    Thanks for this detailed and well thought out installment. I think I will purchase if only to help with immersion over performance for my humble rallying set up on xbox

    I purchased it 2 weeks ago from your last video review on PC! Delivered next day from Amazon. At first I didn’t like it over my tactile transducers. After tweaking and making adjustments, I love it! Now I rarely turn on my transducers as the HF8 does it all, and silently! I was always hesitant turning on my shakers due to noise vibrations shaking my neighbours below etc…lol!

    Thumbs up for buying it yourself and giving a honest review. I cannot take free product reviews seriously as if you give it a bad review they won't send you anymore products. I hope these videos give you your money back.

    Couple of drawbacks for me on this. I have a sim rig for my Series X which I have dual purposed with a Thrustmaster T.Flight HOTAS for MSFS, and full Fanatec setup for racing. Neither of those peripheral setups have audio jacks which means that I would have to plug into a controller. But when you don't touch the controller, it powers down so you'd lose the HF. Will be upgrading the Honeycomb flight Sigma Tau or Tango Foxtrot HOTAS when available, but so far no info on if they will have audio jacks. I could plug into TV, but if I upgrade the TV which is coming in a few months, no guarantee the new TV will have audio jack either. Other is the price at AUD400. If it was down 50-100, and I could USB connect it to Xbox, then I might consider.

    Returned mine. The vibration is more of a distraction than immersion and feels kind of gimmicky and cheap. I also find my chair being tethered to my PC with a wire somewhat annoying. Thanks for the review though.

    Interesting video, thx Marc! Does it have some therapeutic vertue vibrating your muscles!? Joke aside, I feel it would be more fitted to race siming with the vibrations following the revs of the engine / driving over the kerbs, etc?

    • @SimHangerFS

      It was principally designed for race, but works great in flightsim in my opinion.

    Thanks for your review! Will the ATC's voice trigger vibrations? I'm guessing it would since the haptic feedback is based on overall audio.

    thanks Mark another great video very tempted..... im on series X with Turtle Beach V1 and also have their flight stick.... i have the money to get this but also fancy the pedals, cant afford both right now and slowly building my sim setup , which would you think should be my next purchase ? TB pedals or the HF8 ? ill get both at some point but having £250 available right now what would be the best option........ ?

    • @SimHangerFS

      Go for the pedals first, a rudder is essential in my opinion.

    • @SimHangerFS

    Hmm, great vid Mark. I've an S Series, but I may upgrade to a PC once I can afford it. There are so many peripherals coming onto the market, I can't keep up with what is best. Can I assume that this version of the HF8 would also work on a PC? I know you did a vid on using it with a PC, so I guess my question is: if I bought this for use on my Xbox, then I upgraded to a PC, would this still work?

    • @capttom144
      @capttom144 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      afaik yes, you should be able to plug it into the PC via the USB or use it elsewhere via the sound connection..

    Can’t really see this being a thing I’d purchase, maybe the experience is better while actually using it but struggling to get my head round it TBH and the cost is too high for me to be tempted to try it.
    The main thing we really need on Xbox is head tracking, that would be a game changer.

    Yes, you didn't mention the intensity setting used, was it on Max?
    I was thinking possibly having an "audio splitter"- sending louder audio to this device & lower aidio sent to headphones etc

    Thanks Mark, Do you have a link for downloading Simconnect for PC and msfs 2020? I’m still having setup issues after trying simconnect from the website with 2016 in it. Plus my HF8 app does not look like yours but it’s truncated for some reason. I can only click on the pad to verify it’s working so once I get the right Simconnect file I’m concerned I’ll still have an app issue. Thanks!

    I have a problem when i plug in to my monitor jack the vibration is constant but when i plug to my controller only when i crash that vibrate like 2 secs. I dont feel the vibration when plug in to the controller. Im using tca airbus flight stick

    For the life of me I cannot get this to work. Plugging into the xbox controller, nothing happens at all. If I actually touch the audio jack it vibrates, but seems to do nothing when plugged in. I tried plugging headphones in, nothing. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I have a series X, running via my Samsung TV, and a polk soundbar

    • @SimHangerFS
      @SimHangerFS  ปีที่แล้ว

      It might be your controller settings or the actual audio port on the controller. Check this by playing some music with a good variable beat on your TV and plug the HF8 audio jack in. You can do this on a tablet as well. If you get a variable vibration….then it is your controller.

    • @roryhennessy6509
      @roryhennessy6509 ปีที่แล้ว

      @SimHanger Flight Simulation thank you. No luck. Tried the three female audio parts on the TV. With two of them, it had a low, constant vibration regardless of whether anything was playing or not. With the other one, nothing. Similarly, plugging into the soundbar did nothing. I managed to install the software on my laptop to test on there. I can individually test each motor, but again, nothing when playing any sound. I've also tried it with the PS5 and it does nothing. It gets recognized as a headset, but no sound comes through the TV when it's plugged into the controller. I've emailed support and been ignored, so I wonder if it's just a faulty product.
