@daltonduo5481 nowadays you have to pay, back then they were free; they provided a verified certificate for a small fee, which I didn't need. It's not like that anymore. Last time I checked, the free version doesn't even give you access to the test. The only thing you'd get for free is the classes. I suggest you enter the courses you're looking for, I guess each institution has its own set of rules.
OK what you do on edx do all the certificates that you want then write the answers down and then do it over with the paid for certificate that way you get it and get to see if you like it or not

It's a waste of time if you don't have the certificate. Because without the certificate there's no proof you actually took that course.
