@@Papabennett74 thanks for letting me know. I can’t duplicate the no sound issue. We have over 400 views on this and I’m hopeful others will report if they have sound issues. What device are you watching from?
I asked some friends to check the video just now. They have great sound. Just want you to know in case you want to check again or try watching on an alternate device.
Larrry, I'm not a turner, but I do have a question about what your intentions are. You said you're going to "glue up" these strips that you're milling today. As a woodworker, I have never heard of gluing up fresh sawn lumber because: 1. it needs to be dried first and 2. it needs to be planed. I'm still watching, you are just now showing the cedar for a cedar chest. Maybe you will be clarifying a time frame for all this to happen some time in the future.
Hey Ron, thanks so much for the questions. The logs I used have been down for a while and their moisture content is low. In fact, the lumber we milled today has a moisture content of 9.8. I was surprised! We do plan on letting it set a bit longer in the shop before it is planed. Google says the permissible range in moisture content for the wood is 6 - 15 percent when gluing. We know we can trust google-lol!
Wow, it looks so cold and yet you all keep working
Yes, it was a very cold day! However, the beauty we found inside that cedar log was worth it.
I’m watching your video on TV and no problems! I’ve never had this problem before!
That is good to hear. Hopefully you’ll get the iPhone issue resolved too.
Cool video. Nice mill and a beautiful mill structure. Subscribed

Loved you video, by the way!
