I remember when Highway 35 and Acceleracers came out in the early 2000's. I was 6 when World Race came out. Now I'm 24 and try to watch all the movies at least once a year, they're timeless classics.

I kinda figured that Taro stopped using the Roadrunner when Pork Chop brought Rivited because Taro no longer liked the Roadrunner. It had failed him, or he had failed when driving it, take your pick, and he didn't want to be reminded of that.
Well considering that it took a more concentrated lightning attack compared to the one Kurt took as he was able to get it back to run after a while but since the lighting was diluted coming from the rod while the one he took was more concentrated and must have done severe damage to the mechanical parts.
Taro was definitely one of my favorites characters in the movie. His attitude, his heart. His take-no-crap style. The theme of his team is great too. I need to watch this movie again.
2024, 17 and grew up on both Highway 35 and Acceleracers. The new deora II teku release sent me down the rabbit hole of these two amazing series. Couldn't be more nostalgic.
Pretty sure Dom would still lose. Taro's car can still do over 270 without the aid of nitrox 2. Though...now I really want to see a video of the two of them racing XD
