How to troubleshoot misfires of your potato cannon!

Fuel: Starting Fluid (Flammable Aerosol Spray) Works best for both Hot and Cold conditions.
For peak performance, this product may require Trial & Error to get the fuel mixture just right.
Some weather conditions call for more or less spray, try an extremely small amount, or up to 2 quick bursts of spray for Starting Fluid.
Diagnose Misfires:

I’m guessing this guy sells these. The most fun I had was making them. I probably made two dozen or so when my two boys were growing up. We had a “blast” with them! The parts cost about $20 including the ignition which is from a BBQ grill. Lots of plans online. Make them WITH your kids! That’s half the fun!
Don't actually need the bbq lighter button. Can actually just light a lighter right next to the open hole and will get the exact same results. I have a few potatoes guns. Great windshield busters.

We made a few of these back in 2001 launching them in the neighborhood at our friends house while they watched it land in their back yard. With their knowledge and consent ofcourse. We would launch anything cucumbers, squash, cabbage and onions lol Our combustion chamber was much larger. Our ignition was a spin flint.

@@lirkettyt2546 just some of the little things like building the ignition switch into a handle, similar to a gun. A bracket that holds the aerosol can on the side with a valve that can be opened and closed to introduce oxygen and the aerosol. Some sort of tube to hold some extra potatoes. A mesh between the tube and the refuel/ignition end to be able to put the potato all the way in. Hell maybe even a laser on it. Whatever you want really. Just try to think of ways to increase ease of use.
