SLATE: A Review of some of the Principle Events of 1923
SLATE: All Eyes on Egypt - Recalling the World-wide interest in the opening of Tut-Ankh-Amen's Tomb.
EGYPT:
Scene outside tomb of King Tutankhamen, people walking, tomb entrance and group around wooden trunk, tent, PAN to hole in ground
SLATE: Royal Visit to Rome - their Majesties in the ancient capital of our Italian Allies.
ITALY: Rome:
Procession across square between two ranks of Royal guards, and up steps of Vatican: Swiss Papal guards: cardinals looking on:
SLATE: Greatest Earthquake in History. The appalling disaster that devastated the two principal cities in Japan.
JAPAN:
Stream of earthquake refugees with a few possessions towards camera, rubble around: rubble, demolished buildings, etc: demolished bridge over river, rubble and torn pieces of bridge on river's bed, stream of refugees crossing along improvised, frail bridge, some crouching along it: various shots of wreckage and dead bodies:
SLATE: The New Waterloo Bridge - A marvellous engineering feat completed by swinging into position a 500 ton span.
ENGLAND: London:

My grandma was born in 1923 and sadly died 2 months before his 100th birthday this 2023. I really enjoyed seeing what was up when she came up to this world.
