    I just finished with my solar shed project and couldn't be happier with the results. This shed will be a great workshop, a charging station for my battery-powered lawn equipment, and help to keep my property secure. For this type of project, you have lots of options and I will try to provide both what I used and other options that might work better for you and your solar shed.

    This is awesome. Don't really plan on upgrading my shed anytime soon but love that this is something we can do today.

    What I have done is use automotive lighting (12v) and my camera used 12v at 800ma, so my battery lasts a really long time. I have just one 300W solar panel that charges the batter using a mppt charge controller. I use an inverter if I need to charge power tool batteries or need to use AC for something else. I found that that the battery lasts a very long time. It is a bit more cluttered looking but it is a shed. I love what your did and how clean it is. That is the trade off.

      Nice, I have a seen a couple people do that over the years. The pro is you can really design the power station to match your use case 👍

    Why not power the internal lights via DC? more efficient overall.

    Make just test a small windmill. I live in Illinois and when it’s cloudy it typically means we have wind.

      That is on the list. I am trying to get a little ground outside of city to expand out the installations and a small turbine would be great. Thanks for the feedback.

    I like the thought of having all that in one unit but what happens when something fails internally?
    A small DIY build can also be built up.

      For sure, I would say the biggest benefits of DIY would be both serviceability and expandability. 👍

    What about IL winters with the battery? You are going to heat the shed?

    In my solar shed. I add mad amount of lights to lite up the entire backyards plus iOT wifi DC controller for interior 12v lights and TV simulator to mimic someone inside the shed.

    Nice solution, nice thing is you can also expand the Delta 2 up to 3kwh if you wanted.

    solars great until there's a hail storm.

      @everydaysolar  10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Most panels are pretty resilient. Honestly if you have a hail storm come through that damages the solar panels you probably have a bunch of other issues are well.

    Did you go over the cost for this solar project, or did I miss it?

    • @everydaysolar
      @everydaysolar  13 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I mentioned the Delta 2, wiring, and 2 x 100 watt panels were just under $1,000. Depending on mounting, location, and if you are going to trench from a ground mount that could add up to a couple hundred more.

    You need to add an alarm that is loud that will discourage anyone when they open your doors a motion detector that alerts you inside your home or on your phone. Otherwise you have done an impressive job on this shed. Thank you for sharing.

    Cool shed! Add fire alarm(smoke) please and a easy lock. Is there also a chance for humidity there to cause problems?
