its not easy to do that type of improv
If u watched Dance Moms u'd know that it's always been her strong suit to act with face and body but she lacked technique. But screw technique when she can draw u in with her emotions it's pretty cool.
Exactly, it's not easy to improv like this especially when her whole lower body is tied down and she's so used to dancing. It's fantastic emotional expressions. She's going to be phenomenal and I can't wait to see her 5-10 years from now.

I was dazed upon writing my previous comment as thinking improv was the ability to a "well orchestrated acting with emotional performance". Don't ask me how I got side swiped with the true meaning of improv, but I wanted to clear myself to say that Maddie DEFINITELY knows what she's doing. Another amazing performance. Though I would LOVE to see Shia perform with Maddie and Sia live at the Grammy Awards. The official video of Elastic Heart moves me the most. It's powerful and feels like the story is best communicated. Though these live performances are incredible, nothing beats the music video thus far.

Everything put together is the vision of the artist (Sia). Her Masterpiece has many parts. While the dancer (Maddie) does an amazing job telling the story for Sia, its still Sia's Masterpiece and for that I believe Sia should take the credit but should definitely thank Maddie for helping bring her stories to life.
