Rules are made to be broken. I answered both truthfully, "I like you" and "I want to see you again", and her reaction was priceless because she understood I will break the rules for her.
The most interesting reactions she shows us are when we choose "I don't care about you" (1:34), whether we lie or tell the truth it's the only response where she looks angry rather than happy or disappointed. As if she can understand if we like or dislike her but not if we feel... nothing.
Hoyo really outdid themselves with her character, I usually really don't like antagonistic/emo characters like Scara before his redemption arc for example or Kafka before this quest But through this dialogues alone they managed to make me feel sorry for her and feel empathy to her as a 'mother' to us and as a normal mother she definitely still wants us to like her and want to meet her again, that's why I broke the rules and told her two truths instead (I kinda like her and I want to see her again) and I didn't regret a single thing
I like how she responded the "(LIE) I don't care about you" (which translated to " i DO care about you" is surprised smiling gasp, i swear i almost can see her blushing lol, kinda sweet.
All the talk about her wanting to feel fear, and how her and the trailblazer are each other's destiny etc. It honestly feels like a death flag T.T. Can't help but imagine Kafka finally feeling a fear of losing the trailblazer and becomes Himeko 2.0.
Blade did tell us that we have spent a long long time along side her. Its no wonder that she can read us like a book. Its fuckin Dienslief all over again or is it Monica
Didn't Blade mention something along the lines of Kafka looking out for us and pulling strings to keep us alive when we finish the quest? I'm glad i picked all the nice options XD
Every time we choose the option just below the *(truth) I like you* and *(lie) I hate you.* She gives us this amused smile like, "Oh my sweet summer child, what a tsundere you are. Can't even fully admit your feelings~" Which is kinda embarrassing, getting caught like that IRL. . . Otherwise, if we did select the top most option, she just gives us this comforting acknowledgment.
I love that in this game the dialogue actually has an effect. It makes me feel more invested, makes my choices feel more significant. Kafka is a character that really enforces that principle
Well… not her biological mom. However, Kafka IS the one who apparently raised and protected us since birth. She’s basically our adopted mother in a sense. With that info, I’d be a bit surprised if anything romantic happened between them. It feels like they’re going for a mother figure thing to me. That of course is assuming anything she told us is even true and she followed the rules of the game. It felt like she was truthful, but you can’t be 100% sure.

In the end, we even flirt openly with her, so for me this question is closed (and yes, my English is terrible) She was also probably our mentor, I think this is a situation where a teacher falls in love with her ward, her behavior is more like this

Kafka is like one of my Aunts, she was ruthless with my mom and cousins when they were younger but she always was nice and protector with me as a kid until today...
Kafka at the start of the game already tell us not to regret the choices we make in the game, so a lots of choices we make will affect whether we can get certain quests & items in the future. so noone can complete all quests and get all items on 1 run of the game. in future, if you have enough friends that play the games, you be surprised on what they have and have not when compared to yours.
The pleased sounds she makes when we tell her something positive as a truth or something negative as a lie... And the sad sighs she makes when we tell something negative as a truth or something positive as a lie... Makes her seem like she has mind-reading abilities that allows her to detect whether we say the truth or not. Also her facial expression slightly changes according to what we say.
im so sad i choose not meeting her and obeying the rules. got confused with her wording and her expression destroys. knowing that she took mc as her own. i really want to replay this story quest again :(
Same, I thought the second time the dialogue option appeared was the answer I should've lied (wanted to play the game route) Then I realized my mistake when the "I want to see you again" option was a lie
If she already underrands our thought process.... then it doesnt matter what we answer she already knows what we are thinking and how we chose to answer and what that answer implies.
Funny how she can read us and that we can read her as well. Clearly the writing and design team knew what they were doing. They could have make it impossible for us to tell if she was lying or not (other than finding evidence - or using that special question "2+2=4") but they didnt.
Just noticed something really interesting. In almost every single response, she is either *happy or sad* , this is because she is always able to tell whether you're telling the truth or lying. *HOWEVER* , there are 2 scenarios where she acts *surprised* instead. 1) If you lie about not caring about her, because she then can't work out whether you like her or dislike her. I chose to leave the quest so I never saw any of this , but it's cool to see that there's a way to outsmart someone who can tell whether you're telling the truth or not. 2) If you DON'T obey the rules of the game at the end. It doesn't matter what your response is, she's just surprised you cheated
I answered both in honest, *Rules are meant to be broken* I also think that she didnt follow the rules aswell, What makes me believe that is the line in the Silverwolf event were SW and kafka have something in good common And that is breaking the rules
I really was happy with the choices i made :)\ 1) Lie) I dislike you 2) Truth) I want to see you again. I dont have the willpower to say i dislike her when we were saved by her and she literally is our past colleague .

But fear doesn't affected by happiness, or sadness. Like i said, truth or lie, she's going to feel emotionally hurt a bit for hearing negative answers.
This is the only quest that had some choices, and it was a surprise for me.
The "fear" she wants to feel is probably the fear of losing us.
I believe this is the case because of what Bladie says at the end, about how we and Kafka spent a Lot of time together and all that she sacrificed for the both of us
@@healcat7941 The Fear itself that Kafka wants, doesn't qualify as anything specific. Her reason for getting fear, is why she's with Eliot. Probably Kafka want to know, how exactly it means to feel the fear. She fearlessly called to us only due to that quest, cuz she was desperate enough, but not out of fear, but cuz she's doesn't know anyone outside of her team, who would help her out. Since mara strikes Blade, and Kafka had to deal between 2 fires. Surely they would escaped thanks to Wolf, but having more bad relationship with Lofu, since Blade is criminal within Lofu, i guess Kafka truly trust the MC.
"Love or hate Kafka, it's not up to us to decide."
This is basically the only thing we actually can decide though?
@@derp_dragons You can decide the consequences of this quest, that's your choice of actions. But judging Kafka, only cuz she had to leave us, without any explenation, that's different topic. Would you hate Kafka, cuz you were created to bear the stellaron inside you? We must understand 2 things. We were created by Elio, and Kafka followed his orders. And second, Kafka has no fear, and she doesn't know what means fear. And she followed Elio, cuz he promised that if Kafka wants to feel fear, we must be created, so Kafka would actually understood what fear is like. I hope you understand the reason behind Kafka's goal. It was not just Kafka who created us, but a guidance of Elio, that created main hero.
@@SylarGKIW I'm sorry but what are you even on about? Everyone can decide for themselves if they like that character or not. As with any other character out there. I didn't even say where I stand, I just pointed out that you, as a person existing in the "real world" tm, have the choice to like or not like the character.
Rules are made to be broken.
I answered both truthfully, "I like you" and "I want to see you again", and her reaction was priceless because she understood I will break the rules for her.
I did the same I wanted to see it again but its not in video
kafka actually sees through. her face when you lied to like her....is really sad :*(
The most interesting reactions she shows us are when we choose "I don't care about you" (1:34), whether we lie or tell the truth it's the only response where she looks angry rather than happy or disappointed. As if she can understand if we like or dislike her but not if we feel... nothing.
Hoyo really outdid themselves with her character, I usually really don't like antagonistic/emo characters like Scara before his redemption arc for example or Kafka before this quest
But through this dialogues alone they managed to make me feel sorry for her and feel empathy to her as a 'mother' to us and as a normal mother she definitely still wants us to like her and want to meet her again, that's why I broke the rules and told her two truths instead (I kinda like her and I want to see her again) and I didn't regret a single thing
Her sad chuckle when you lie about liking her breaks my heart. 😭
Blade did tell us that we have spent a long long time along side her. Its no wonder that she can read us like a book. Its fuckin Dienslief all over again or is it Monica
DDLC FOREVER
dainslef bc he’s x1000 cooler then monica
@@juice3287Nah, Monica is pretty nice too.
3:10 NOOOOO IT HURTSSSS
Didn't Blade mention something along the lines of Kafka looking out for us and pulling strings to keep us alive when we finish the quest?
I'm glad i picked all the nice options XD
Blade in the back: Why are we till here... just to suffer?...
The shock on her face when we say we don't want to see her again (Break the rules) is so sad ;_;
Is blade just chilling there watching this soap opera
He is literally fighting for his Life(Death) 🤣🤣
I love that in this game the dialogue actually has an effect. It makes me feel more invested, makes my choices feel more significant. Kafka is a character that really enforces that principle
I wanted to see her again, but i already told the truth the first time, so i thought of cheating and yelled "RULES ARE MADE TO BE BROKENNN"
My heart broke everytime I saw Kafka sad face in this video. I'm glad I make her happy with my choices.
She’s just stuffing your face with sweetness at this rate, my heart just sank when I saw her message
So she totally knows I like her and want to see her again, nice.
Her backstory was also rather interesting.
The way she looked down after tb lying to her about liking her broke my heart😭😭
I think Kafka loves the main character and that's fine. Finally, Stelle (or another hero) has a sweetheart and thank the gods that she is not a mom
@@DiamonDust Granted, she could have sprinkled her lies with details that are actually true.
@@DiamonDust After the photo of her breasts, I'm sure she doesn't treat us like a child) well, I think there's a hint of love here. For me, Himeko is more like a mother, Kafka in my opinion is in love with us
@@DiamonDust At least I don't want a "mom" in this game (For me, this is a cringe from the very beginning), I want to develop a relationship with her huh. And leave with her at the end. That is all
@@DiamonDustAnd I found out that the music at the beginning of the game before she woke us up was wedding music. In general, she is at most our partner, but not a "mom" and not a "foster mother", given the fact that we have worked with her for a long time. I really hope there's a hint of a deep romantic relationship here.
In the end, we even flirt openly with her, so for me this question is closed (and yes, my English is terrible)
She was also probably our mentor, I think this is a situation where a teacher falls in love with her ward, her behavior is more like this
Meanwhile I happen to be keep it vaguely at first answer and "Rule are meant to be broken!!" the second.
I can feel her sad and feel betrayed by a little giggle when we tell a lie if we like her
(Break the rules)
*Kafka boss music plays*
🤣
4:37 I mean RULES A MADE TO BE BROKEN
It's interesting because although we tell her to fuk off she still is surprised because RULES ARE MADE TO BE BROKEN!
I COULD NEVER SHE JUST KEEPS SMILING 😭
4:06 cutest god damn smile I swear to god, and I'm glad I got to see it myself too
*oh my god she can read us like a book*
i just noticed her facial expressions, she can tell between your lie and your truth *AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA*
Kafka is like one of my Aunts, she was ruthless with my mom and cousins when they were younger but she always was nice and protector with me as a kid until today...
mad respect to her for respecting if you don't like her even if you're clearly heartbroken
Damn i hated kafka at first but now things have changed
RULES ARE MADE TO BE BROKEN!!
0:33 my heart sanked :(
Kafka at the start of the game already tell us not to regret the choices we make in the game, so a lots of choices we make will affect whether we can get certain quests & items in the future. so noone can complete all quests and get all items on 1 run of the game. in future, if you have enough friends that play the games, you be surprised on what they have and have not when compared to yours.
[Lie] "I don't care about you" is probably the smoothest
Her reaction when I told her I want to see her again. I be like: "She knows, she knows"
The best character of the game is in love with us! Great
The pleased sounds she makes when we tell her something positive as a truth or something negative as a lie...
And the sad sighs she makes when we tell something negative as a truth or something positive as a lie...
Makes her seem like she has mind-reading abilities that allows her to detect whether we say the truth or not.
Also her facial expression slightly changes according to what we say.
im so sad i choose not meeting her and obeying the rules. got confused with her wording and her expression destroys. knowing that she took mc as her own. i really want to replay this story quest again :(
I don't know if she's good at reading people or not, I just think she already knows the answers because Elio told her what we would say.
При выборе руководствовался тем, что правила созданы для того, чтобы их нарушать

When we say (truth) "i dislike you"
my heart stabbed
Blade sitting there waiting for his Ramen order...
a good mom always knows when her daughter lies 🥺
Broo hurt her feelings so bad he needed to make ton accounts
Oh my god, my heart broke when you choose "I hate you as the truth"😭
I chose to tell the truth both times because rules are made to be broken.
I literally forgot this quest... I really just remember anything about this quest.
she can read our mind, i cannot argument that
accidentally chose that i didn't want to see her again and now I didn't get the text messages she sends using blades phone....
Same, I thought the second time the dialogue option appeared was the answer I should've lied (wanted to play the game route)
Then I realized my mistake when the "I want to see you again" option was a lie
WHAT DID SHE SAY
Thank you for this... Now I know what to do and what to respond
i chose (truth) i like you and "i dont want to see kafka again" and immediately regretted it after the 2nd dialogue option appeared
i'm gonna cry (っ˘̩╭╮˘̩)っ mommy Kafka is the best
I find it better to completely reject her companion quest. She actually appreciated it because we defied fate and chose our own path.
If she already underrands our thought process.... then it doesnt matter what we answer she already knows what we are thinking and how we chose to answer and what that answer implies.
Blade just there in the background lmao
I love interactions like these in games
To hear you say “I hate you” and to feel that it’s true cut her deep…
I hope those choices won't have consequences on the future because i accidently chosen the option i didn't wanted at the second question
This game of hers was rigged from the start because she knows the MC so well that she can tell truth from lies.
When she's sad after being disliked my heart hurts
when Kafka said :0 i really felt that
RULES ARE MADE TO BE BROKEN!
oh, so it wasnt just me when i thought she looked kinda sad when i said i disliked her and didnt wanna see her again
Funny how she can read us and that we can read her as well.
Clearly the writing and design team knew what they were doing.
They could have make it impossible for us to tell if she was lying or not (other than finding evidence - or using that special question "2+2=4") but they didnt.
Of the responses I thing the I dont care about you is worse than the i hate you
How… just how can you make her so sad😭
She ended up saying "I can't understand you" when i made my choices l.
I answered both in honest,
*Rules are meant to be broken*
I also think that she didnt follow the rules aswell,
What makes me believe that is the line in the Silverwolf event were SW and kafka have something in good common
And that is breaking the rules
In the end she was like 😳
omg... she is best mother ever.... i wanna cry 😭😭😭😭
I followed the rules and said “I don’t want to see you again” and “I like you a lot”
First being lie, and second being truth.
I plan on picking truth I like you and break the rules by saying I want to see you again, SHE SEEMS LIKE A MOTHER TO ME ANYWAYS
i think you miss the option "disobey the rules and tell her you want to see her again"
I really was happy with the choices i made :)\
1) Lie) I dislike you
2) Truth) I want to see you again.
I dont have the willpower to say i dislike her when we were saved by her and she literally is our past colleague .
Colleague??
Say Mommy
Disliking Kafka? Not in this hoyoverse.
this feels more like
