- I spent my Saturday hanging out at Highland Park Village in Dallas, Texas. This is an upscale area like Beverly Hills, surrounded by big homes and luxury shops. Think of it like Rodeo Drive and the vicinity around it. The majority of the high end shops are here, with the rest of them sitting in North Park mall nearby. What you don't find here, you'll find in North Park!

Without Dallas there would be no Highland Park. It’s simply an affluent bedroom community.

I used to remodel houses in Highland Park. It's a nice area. You know George W and Laura lives in the area.

@@EdwardInTX The first George and Barbara Bush lived in Houston. The son and Laura are in Highland park. Also George W Bush's Presidential library is at SMU.

Just don't play tennis there. I once got a ticket for playing on their courts and not being a resident. They once tried to buy Mercedes for the police department but the majority of rich residents didn't want "the help" to have cars like them or their tax dollars spent on "the help".
