Collapse after takeoff

60% collapse after take off over the east wind sock (and local thermal trigger) at Sopot.
The paraglider dived sideways and turned 120 degrees, but recovered 10-15 meters over the ground and the pilot continued the flight.
1/3 good pilot reaction to stop the dive and then hands up to let it fly.
1/3 passive safety of the glider (Advance Alpha's are the best beginners paragliders, demonstrating many miraculous recoveries from serious collapses and turbulence)
1/3 luck

pilot could have gain more height instead of going strait over the triggering ridge IMHO. - 1/3 bad decision?

Omg hands should not be wrapped around all of the risers so no feel of the wing, get proper instruction
