Mini cannon firing a BB gun pellet

This miniature cannon works by loading a BB gun pellet down the barrel and using a small firecracker as the explosive charge.
This cannon was my matric fitting and turning school project, but I made changes to the original technical drawing so that this cannon can shoot BB gun pellets instead of just being an ornamental piece. The cannon is constructed from brass, stainless steel and aluminium.

What a wonderful little toy cannon I thought it was such a great idea using small firecrackers (I assume they were ladyfingers)this is so much easier very much like a little cartridge. I noted you were using the plastic airsoft BB shot which are much safer than the steel ones especially since the small amount of powder in firecrackers is not gunpowder anymore but the more powerful flash powder.

You're using firecracker powder or gunpowder?

I'm using the firecracker intact, not the powder from the firecracker.
The chamber is larger than the firecracker diameter so the gasses can escape into the barrel unobstructed.
Only using the firecracker's powder will be allot less effective due to the low weight and loose fit of the BB.
