Unless he's in the flashbacks, he's not in it. I hope he is like training Widows. As far as a love story goes, Natasha is having a romance of some kind with the character called Mason based on cast interview. He's a fixer, former SHIELD contact and has a complicated history with Natasha. I think if Bucky is in it will be as a trainer in the Red Room.

The murder of the starks happened late '91. going by this timeline, it's possible that Bucky trained young Natasha around that period. given how Bucky doesn't really age much due to all the re-freezing and re-thawing, and Nat has aged normally from her red room days (refer to her flashback we saw in Ultron), it sort of checks out.

The reason I hate what happened with the Disney/Scarlett lawsuit is with Scarlett banned from future Disney projects, there is no way for the Russo's to deliver on all those hints we were dropped about winterwidow. I think they were hoping that she could come back for some cameos, maybe adding to Bucky's story and fill in the blanks regarding their relationship but now that can't happen.

I also just realized this, everyone else might have already, but if they infact had that storyline of Natasha knowing Bucky was the Winter Soldier and he had trained her in the redroom, wouldn't that have been a huge blow to the friendship she had with Steve? That she knew all along Bucky was alive and never told Steve?
If the movie makers really wanted this ship to happen they can argue that Nat never knew WS was the Bucky that Steve grew up with(if nat never visits the smithsonian), but even with that Buckynat still contradicts the information Nat told Steve about WS in CA2 tho they can still make up some excuses for that. But I don't think BuckyNat was ever considered in the MCU to start with, I mean they were quite determined on HulkNat...Which I really don't understand, like from all those possible ships in the comics they chose the most far-fetched one
