I'm 15 & I'm a preacher & study philosophy, people say I have an old spirit too, I get shunned in school because I only wish to speak about Jesus but that's alright-its a blessing!!!
Kierahn Johnson: Yes, it's a blessing what you are doing. Don't worry about people shunning you because you are speaking about Jesus, one day they will run to you to hear about Him. May God continues to bless you abundantly!
Kierahn Johnson. time and place for all things. let your light shine Matthew 5:6. you can't push word on people's especially in school.you go there to be educated. Wisdom is principal thing. Proverbs 4. we need common sense..
Kierahn Johnson sweety, stand up for Jesus and you'll be alright. King Jesus is the captain of your life, let Him guide you in His will and His ways. Much Love
This makes me think about the days my Mother would be taking us to church,we had to walk a ways from the road before we got to the church an you could hear them singing an stomping their feet. That was the most beautiful sound you could ever hear.I miss all that now .The churches are nothing like that anymore. You could feel The Present of The Lord In The Churches Back Then.Lord Have Mercy on us now.
It's alright the lordis rising up real prophets like the ones in the bible to bring correction to these churches and soon enough they will be truly anointed ❤ just keep holding on
I recently lost my daughter and it’s hard every day I cry, but you have to continue, they are one with the spirit now, pray and your soul will be comforted
Give your life to the Lord, what we can't do God can do. Our ONLY help is in the Lord. Life a uphill journey and we need God promise and protection to keep us from the fiery darts and traps, snare that the enemy uses to try to kill, steal, and destroys us. The word said if we repent, turn from evil seek God he will protect us from all evil. (Paraphrasing) . The wages of sin is death but, the gift of God is eternal life. Be blessed and keep the faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
The late Reverend C.L. Franklin was a dynamic singer as well as a preacher. Aretha's mom was close friends with the late Queen of gospel, Mahalia Jackson. According to Mahalia, Aretha's mother was a dynamite gospel singer.
Can you imagine sitting at the dinner table in the Franklin home when Mahalia Jackson was visiting? The power at that table! Now that would be something.
I was just a little girl when rev C L Franklin was singing an preaching but my mother love this song an the minster, now with new technology I can listen an see him too I feel the Holy Spirit when I hear his songs an sermons. My mom past away in 2006. But when I hear this song I can feel her presence and her joy that I am save in our lord christ Jesus. It is truly a miracle an I thank god for this time in my life. my mom will always live through me in my heart. An some day we will all be together in heaven with Jesus.
my mom passed away in 2001. She was my best friend in the world. Sometimes, when I feel a little melancholy, I listen to these old songs that she used to talk about. You see, mediums like the Internet have a whole lot of evil inside. However, without this medium, how else could I experience the very same music that my mother made legend to me before there ever was a TH-cam. Imagine, I can go back to the place where my teenage mother sat in the crowd and praised God. On some live recordings, I could hear her Uncle who would have her drive him to them old shows on the gospel highway. I could hear him by the p.a. system just like she told me, and I know she's right there with him. That gives me a measure of peace. There aren't many things in this world that hurts like losing a good mother. God bless you and your family on this road of life.
In loving memory of Dr .Rev . C.L . Franklin and daughter Aretha , still missing you 'll .What anointing they were blessed with . You two will never be forgotten. , This never get old . 5/ 30/2021

Aretha looks like her mother. I love me some good ol fashioned Baptist preaching and singing. It stirs up my soul and makes me cry with joy. It is getting harder to find that anymore.
mama taught me about the Bible, but I lived my life my way, down a dark and lonely hiway,Jesus met me on my way. IT WAS DOWN AT THE RIVER, MUDDY WATER WASHED MY SINS AWAY.
This was when they had "THE MOURNERS BENCH", where you came to bow before THE LORD ALMIGHT, and repent and be saved. There were no playing at that place. They had wooden chairs some had a straw seats, the back of the chair had a fresh ironed white cover. Coming up as a child we sang these songs in Church, we were very little children didn't know what the songs meant, but we know now! just keep on living. My Great grandma,Grandma, Aunt Alice were over THE MOURNERS BENCH. I really do miss the Church as it was then, but YAHWEH IS STILL ON THE THRONE! HE is ACTS 4:28. Dont let the trials of this world get you down,Keep Looking Up. Thank you for the memories I'll cherish them always. Be Blessed THE LORD.3/16/16

I lived in Detroit during the times of Rev. Franklin. As a young child/teen during the summer early 60's, on specific Thursday nights thru Saturday nights, you could walk to the open leased parking lot close to Rev. Franklin's Church and attend the tented Revivals that he conducted for the community. Baptist Churches were truly "Opened" to ALL back then and None shyed away from proclaiming the Lord in public. He was one of the most popular preachers in the City until his downfall.

DaOrigTruthSeeker- I believed She died at an early age, now I might be mistaken. Correct me if I am wrong, but I was wondering why She wasn't prominent in Aretha's life like Her Dad was also, only to find out that She passed away when Aretha's very Young, if not a Baby. I think She is singing through Her amazing Daughter's voice.
my, my YES sir: Rev FANKLIN ,i thank GOD you & your wife came through here... What a treasure you left us... Ms Aretha Franklin & these sermons's... OMG.!!!

Reverend C. L. Franklin was not only the pinnacle of Black Reverends during his time but the man was blessed with a talented voice that was delivered in a thunder like fashion whenever he preached and sang. Preach preacha….!!!!
Aretha's mother was an amazing vocalist. I wonder why she was never recorded.
Mrs.Barbara Siggers Franklin died at 34 when Aretha was 10
If that's his late wife next to him, Mahalia Jackson said that she was one of the best singers she'd ever heard!
Now I see where Ms. Franklin got her growl from 🎶🎵
Yes that is Aretha'a mother, I believe her name is Barbara. Mahalia Jackson said she was the greatest singer she ever herself heard..
Thats something to say. Wow.
