You listen to him talk enough and you realize just how smart he is. He’s constantly reading, watching, listening, thinking, and it makes his humor so sharp. Really just makes him a great listen even when he isn’t being funny.
Instinctually, two girls one guy vs two guys one girl, the former is more sound than the latter. A dude with two hoes, you KNOW who's kids are in the mix, only one person could've fathered the children each gal pops out. But with multiple dudes with a single gal, its more muddled, and the thought of a dude raising a kid that ain't his will kill him from the inside. The lack of knowing for sure if that kid is yours or not will fuck you up, since you can't KNOW for sure, and you'll have that voice in the back of your head telling you you're losing, your time is wasted. It's just basic instinct.
@@NY51663 It's not that it's nonsense, but it is the flipside of the current dynamic we have today. Right now it's all about the woman & what she wants/will be down for. Patrice's angle is all about his/men's happiness. The true balance lies somewhere in the middle.
@@Repienk ok so me and my girl had a long talk the other day. I’ve been studying the behaviors of men and women for years now and I’ve come to 2 conclusions. Men are NATURALLY polygamous but conditioned not to be. Which is why we cheat frivolously without emotion. It’s our bodies need for quantity because we spread the seeds to keep humanity alive. Women are naturally monogamous which is why they have a more careful aproach to mating. And also why they share alphas. They filter humanity and their nature is to birth more alphas. Another complex idea is that being “territorial” is a masculine characteristic and that it’s learned by women but natural for us to have. When you think of territory you think of owner ship and in any animal kingdom it’s always the males job to protect the territory. In short. Women naturally are built to share an alpha and men are naturally built to be able to handle multiple women. Hense why Patrice had this feeling he just couldn’t explain it because he never had a safe space to explore this ideal
I know what Patrice is saying/asking but it would be EXTREMELY rare for this to work, the women would probably be psychopaths. Family love is very different from the intimate love with a woman.
Yes, I said the same thing. Patrice had many fantasy ideas when it came to relationships and women. And he didn't really understand some very basic social Norms. Like the difference between love of family and not family.
@@NY51663 He completely understands social norms. This whole argument of his is based in protest of them and he very directly addresses that. Ultimately I really don’t think he was wishing for a type of relationship that could never exist, it just wasn’t one that our society isn’t currently built to accept. I guess you could call it a fantasy idea, but really, he was just looking for a modification to the social norms around relationships. Since norms are made up rules and not universal laws, there is always room for them to change and the possibility of things being different. What’s also interesting about his case here to me is that it isn’t the typical “I wish I had a million women” fantasy. He plays fair with the idea that his girlfriend may want more than one boyfriend as well and doesn’t get selfish with his ideals. I listen back to this segment every couple years because fundamentally it’s about a guy who wishes that society was, on the surface level, just a tiny bit different, yet has no real ability to change it because the rules he’s trying to alter are so deeply ingrained into our culture. There’s something really relatable in the core of that plight. RIP Patrice
I love that they all realize that Patrice is making no sense, but they just let him go on and on. He had a gift of making nonsense sound like a deep philosophy. Probably because he actually believes what he says.
Not to a man it ain't! We struggle with this shit. Fair that women don't relate or sympathize, you don't have the same experience, but for us it's a real battle. We have to fight every instinct our bones sometimes!
Patrice had a true free mind, he spoke it.
You can disagree with what he says, but what he says oozes honesty and true male gut instincts.
Righteousness
Patrice was the M.L.K. of male sexuality and this was his I Have A Dream moment. Classic! RIP

Me and this man are the same!!!!. My woman won't allow it either...most women are too selfish to share
They share anyways. Most of them just in denial
Thanks I need to explain this to my girls
Bruh if you’re a 21 year old drug dealer this is cool but if you a 27 retail worker not gonna happen.

Can Opie be edited out of this?
I don't know, can Hitler be edited out of the 1940s?
Can you be edited out of this comment section?
Actually there's somebody that uploads all the episodes edited and it's called "Nopie and Anthony"
