    • @shockwave317228
      @shockwave317228 8 ปีที่แล้ว +35

      +DeadPistolsBrainGerms when it comes down to it their bite forces' are irrelevant. whoever gets the first bite wins regardless, because their both strong enough to tear apart the other. Unless if they barely get a good bite or hit in a non-fatal area the first strike is the killer. Both of these animals behaved similiar in hunting strategies, ambushing from below. If the two existed at the same time, they would likely be around the same depth level, competiting for food. However with any enviorment containing such large and powerful predators, niether species would attempt to openly 'fight' each other. Instead they would either keep their distances or if they were in a competing scenario for food, and desperate enough, may try to intimidate or even attack in the most extreme of scenarios. The reason why they would mostly try to avoid each other is essentially neither animal wants to risk fighting another apex predator. Its too risky for both. Again, one bite is all it really takes, but they can still damage each other fairly easily and the whole ordain will be rough for both of them.

    • @bkjeong4302

    In case anyone is confused, Predator X and Liopleurodon are not the same animal. They're both Pliosaurs, but Predator X is classified in the Pliosaurus genus as the species Pliosaurus funkei. Liopleurodon is slighlty smaller.
    If you want to know how to spell it, it's L-I-O-P-L-E-U-R-O-D-O-N.

      Correcting myself: Liopleurodon was not "slightly" smaller, it was much smaller. The largest species of Liopleurodon is Liopleurodon ferox, which attains a maximum body length of about 6 meters, whereas Pliosaurus funkei (Predator x) can reach lengths of 12.8 meters.

    • @claudefrollono1
      @claudefrollono1 9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Luigi Gaskell
      I was always perplexed as to why it was stated in "Walking with Dinosaurs" that Liopleurodon was an over 30 meter-long colossus when in reality he was half the length of a T-Rex?

    • @LuigiG145
      @LuigiG145 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Lieutenant Magmon That's because the body length estimates for L. ferox were overestimated during the production of BBC's "Walking with Dinosaurs.". Paleontology experts used to conclude that the skull of pliosaurids made up about only a small portion of the animal's overall body length. Thus, they would simply scale up the body size based on the speculated body proportions relative to the head. In reality, the head of pliosaurids make up more than 1/3 the overall body size. The estimates were revised and now, the largest species of Liopleurodon, L. ferox, is only estimated to be 6 meters in length.

      like most of all other carnivores of those times . Any predatory species with no arms to hold their food would tear their food appart this way . this is a mercyfull kill since it kills you at the same time it shakes you to tear you appart . A T-rex would put his foot on you to hold you to the ground while he took a bite at your head to pull it off while you were alive or not now thats brutal . You see that big mouth coming at your head and sudddenly you feel the pain from those teeth grabbing on to your head and then the pain of your neck getting pulled off. then your head is completly seperated from your body but still you have a bit of consciousness left and you start to feel those teeth crunching while its grinding your skull to a pulp .It only last for about 2 maybe 3 seconds but jesus it must feel like ten minutes when it happens . brutal enough for you ?Not all species make sure that their food is dead before eating it and they don,t make sure that it is every time

Sure planet dinosaur came way after walking with dinosaurs, but if you say that walking with dinosaurs is better than this, it doesn’t matter.
