Ok. Let's define some terms: 1. capability to play - coordination, memory, 2. capability to tune and get the sound correctly - patience, hearing, 3. exactness of the notes - again memory and careful listening, time 4. composition - volume, depth. Playing is one thing, but setting up the kit, sounds and recording to make it so good is not a trivial thing to do. I am impressed, although there were some glitches in the video which made me doubt a little. Love the basement setup, reminds me mine :)
As a drummer myself I can tell you are feeling what you are expressing. I can only say that it gets better friend. Drums and music has saved my life. Very well done on Tool guy. Thumbs up .

You're right he is a an amazing drummer, but I don't know who has been playing longer or who puts in more hours. I think the 2 drummers are definitely on different levels. But both are amazing in their own right ! I believe a proper comparison can't be done without knowing the backgrounds on each drummer. Either way your review could be less negative and more appreciative of what each person can accomplish. The simple fact that this guy took the time to set up and record this drum cover at different angles, so we could see the complexity of Danny's drumming is great enough, but then to do it with almost compete perfection is so cool. Algorithm brought me here. I truly hope it brings more. I watch this daily rather than Danny's or the official audio. Amazing work. One of the hardest technical songs and you killed it. Edit: Also; How awesome is it that now new musicians with influences like TOOL and such great artists are now at their time? Music is evolving.
I love how he was able to copy Danny's sound with the roto tom and tabla thing that he used in the song. If he's playing Tool at this age, he's gonna go in the rock hall of fame when he's older.

Algorithm brought me here. I truly hope it brings more. I watch this daily rather than Danny's or the official audio. Amazing work. One of the hardest technical songs and you killed it.
Edit: Also; How awesome is it that now new musicians with influences like TOOL and such great artists are now at their time? Music is evolving.
I love how he was able to copy Danny's sound with the roto tom and tabla thing that he used in the song. If he's playing Tool at this age, he's gonna go in the rock hall of fame when he's older.

Lot of great comments already on here and very much agree on most of them! Def the best cover I’ve seen of Pneuma so far...can use a little polishing...(but thats why we love Tool and DC...a passionate, endless, infinite lesson where we always try to nail every single note and in the process we spiral out in our own drumming abilities)....Very much agreed ... not enough views for the amazing job done. Dont know ya; yet proud of ya. It takes some balls to post a Carey cover! Cheers dude! Rock on!
