Hi I loved your tutorial. I've made some cloth dolls myself some years ago.and my best one that I'm most proud of is a button bead jointed doll with a separate head that gives her a nice profile. I painted on the face with a fine brush and used a little soft sculpture to give her a semblance of expression. I would love to have given her hands like those but maybe I'll try that on another doll. I wonder though do you have a tutorial for nice doll feet? They all seem to be a bit clunky like frankensteins monster. Thanks for your video.
hi, i am making a lot more tiny hand than you are in the video and i tried with everything but can not turn cloth over. is there any other method? thank you
I haven't found any other suitable method yet! I have managed this method with very small hands too. Just make sure the fingertips are narrower and there's are good gap in between.
Thank you, I've done all sorts of sewing, since a young girl. A seamstress, quilter & any sewing craft, I would at least try it. The one thing, I have never tried is "Doll" making. Quick Question Are you using just cotton or broadcloth cotton fabric, for your hands? I am currently in hospital, and I met a young girl betweem (4-6yrs) during rehab. She recently lost both parents and a brother from an auto accident. During one of our visits during our rehab; she saw my quilt - I was working on. She asked me, if I can make cloth dolls too? I said, I have never tried. She then said, oh, because I lost my doll w/my mom, dad & brother in an auto accident. I asked her, if she could describe her doll to me. Which she did in great deal . So, I decided that once, I wss discharged; I was going to try to make her another doll. So, all I've been watching is all sorts of cloth doll making videos. I'm now starting to think, there is no way, I can make a cloth doll for her.

They are actually just called finger turners! Mine are from Jan Horrox website but you may be able to get them from any doll making website.

What is that tape
Sorry for the late reply! Didn't see any messages. It's florists tape. It becomes sticky when you stretch it.
