- In this video I show you how to use a crop tool that can save your potential hero images that weren't quite framed correctly in the camera. I use Photoshop's content aware tool for great results with a few of my surf photos taken from the water. Let me know if you would like to see more editing tips from me in the future?

Really appreciate all your videos Tom, thanks so much for what you share with us all ❤
thanks so much for the feedback ... stoked they are helping
Im constantly amazed at the power of photoshop
Its pretty wild hey?? I reckon the biggest improvements have been inside Lightroom over the last 12 - 18 months, but yeah Photoshop is incredibly smart these days
Thanks for this tip, just dug into my archives and found suitable image to try this out and worked like a charm
That is so epic to hear!!!.. the examples I actually used for this video were shot many years ago when this tool did not exist, so yeah I reckon there will be a few old photos that could be "saved" thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it
@@dreamlifephotography yes I’m digging into the archives from over ten years ago and found a couple water shots to use this on with good success. Thanks for sharing bru
generative fill is amazing, its saved some wedding photos I did also. Im really glad you made this video Tom! I felt some sort of shame for doing this because I felt like it was artificial, but my theory is as long as it's not changing the wave drastically Im all for the AI tools. Glad to know even the pros do this
Of course I always aim to get it perfect in the camera so minimal work is required in post edit, but in certain situations you can do these slight improvements which help the composition and look of an image... not really adding to the image something new just finessing it.... glad that the generative fill tool has helped your work flow mate
Wow unbelievable!
Great example too! I have a few photos like that as well.
Yeah it pretty neat hey? definitely give it a go on your images and let me know how they go!
@@dreamlifephotography I don't know how to use PS well, only Lightroom.
@@danlightened Luckily Lightroom is best for nearly all of my photography editing, so its great you know how to use LR well, but start to play around in photoshop a bit and Im sure you will pick it up pretty quickly... it does have some good tools that can't be found in Lightroom
