Just so people know exactly what this guy is fleeing from. The man's name is Victor Baymon. He shot 3 people at three different locations, killing one. It started when he followed his ex-wife as she went into a tax preparation business. At the business he shot and killed the tax preparer (Brandon Harris). He then headed to a convenience store and committed armed robbery. During the robbery he shot the store clerk (the clerk survived and is critical condition as of writing this), He then carjacked a car belonging to a man. Drove it a few miles where he crashed it at an apartment building complex. Then he carjacked a car belonging to a female. After only going a short distance, he got out of that car and shot construction worker at random (who survived and is critical condition). This final piece I am not clear about. But either he drove off in the current car or he carjacked another car and drove off. After a manhunt lasting several hours, the police caught up to him and this pursuit began.

I thought that too. Holy shit. You would never see even the most advanced trained drivers do that here in the UK. What on Earth are they taught in these small rural US departments? A couple days through some cones? Here, it is a 3-week full-time course just to respond using lights and sirens, then another 3-week full-time course plus a one-week add-on to drive advanced vehicles and carry out pursuits/vehicle tactics.
Hot take. I believe those fleeing from Police should not receive services from emergency personal, including medical. You chose to run, endanger the public, now face the consequences.
Exactly to the first comment. If you are an honest person, kind person, no alterier motives, you must have the highest level of respect for police officers.
And of course he had previous offenses prior to this little escapade... There's a picture of one of his victims in the link and he looks like a decent guy ... the suspect survived the crash but he's in critical condition.
If I were the pursuit officer, I would have been terrified to be going that fast and in oncoming traffic. It would take only one vehicle making the wrong turn to end your life.
What is amazing to me is that this officer would go racing to catch this guy down the wrong side of the road! Most departments would have called the chase off. By doing so you don't risk the lives of innocent bystanders unnecessarily and the suspect will more than likely not drive so dangerously and not put innocent lives at risk. It also confuses drivers and could risk a panic reflex's, if you see someone coming at you head on at a high rate of speed it can cause others to panic and not give them enough time to react. Not only that it is a liability for the department and the municipality as well as the state. If that officer wrecked into an innocent bystander, he would have been liable and more than likely sued. This is officer was both reckless and just plain stupid.
Your willful ignorance is what’s truly unacceptable. This suspect was an active shooter who had already killed one and critically wounded two more and was still armed and a serious risk to the public.
It has to be so hard for officers to put aside the fact that this person has no regard for human life and save the person, bc THEY are human life. Much respect to officers for doing that, bc I couldn’t.
I just got off the phone with renowned tree surgeon Dr. Peter Hardwood 😷. Though it is tragic the tree lost a limb, the good doctor expects the tree to make a full recovery within a few months.
It sounds like the suspect was on a rampage and had to be stopped ASAP, but driving at those speeds in the opposite direction of traffic was seriously risky I remember when I saw a video of a police chase in New Mexico where an officer in pursuit collided head on with an off-duty firefighter travelling in the opposite direction, killing both instantly.
Sincere condolences to the trees family ,I pray for its survival. My sadness and despair to all insects and algae-moss,other microbes etc, that were killed that day and to the survivors, now made homeless from the tree that come together for each other to find another place they can call sanctuary. My heartfelt apologies to any birds that may have nested in the tree and all other birds that regularly met their friends there, will now have to find other trees as meeting places. And sorry to the sods of earth and grass and life therein destroyed, ripped apart and scorched bt the car fire. SORRY 😢

Uhh...they have to use their emergency sirens and lights to warn oncoming vehicles
@@LouiseStastny driving up the wrong side of a major road like that is a no-no even with lights and sirens
That cruiser was clearly a 3.5 twin turbo Ford Explorer. That thing was fast!
My condolences to the people who were late to work or getting home to their families
Hot take. I believe those fleeing from Police should not receive services from emergency personal, including medical. You chose to run, endanger the public, now face the consequences.
The cop according to many POS criminal sympathizers here was the one putting everyone at risk.
Imagine how much money the US would save on not rescuing fleeing idiots
does a fat person get to call an ambulance when they have a heart attack? How about a drunk driver who hits a tree, do they get emergency services?
@ dr kevor
that is EXACTLY policy
in 🇧🇷 Brajil
iv bn saying that
YRS
should
applied here as well
@@nelsondln" fleeing from police " addresses those concerns.
Hearing about a suspect wanted in a triple shooting and a police chase is truly alarming.
I felt like I was in the car . Ballz of steel . #RESPECT
poor tree. It had been sitting there messing with no one for all those years just to end up scarred
Exactly to the first comment. If you are an honest person, kind person, no alterier motives, you must have the highest level of respect for police officers.
I instantly got the feeling that this wouldn't end well! Kudos to all police involved! Amazing what you do day in and day out!
Hope everyone knows the risk police, firefighters, and EMT workers take every day
So important to stay well rooted !
🙃😂
You know the cops just waited on the radio just to let it burn for a bit longer.
I would’ve never went to go help that driver out. I would’ve waited until the fire department showed up.
I used to have rally drivers on a pedestal. Now I have this police officer. Respect from México.
Doesn't matter how well this cop can drive in all that traffic he's putting everyone life in danger.
And of course he had previous offenses prior to this little escapade...
There's a picture of one of his victims in the link and he looks like a decent guy ... the suspect survived the crash but he's in critical condition.
The "road" scholar failed the earth science test.
That afronaut was trying to lift off.
Survived,,,, damn it
If I were the pursuit officer, I would have been terrified to be going that fast and in oncoming traffic. It would take only one vehicle making the wrong turn to end your life.
It should be across all states if flee in a car chase and your caught with know one kill automatic 20 years in prison
tree didn't bite, but it sure did bark alot...
These idiots in the comments blaming the cop
Lol imagine how warped their world view is
Kop no kare. He kray kray. Hee kould keel innocenta peeples. 🤪
Democrats.
The cop's actions were *unambiguously* reckless.
They wouldn't keep that energy if it was their loved ones that were murdered by that guy
That had to be the most negligent driving by a police officer I have ever seen.
The risk to the public from the police is truly unacceptable.
Your willful ignorance is what’s truly unacceptable.
This suspect was an active shooter who had already killed one and critically wounded two more and was still armed and a serious risk to the public.
I feel bad for the poor innocent victim.........the tree 🌳
I'm sure his family will sue the city. Because that's how things go now. No matter what he was doing wrong, The family will super money.
Deputy tree again gets credit for the stop
Wow that cop was flying and I was very shocked he was driving that fast on the wrong side of the road
How dangerous was that driving - including the cop??
Keeping stereotypes alive and well.
This speed during the pursuit is insane.
In the US ..they'd handcuff a dead man.
That’s the most intense chase I’ve seen in a long time
It has to be so hard for officers to put aside the fact that this person has no regard for human life and save the person, bc THEY are human life. Much respect to officers for doing that, bc I couldn’t.
These high speed chases are not worth the risk to the public!
The guy had shot 3 people, killing two, and the shooter was still armed.
What other options did police have, but to pursue?
I just got off the phone with renowned tree surgeon Dr. Peter Hardwood 😷. Though it is tragic the tree lost a limb, the good doctor expects the tree to make a full recovery within a few months.
It sounds like the suspect was on a rampage and had to be stopped ASAP, but driving at those speeds in the opposite direction of traffic was seriously risky
I remember when I saw a video of a police chase in New Mexico where an officer in pursuit collided head on with an off-duty firefighter travelling in the opposite direction, killing both instantly.
SORRY 😢
That was wild. Amazing driving skills.
I grew up in that area before the hoods and gangsters took over. I hope they are able to save that tree. Tree lives matter.
And it's the same perpetrators that have no regard for the cops that depend on them to save them when they're in trouble.
The policeman behind the wheel should be charged for reckless driving. He endangered the public driving like that.
When will these criminals be held accountable for their actions?
