  • Self Defence Baton. Self Defence.Police baton. This is a Self Defence baton that I picked up from Wish to test out and see what quality it is. As pointed out I would never carry such an item or would recommend carrying this self-defence tool.

      Well if someone brakes in to my house I know what I will do if I get attacked in the street I have a fue items I can use but it would probably be me getting fucked by the police for defending myself

    Good Video. I get what you are saying about reviewing items that are legal elsewhere. If you didn't say it was illegal by you no one would complain. Also there are lots of uk weapon channels.

    just dropping a few infos regarding batons here:
    what a baton is not. a self defense tool, and it's not a non lethal weapon either. most people, even trained officers, don't have the skills to keep the lethality in check, because each baton strike could kill. what i mean is that you also need good barehanded fighting skills otherwise you're left with only one hand defending you and waving a chunk of metal around hoping to break something.
    what a baton is. the most portable weapon for it's reach. a very realyable option to evens out the odds against most melee weapons. a ridiculously efficient item against knives because of the range and speed.
    now what this specific baton is. it's purposefully made with 2 polycarbonate sections, the goal is to make it much lighter and springy, so that the injury potential and lethality is dropped. those batons are uncommon because no country makes a difference in restrictions between the two, so people just go for a full steel one. those batons are meant to act as pain compliance devices, there's a hard metal rod at the end, but the low weight and flexibility makes it hit fast and sharp like a whip, just like you can get someone limping with a good lowkick.

      Yup I agree 👍🏼

      @lowkey6134 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would agree with you except for 2 reasons. 1, most likely if you're a citizen you'll be carrying this in America where you have access to guns, meaning it would be relegated to a non-lethal or less than lethal option. 2, you fail to take into account that batons are very good psychological warfare weapons and can make someone attacking you with a knife or unarmed rethink their decision real fast, for that reason alone it's good to carry one, if only just as a deterrent.

    I believe they are illegal to own for hire or sale, but not illegal to own if not taken outside the home? Anyone found out any different?

    • @prepperinthewoods
      @prepperinthewoods  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Think you can have at home but not outside the house but they keep changing the rules.

    • @lornelorne5727
      @lornelorne5727 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That used to be the case, but not anymore. The law was changed a few years ago, so now it is illegal to even own privately in your own home. It's considered an offensive weapon, same as a firearm.

    • @prepperinthewoods
      @prepperinthewoods  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Think it depends where you are from. I seen a baton called both growing up. I don’t keep none of this stuff as it’s all illegal now. But the vids are still useful for places like America where stuff is still legal. If I only went by what’s legal here there wouldn’t be much to review now. Thanks for watching

      @@prepperinthewoods yeah well we both know British law on self defense is an absolute joke as tbh there's nothing stopping me shoving and umbrella end where the sun don't shine . If I'm being subjected to attack then I shall use whenever I can and I couldn't give a toss what the establishment says . Anyway I was just unsure of the difference between a baton and a cosh. I'm not looking to buy one ( there's plenty tree branches to grab and if not my dog will deprave them of their nuts lol ) . Just a question is all . Thanks for the video pal

    Dude... Your accent is breaking my brain 😅. I don't mean that negatively by the way, I mean I can hear at least 3 different accents in there and can't put a finger on them haha. Great video BTW, when I was at secondary school loads of people, including me, had a kosh. £8 down the Sunday Market at Bovington... Ahh those were the days. We had to wear blazers at school back then but you could fit one, collapsed, horizontally in your outer pocket perfectly. Not only could you still use the 80% of the pocket that was left, but, when you were walking through corridors and spotted someone who was giving you shit you could walk past hands in pockets and give em a good one across the elbow/funny bone area. Breeze past like nothings happened whilst they're wailing in agony and everyone else is confused 😂
