  • In this video, I demonstrate how I make the plant food, or free organic home made fertiliser which I use on my garden here up on the hill.
It´s not about surviving...It´s about THRIVING.
This video is about HOME MADE FERTILISER, and I´ll show you how I make mine, and talk about why it is another important aspect of my veggie garden.
There are a few things I didn´t cover in this video about soil bacteria, so it´s important to watch the two videos below to learn more about soil bacteria.

Hello friends. NOTE! It is important that you strain the organic matter from this brew after it has been sitting for a couple of monts. You need to make sure no flies or maggots or any other type of animal get into your brew. That will be the start of the end. After you have strained the organic matter from the liquid, it is important to keep it dark and cool. Best to use it straight away and within the next moon or so. The longer you let it sit, the more acidic it can potentially become if it’s too hot. As time goes by, it gets to a point that it is potentially HARMFUL! It can turn rotten. It can turn acidic. It can turn alchohol. All of which are unbenificial! Best to save a glass bottle of the strained seven day old brew and put it in the fridge as your mother brew, and use the rest once or twice a month during the following months. Updated version video nr 6. Please watch. 😊

Within a few days of adding the brew, the compost is smelling like a forest floor after it rains.....which blows my mind because I'm in southern Arizona. Hello mate, thank you for uploading this film. I enjoyed watching it but don't want that to sound as a justification for what I am about to write. There's not much in life I appreciate right now but watching films made by people who are passionate about plants and organics reminds me of who I am or who I can be.
I have contended with varying depths of depression throughout my adult life mate. Am almost constant companion, since childhood, has been a passion for growing plants and making compost,- turning old shit which no one wants into something valuable and life giving. I struggled through my twenties, often not able to find the energy, themotivation to work with plants and make compost but when yoga started to work for me in my late twenties, I found a magic combination. Finding the right people to surround myself with, gardening and yoga has often allowed me to thrive since then.
Disaster struck almost a year ago. I won't bore you with the detail of events but I have lost the right people to surround myself with, have been able to practise very little yoga or work much with plants. I've struggled through but now life has become even more anxious, frightening for me. I took an overdose of opioid painkillers 10 days ago, a massive overdose. But I'm still here! I must change my attitude and keep fighting. I must keep reaching out to people who share my passions, let them know what is happening for me and trust that the Universe will provide me with who and what I need to start thriving again.
I would be deeply touched if you or anyone else reading this, who has any empathy for me in my plight, would consider sparing me a thought as I persevere and try and cultivate hope so that I may thrive again.
    Thank you,
    Michael

Always good to watch your videos. I can't imagine how long it takes but I'm willing to wait. A public television station should pick you up. For real. Much respects from Tacoma Washington.

You are spot on. I could not figure out what that toilet paper thing was about, it didn't make a whole lot of sense. Anyone could survive quite well without toilet paper, washing yourself is not that complicated. So, when you said in your video that you wondered what it would be like if there was no food in the stores. Exactly! I have been researching survival methods for two years, but like you said in one of your videos, it's nice to dream, but there's nothing like actually doing it. What really scares me, is what if there was no more food in the stores, people in the cities are very dependent and seemingly unaware that continuing to live like we do in the city will eventually destroy our ability to live on this planet. People just want to continue doing what they are doing, I find that really strange because if we don't stop, we will be stopped, lol.

I wish schools were just like this video. I have comfrey growing all over our property. Chickens for poo, & I’ve always got bananas that either end up in baking or past it. We gather seaweed when ever we go to the beach which is only a 30 minute drive away. I usually throw it all in one huge bucket & fill it with water (from the stream behind the house). But I’m going to try this method. Thank you 🥰

We love it. And to have neighbours with the same interest in gardening makes for lots of sharing of Kai (food), & information.
