- At the end of the nineties I started making music with software called "trackers", producing files called "modules" or "mods". This song is the demo file that came with Impulse Tracker 2.14, my weapon of choice; the software looked every bit like the one that you see during the video, Schism Tracker. I could talk for hours about these great times and The Scene (the tracker users and demo makers community)... but I'd bust the text limit so just ask if you want to know more on this subject. ;-)

They are playable with Winamp, but I recommend ModPlug Player.
Nothing too flashy on the drums here, I tried to keep with the spirit of the song. I removed the drum samples from the original track so all the drums you hear are mine. - เพลง

Woah! Reading this just filled me with some much needed bliss. You basically created a core chlidhood memory for me, that was partially the inspiration for both, my musical and IT decisions later in life, and being able to thank you for that so many years later here makes me unreasonably happy. So, uhm, THANKS!!
The times I talk about were those where I got my software literally mostly through school friends and my barber. I haven't had any internet access until like 1998 or so, but us kinds made do somehow. It was a much more mundane, but also somehow more glorious time back then. Ahh nostalgia, right? It always gets you eventually.

Love it! This song will always remind me of long summer nights making music in Impulse Tracker. Those were the days!

Trop classique Blue Flame! Ça venait avec Impulse Tracker et ça faisait rêver de pouvoir composer un truc aussi beau (ce qui m'avait pris bien des années, avant de pouvoir atteindre ce niveau!).

You know what would be a nice addition, have a violinist play the melody along with this drummer, and maybe have a bassist in th emix too... now that would make an awesome trio for playing this tune.
