It’s so true. We can’t even talk about WW2 without sexualizing, and desensitizing it. History has become a joke, rather than a chance to learn.

I only found out about this today
I watched the first episode back in 2015, thought it was ridiculous when the camera panned out at the floating city on an aircraft carrier, so I never continued. Fast forward to a few months ago and I gave it another shot. It turned out to be really entertaining; I watched the whole thing. I'm not an anime fan but from what I can tell it is considerably underrated here in the west.

Also can't wait for this, a surprisingly good watch with nail biting combat.

I’m probably gonna wooosh myself but the highlight of the show is actually the Panzer IV C.
When you hate anime, but you just can't help it how incredibly the army and its musics are made.

One problem: where the hell are the t-44s? Main battle tank material and it was produced 1944. No excuses for it not to be in the anime.
T-44 its not as famous as t-34,kv-1,kv-2 the derp,or even t-34/85.
Same reason there will be no Covenanters in the anime - no see combat, no be in telly show.

It's a sports competition, not actual warfare. I'm sure there are actual sports that have their origins in warfare as well (archery for example, or competitive shooting).
You should really watch the anime first before criticizing the show. The characters are all Japanese its just their schools mimic the participants of ww2, their tanks and stereotypes. There's no 'warcrime' happening in the anime at all, because sensha-do is a sport.
