This takes me back to my whole childhood when I used to live with my Grandparents in the country. Mt Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church sounded just like this. 80 or 90 different old people (several of them were my cousins) all singing off key........and there was nothing else on earth like it!!!!!!!!! I was raised in that exact church all my childhood. So was my Mama, Grandma, Great-Grandma (who we called Bigmama), and Great-Great-Grandma, all the way back to when our church was established 2 or 3 years after slavery ended. This takes me back several years! I love the church that go to now that I grew up and moved away from home after joining the Army but every now and then I miss this kind of church.

I grew up in a Baptist church back in Cincinnati , Ohio. The late Overseer Anderson Culbreth was my pastor for 20 yrs. He was very popular in my city because this is how we had church back in the day. Worship was pure and everybody sung these powerful hymns like we were preparing to meet Jesus. It was like that every service. Awesome time in my life to be around the old ways. I learned a lot from the annointed man of God. I've slowly started to fall away from church because alot of people are playing church these days. I'm loosing my interested in the "New Church." Times getting short my brothers and sisters....real short. Yahweh the Most High God is calling us back to Him. He's left us instructions through these old spiritual songs. We better get back to this honest expression of worship that our ancestors so graciously left us before the King of kings returns...
