    Nice video, did you try out Griots ceramic wax?

      H4Hamburger Thanks for the awesome comment. I think you are right. The videos I put together should be getting more views but TH-cam hasn’t been great in that regard over the past few months. Regardless, I detail for the love of it and the videos are just for fun. Do you currently drive an Audi?

      @@RADGarage Yes sir, I drive a B8.5 S5 Coupe. I've always been into detailing but your content has made me strive to be more meticulous and passionate about the little things. I've learned so many small details that have improved my detailing immensely from you.
      I try to share your content! TH-cam recommended you to me, so I'm glad they reached me. Just keep grinding! I also watch a few guys you look up to, and I must say that your editing and ability to detail is actually at a higher level. This is what puzzles me about your channel.
      Thanks for your content and keep being excellent!

    I have the Ethos Ceramic Wax on two of my cars and it goes on and comes off so easy. I am really happy with the outcome of the shine and hydrophobic properties. Those wheels came out amazing! Nothing better than clean wheels. Thanks for sharing the products you are using in your detail.

I really liked how you posted the time invested in each task, great idea, it’s a good way to measure the time needed to do a job right and critique myself. I’ve acquired quite few items from Obsessed Garage including the Kranzle pressure washing wall system. Love that thing ! @@RADGarage I have a Q5 .... replaced a 2017 A4 Quattro a couple of weeks ago as I wanted something a little bigger and easier to get in / out because of a bad back. I had ceramic coating on my A4 but I wasn’t very happy with that after about a year and am considering getting Xpel PPF for the Q5 .... any thoughts on that. Thanks, Chris

    • @RADGarage
      @RADGarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I will probably have a quality PPF applied to the entire vehicle when I move on from my current SQ5. I am a huge fan of PPF. As long as it is maintained well because I have worked on a few cars that get tar or iron deposits in the film and they are left there to basically bond with the film. You have to be diligent about keeping your PPF clean and protected with some sort of sealant or coating. I hear you about the ease of entry/exit with an SUV. I drove the rental car Maxima for two weeks and the in and out was more than I was used to just sliding into my SQ5.

    Well done! I just tackled my fabric seats in my mustang today because it was discolored from embedded dirt. Took some love but got to love a Bissell extractor. One thing I realize that I need to get is an air compressor because there's stubborn dirt in the cracks and creviced I just can't fully get cleared. Compressed seems to work wonder with that! Gives it that special showroom brand new feeling.

    Thank goodness that you’re back. I was having RAD withdrawals. I’ve done 2 Teslas with the Ceramic Wax Pro and it’s so easy on and off. The shine is unmatched. I’m waiting to see how long it holds up. I did the wife’s Mustang GT with Meg’s Ceramic Wax and am topping it with Bead Maker after maintenance washes and that combo is deadly for shine and slickness. Glad to see you back on here!

    • @RADGarage
      @RADGarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, it was so easy on and off. I had to remove my glove though because the applicator kept slipping out of my hand. He shot me a pic when he was gassing it up and the shine coming off the Allroad was amazing. I'm currently sitting on my driveway watching my kid shoot hoops waiting for him to come home so I can see it in the evening sun. I've never used Bead Maker. I will at some point I am sure.

    Another good one Rick. Always enjoy your videos. Just did a full interior detail on my weekend toy yesterday. It's only a 2 seater hatchback (370z) so it's not as bad as doing my Pathfinder! I broke out all the toys, my steamer, my "George" numatic vacuum/wet extractor (love that thing!) and took about 6 hours to completely deep clean and protect the entire inside. Scrubbed down every surface, fabric, carpets, mats, glass, even steamed many different surfaces inside for an "extra" clean, as well as steaming out the door jambs. Finished up with Gtechniq Smart Fabric on all the carpets, mats, and fabric's inside. First time i've used that particular fabric protectant so i'm curious to see how it holds up. Finished off everything with Angelwax Enigma Interno ceramic infused interior coating. That stuff worked incredibly well and can be used on every interior surface including fabrics which I was surprised. I didn't do the fabrics with it this time but was intrigued that you could coat the fabrics with the same product you use on hard surfaces. I'm going to test it on a fabric next time. Did not change the matte appearance of all the surfaces whatsoever but supposedly coats in some Si02 protection. It's a great choice for interior protection due to it being so versatile and you don't need 3 or 4 different products for the interior. It is a little pricey but not bad. Angelwax is quickly becomming one of my favorite company's behind American Detailer Garage and their "F Bomb", "Fuzion", and "Wipeout". Those three products are incredible! I know your an Adams fan, but if you ever have a chance to try American Detailer Garage stuff (especially the aforementioned three), I HIGHLY recommend it. If you can't get them up there in Canada, i'll send you some samples of each from my own products for you to try. I've quickly converted to doing mostly rinseless washes now after I get my vehicles up to par after a full decon, clay, polish, sealant, etc. Using FUZION or WIPEOUT for rinseless, one word........incredible! I know you mentioned that you do rinseless washes up there as well due to the harsh winters and extended cold you get. You would absolutely love Fuzion and Wipeout. Fuzion is a FOAMING rinseless! I know, it sounds crazy, works like no other! You can actually use Fuzion in a foam cannon or even as a regular wash for two bucket method, window cleaning, and more. Super versatile product. Wipeout is a more traditional rinseless but great on windows and interiors too! One product to do it all on maintenance washes which is great. "F Bomb" fills in where the other two don't work such as a strong degreaser, APC, wheel cleaning product, etc. I actually saw a detailer who mixes 3 parts "F Bomb" and two parts "Wipeout" and used it on mats, plastics, etc. Foams up great and left a dark matte finish Like I said, those three products are just so darned impressive. Hope your staying safe up there in good ole' Canada aye. Until your next one buddy.

      I'll keep my eye out for the American Detailer Garage stuff. But, to be honest, if Carzilla doesn't carry it, I probably won't lay hands on it. We are doing well here in Canada despite the fact Mother Nature wants us all dead.

    Great detail video once more Rick. Question the Detail sprays, do you recommend to use this product after a wash to clean out hard to reach spots or can this product also be use in between washes to maintain clean car? For some reason there is always dust on a New clean car the next day in Montreal . PS your opinion on the Ethos vs your equivalent Adams product?

    • @RADGarage
      @RADGarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Can’t compare between the brands till I get more usage. Definitely comparable though. Some people are dead set against using a detail spray between washes but I do. As long as you use light pressure, a quality towel you’ll be fine. The alternative of driving a dusty vehicle just doesn’t sit well with me.

    Hi Rick, I've been binge-watching your channel and wanted to ask you, what made you switch from Griot's to Adam's and then Ethos? Is there really a noticeable difference in results from one to the other?
    Also, it seems like the line of products for any of these companies are interminable, can an amateur such as me really take advantage of all of them realistically? I see for example some of the Ethos products like the "Graphene Matrix Coating"... are those products geared towards professionals? Because they sound complicated.

    • @RADGarage
      @RADGarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The relationships I make in this hobby is what ends up switching my focus from brand to brand. I have been very fortunate to have forged many friendships with different people at different companies, all of them top notch and reputable companies. Currently, Ethos is killing it with new products and I have come to know the genius behind the brand so I have really enjoyed adding a lot of their line up to my arsenal. I think you could very well apply your own Ethos graphene coating to your car. There is a professional grade, but the Matrix is for guys like you and me! I say go for it!

    • @RADGarage
      @RADGarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Stephen Boyd Great question. I used it recently on my Spring Detail project but that really about it. If I’m doing a car for someone else and it requires the wheels to come off, it’s handy to have it. Other than that, wheels changed on my own car and cars of friends. No oil changes as I have the Audi Care!

    How are you liking the ethos line thus far Rick? I’ve ordered their Defy and GrapheNe,,,I also love their interior Detailer.

    • @RADGarage
      @RADGarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am biased a bit since I have such a high level of respect and admiration for the work Tim Coats does. That said, I am really enjoying the line. I have 7 or 8 products and I like them all. I am very impressed with DEFY. I just love it as a final spray. I have another package of their stuff en route but it has been a sloooow go. Left Vancouver according to USPS on July 7th and still hasn't made it here. I am curious how the graphene coating will go on and handle all this crazy Canadian weather will be throwing at it.

      RΔD GΔRΔGE I’ve been waiting on their wheel cleaner to re-stock. I think you’re the first I’ve seen use it so I’m gonna grabe me a few bottles once it comes in. So far every product in their line I’ve used has been a great performer. Now a question....have you figured out the differences and best applications for their variety of sprays like Defy vs surface coat vs ceramic refresh etc...it’s not evident to me maybe you know

    • @RADGarage
      @RADGarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, there certainly is a learning curve with regards to the products. And, they are releasing new products often which can be challenging to keep up with. I've been so busy with projects lately, I haven't really had the time I need to sit down and figure it all out. I'm also pretty fortunate that I have the company founder on speed dial so if I have a question, I can just reach out to him. I think they are ending Surface Coat and replacing it with a different product. (I could be wrong)

    How is Ethos Foam, compared to Adam’s Mega Foam?

    • @RADGarage
      @RADGarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Definitely on par. Did you see how thick it was in the footage? It had great thickness and cling was strong. I wish the Allroad was a bit dirtier to see its true capabilities. My own car is a mess right now so I’ll give it a go.

  • @FrankieKennethL
    @FrankieKennethL 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Rick, How did you Ike the FoamParty compared to mega foam? Also, which is that wash mitt you’re using...seems to cover lots of real estate.

    • @RADGarage
      @RADGarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I was impressed with the Foam Party, but having only used it once it is difficult for me to compare. I have used Mega so much that I have grown quite attached to it, but the thickness and cling of the Foam Party is very real. I can't explain it but I loved the colour of it too. I think you would be happy with either.
