Full Circle Ozarks
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 12 มิ.ย. 2012
We were blessed to be raised in the country. Our summers as kids were spent wandering the woods, playing in ponds, picking garden vegetables, eating fruit from peach, plum, and cherry trees, hunting, and many other outside activities. Then at an incredibly young age in 1975 a teenage boy and girl from the Ozarks got married! The adventures began (and are still in full swing). We hung around the Ozarks for a few years and then Hubster joined the US Air Force. Wow, we had fun travelling all over the world (but our heart was still in the Ozarks). After retiring from the Air Force and Wifey (me) retired from Federal Civil Service, we miraculous had the opportunity to come full circle and start a homestead in the Ozarks. Wow, we are excited and scared to start this adventure. We have so many adventures planned…taking undeveloped land and clearing it, adding a road, electricity, water, building a home, cutting wood, creating wood craft/heirlooms, hiking…

We got a little freezing rain on the East side of the Ozarks, but no snow.
We didn’t get a lot of snow but the temps are frigid! At least in this area.
They sure are-burr!
What size bucket are using on your machine. I Hardy use my 18 in tooth bucket but instar d use my 32 inch ditching bucket for almost everthing Nice watching you Getty Ng thing done
I use my 12” bucket mostly for this type of work. I use the 24” bucket when I need to move more dirt or when I need a wider trench.
New subscriber. Like a video, nice little machine you have. It does the job. Will be watching more. Have a good day and have a good New Year. Stacy my friend Stay safe, my friend.
Welcome aboard and thanks for the kind words. Stay safe and Happy New Year.
I was a bit anxious while he was doing that!
Well it was a bit windy and a nearby tree did fall!
I also have a HM126 that needs these SS Bunks..., can you send me the part number for the stainless bunks? I have put a question into WoodLand Mills.
You’ll need to actually call them to place an order since these are not listed online. I purchased mine in their Port Perry Ontario showroom around 2 1/2 years ago. My wife and I took a vacation to Niagara Falls and then decided to visit Woodland Mills showroom in Port Perry Canada.
And they are still smoldering!
Yes it is. Several days later!
I'm glad I found your channel! I just bought an SY26U myself and am learning from you. I only have a 24" dig bucket. I'm pretty sure your 12" bucket does a better job with roots and digging up stumps. Have you tried tree and stump work with the 24"? How'd that go?
Thanks and welcome aboard! I use my 12” the most. It is very strong and much lighter than my 24” bucket. I also have a 36” rake I use for brush cleanup. I put the SY26U to task on a very steep hillside this week. You’ll want to watch these two videos. The second video goes live this Thursday.
@FullCircleOzarks I've watched the first one. That's a steep hill. I have the same type of hill on my property so I'm watching your techniques. Where did you get your rake? Have you made any videos using it? That is very possibly my next purchase.
I’ll make a video using the rake soon. I got my excavator and attachments at my dealership in Brookline MO. Hear is the link: ste-equipment.com/locations/
You mentioned a kiln and that's the next thing that I'm building because i have a lot of Black oak and it's very expensive in my area.
Thanks. Do you have design plans for your kiln?
@FullCircleOzarks no just started getting a few ideas from you tube and trying to figure out how big that I want to build it
That is where I’m at too.
I would stain it and Not paint it red , just my opinion
Thanks.
Looks good, the metal brackets give it a nice finished look as wll as additional support. Great job.
Thanks! I'm glad you like the brackets.
You and I have a similiar taste in Toys. I live at 7'500' everything is steep here. I have a tym574 tractor, I have 2" wheel spacers they help with stability, and I run chains year round, the chains aren't as hard as one would think on the ground, but help allot with plowing and keeping rear end from sliding. I run a Milwaukee M18 electric chainsaw and have found that the milwaukee brand chains are terrible, I just use Oregon chains on the saw night and day difference in production.
Thanks for the kind comments about the toys. They are helpful around the homestead. I have three chainsaws, Stihl MS251c, Stihl MS291, and a DEWALT 60 volt DCCS677B with a 20” bar. I use the DEWALT the most for cleanup.
Same for me with the battery m18, most commonly used for limbing for me. I have a 291 and a 500i, I dont run the 291 allot anymore. I use the 500 for felling, I do allot of mitigation of Douglas Fur and Ponderosa Pine on my property. I have a video in a few days with some new toys I got for the homestead.
I'll be watching for that video.
Why not push down hill and pick up over fence with mini ex
Thanks for the suggestion. There is a steeper drop off and a small ditch at our main driveway. However, I may use my winch to drag them close enough to reach with the excavator from our driveway.
Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas to you too. I trust a mini excavator is still in your future.
A man can dream LOL @@FullCircleOzarks
Sure can. Keep dreaming.
It must be nice to have a nice machine like that to help you with your firewood. I am doing the same thing with my Sany . It sure make s life easier.
Thanks. It is very helpful.
I feel that you are going to have a dip in the ground where you put the stumps in a few years, but just my thoughts
I agree with you, a future dip is a possibility. We considered that and decided we willing to add more dirt in the future.
Another great video guys ! Merry Christmas 🎄
Merry Christmas! Glad you enjoyed the video.
Glad you guys enjoyed the trip. If you come back, and give a bit of notice, I'm sure folk will recommend a load of things to visit, farm related.
Thanks for the tips! We hope to visit again!
2:08 wouldn't it be faster to cut it, then dig up the rest?
Actually it’s much harder to take a stump out when the tree has already been cut down. The weight of the tree acts as a lever and helps to pop the stump out as the tree falls.
@@FullCircleOzarksYeah I learned that years ago when I had a John Deere 1050 tractor with a backhoe. You could take down some big trees with a little preliminary digging then using the tree as leverage, much easier than trying to dig one out later when you have small equipment.
Yes indeed.
That’s gonna be a very nice desk top. Great video!👍🏻
Thanks for the comment, I can't wait to use it! I hope to show the finished product soon.
Another great video guys!👍🏻
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.
Cool Video!!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it.
Nice excavator, I have 200 hours on mine and love it. The only this is the are no reasonably priced attachments around in Canada
Thanks for the comment. Attachments can be expensive!
Professional woodturner here. You boxed the heart. Completely worthless for turning stock. More like a pallet Kant.
Thanks for the comment. This is my first attempt at sawing turning blanks. I’ve more to learn….
Another great video!👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it!
I don’t think you have enough toys.
he has my missing link...mini-ex ❤
lol.
I really enjoy my mini-ex.
Got to love the smell of fresh cut walnut way better than the smell of red oak lol
It smells much better.
Two of my favorite TH-camrs. Great partnership with you and Brock 👍. I'm on the east side of the Ozarks and have a small channel with milling and DIY content as well. !
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoy our content. I’ll check your channel out.
Oh my! That bus!! Oh my, let me OFF! But gorgeous!!!

Congratulations on your win. I received your email and you are the confirmed winner!
@FullCircleOzarks thank you, sir.
Looks like you have a good plan. Look forward to seeing the project come along. Thank you for the vid!
Thanks. I appreciate you watching!
Thanksgiving would be giving thanks that you have the room in that shop to work!
So true!
Thanksgiving should be every day of the year. Giving thanks should be as easy and flow as easily as breathing. Thank you Lord....❤ It's always exciting to make a space that is truly your own. Most of us never experience from the floor up!💕
Yes indeed. Thanks for the kind comments.
Oh, and Thanksgiving should be just as popular as Halloween, Christmas, and New Year's.
I hear ya, Thanksgiving should be celebrated more.

So, what are you going to do with the original office room? BTW, Thanksgiving in November should be celebrated the whole month of November.
Not sure yet what we’ll do with it. Thanks.
How was that turkey on Thanksgiving?
It was good. Thanks.
Thanksgiving is a great holiday.
You got that right!
Thanksgiving should be celebrated just as Halloween and Christmas. It needs to be more popular.
Thanks
Happy Thanksgiving
