so far I made 6 masks for my Granddaughter's college graduation (with school logo, year and my 'bee' logo on them) and 4 more for others. These masks are so quick to make and use leftover material (2 pieces of 7x12 fabric) I used the adjustable elastic loops purchases on Amazon and they are super!!
Thank you so much, John and crew, I have been making several different design styles for family, friends, and medical workers. I look forward to trying this one as I just got a Babylock Intrepid.
You are a truly caring person. Thanks for your efforts to supply this most welcoming design. I am a big fan of your work and watch all your TH-cam videos.
This was a very fast mask to make . . . I've made 3 other styles and This is great to have all the sizes . I've been introduced to your company by your generosity. Thank you.
My hoop is a 5x7 and I had to do the two sides separately. Is it possible it can be made bigger for others like me. It will only fit a child or an adult with a small face. The construction was done well and it stitch great. Thanks!!
Thank you so much for this gift of being able to make a face mask in these uncertain times. Please take care and give my good wishes to your whole family; stay safe.
Thank you so much! Has anyone used hat elastic with these? I have but have had a few people say the elastic has come out. Just wondering if anyone else had this problem!
First time seeing this video today. Saw this mask mentioned on The Monogram Mompreneur. Like it! What kind of elastic is that? It's very pretty and looks soft. I downloaded the pattern - will try this weekend.
Just a heads up (pun intended)... each side of the mask is 5.71”x6.16” so it won’t fit in a 5x7. For those of you with 8x8 you could separate the first file in your editing software and save each side separately.
Same as with elastic making the elastic ties 16-18" long for each corner. Make sure to roll the ties so they are in the middle of the mask as it stitches.
I can't wait to use this design, but is there a listing of measurements to help in determining which size to make. I reviewed the files quickly andmay have missed it. If so, sorry, if not, can this info be added? Thanks.
Just stitched out my first mask and it was EASY once I figured that there are 2 designs to load for each mask and where to place the elastic strips from each edge of the fabric. I wasn't sure if there were placement lines in the design or not for the elastic. I used ties because the masks will be for my granddaughters and they are various sizes. I watched the video and missed this part if the placement lines are there. Just wanted to give CUDOS to John.
Thank you! I made several of these this weekend. My only question is: After stitching all on the first hooping, there is a stitching line on the edge where you turn each side. I looked and didn't see you cut this away. Are you supposed to cut inside the stitching to cut this away so you can turn each side?
Thank you for this free ITH mask design! Can anyone help me find the PDF print out? I got the PDF files for the stitch outs (ad. small) but I can't find the PDF directions in any of the files.
Ok. I have spent forever on this pattern. Clearly user error. But I have tried a million different ways to save the pattern. Everytime I run it it only shows up with one side of the mask. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
This looks like a wonderful pattern but I can't open any of the PES files. I keep getting the error Unexpected format. I always use PES. Am I doing something wrong? EDIT: Nevermind. Solved it. Importing the files instead of opening them works!

Why in video was the finished inside of the mask not visible? Please share at least a photo of the finished inside of this mask. From video it appears that a raw edge seam would be against wearer's face. Thanks. Will try stitching out this mask design on my 360 x 200 mm hoop on HV 30.

I love your design. Is there a chance you would upload a design that would fit a 5x7 frame?
Thank you so much for this wonderful design. I plan to make several for my family and friends.
Glad you'll be sharing :) Thanks for watching Sandra!
didnt see this until now but this earned my subscription
Appreciate that, Juan! :) Thanks for watching!
ty so much, ive heard about you from alot of embroiderers, in a good way!
I'm so glad to hear that! Thanks for watching
Thank you so much for this design.
My pleasure, enjoy Jean!
I am brand new to embroidery and I have a BabyLock Aventura2. Can i make this mask with my machine- a single needle embroidery machine?
Monica Canales Trujillo yes you can :)
Thank you! Way awesome 🤗How can I do this with ties?
Same as with elastic making the elastic ties 16-18" long for each corner. Make sure to roll the ties so they are in the middle of the mask as it stitches.
Great design ,Just one Question how long the elastic for each size mask.?
We cut them at 7” lengths.
Thanks John, I can’t wait to get started.
Enjoy! :)
I used the mask pattern and it is fantastic! One thing I learned is pay attention because the pattern sews with the top side of mask towards you.
Tk u so much for this. I have had a difficult time finding a large enough size to fit my husband and his UP of Michigan beard!
I can't wait to use this design, but is there a listing of measurements to help in determining which size to make. I reviewed the files quickly andmay have missed it. If so, sorry, if not, can this info be added? Thanks.
Thank you for the face mask design. I really like it but I can''t find the second hooping design to put it together. Am I missing something?
Thanks, I am looking forward to stitching this out.
Howy Modell thanks for watching :)

so are you saying ghe staples need to say in?
No, they are used to line up the pieces and later cut away.
Fantastic! Thanks so much!
Jay Cadiramen thanks for watching :)
Help! I tried to down load the Hatch trial version something happen. It want take me.
Thanks so much for the pattern, I have looked at so many others and this one is the best I have found! Thanks!
Glad to hear that MaryAnn :) Thanks for watching!

JoAnn Scobey I cut right on the stitch line so it came apart, you could cut slightly inside.
@@EmbroideryLegacy Thanks so much for replying!

Debbie Sinnamon the video shows all the steps.
Love it, thank you so much,
Lyudmila Liai thanks for watching :)
I've never seen that kind of hoop. what is it?
I’m confused on the files. There is a side one and side 2..how do I get both sides to stitch out like your video
Which file do I use for 5x7 hoop. Thanks

Thank you. My biggest hoop is a 5x7, can a person multi hoop this pattern? I just purchased the Hatch and I'm a newbie.

I would like to know the same thing about multi hooping. Your question was not answered.
This design will not fit in 5x7, I have split the first file into two parts. They are in the newest folder with the download.
I am using the 200x300 frame it keeps telling me to switch to a larger hoop.
Either reduce the file size slightly or use larger hoop.
Can you please provide me with a a sizing list of measurements so that I can determine which size to make per my family members & friends. Thank you!
where do i find the download for the mask i have pes

I downloaded and extracted the files, but do not see the PDF tutorial you mentioned. The only PDF files I have are the Production worksheets. Thank you
dynawmn the idea is to follow the instructions within the video.
@@EmbroideryLegacy ah, ok, thanks.
Why in Step 2 does it go over the outline twice? Seems like a waste of thread.
How do we change the letter

AuntSissy Slater the raw edge is on the inside of the seam, it is still comfortable to wear as there is no stabilizer.
Anyway of getting a pattern for a 5x7 hoop?
Just a heads up (pun intended)...

where is the last step file?
Thank you
Enjoy!
How do I omit the logo?
I downloaded the file but I have a Baby Lock and a Brother. Do you have a PES version? Thank you!
Laura DeBellas all the machine formats will be in the folders
@@EmbroideryLegacy Well darn. ThanTh
Do you mind sending it to me/ I have tried repeatedly to open. It says "invalid". aud455@gmail.com
Thanks you. I have Babylock too
Do you have a kids size?
Yes it's included in the download :) www.digitizingmadeeasy.com/free-embroidery-face-mask-design-and-tutorial/
Tried to open the .pes, got error missing #pes at beginning of file
Susan Glenn which file gave the error?
Why the staples
I thought that but I think it's to hold it secure, they are cut off after so just a quick sure way of holding I guess.
Susan Glenn I guess I missed that part. I guess I should download the instructions lol
Great video....but you scared me with putting your hands in the hoop while it is stitching....I was holding my breath for you!
Thanks for watching Joy, we're very careful ;)
Nevermind, found it.
I think this design is very wasteful on fabric, thread and stabiliser, plus I don’t care for the raw edge left inside the mask.Sorry.☹️
No need to be sorry, everyone is entitled to have personal opinions, have a blessed day and be sure to smile :)
@@EmbroideryLegacy thanks for your reply, you have a good day too.😊❤️
Why the staples
Margaret Tiffin makes it easier to line up the four pieces of material together for the last step.
