This is by far not the best of Maradona. Free kicks? Passes? Dribbles from his own 16 metre line. Bicycle kick passes that lead to goals, were spot on. It is of a whole other level no one ever came close to. It doesn't stop there: getting kicked so much and not being protected at all by referees (no cards where it would be deep deep red nowadays), awful ptiches and retaining the exact same ball control, dodging attacks on the legs, not crying when he got brutally fouled. This is an inspirator, a leader, a fighter when needed, one that controlled all of the pitch not just the area near the goal. I must have missed something. No one I ever saw is remotely close to this.
