Thank you! I was diagnosed with RA in December and as I await my 3 month checkin I found your video extremely informative. You also give me hope that full medicated remission is possible. I’m not there yet - on methotrexate and just finished tapering off prednisone. I will advocate for a biologic at my next visit.

Hi, I was diagnosed with RA in December too. On Hydroxychloriquin and Salzopyrin now. Tapering off a third load of prednisone. It’s no fun!

Thank you for taking my question yesterday. I was diagnosed almost a year ago and I’m lucky that my treatment with Prednisolone has worked well. I’m now close to remission so I’m being weaned off them and it’s being replaced with Mycophenolate for the longer term. Apart from a severe reaction to the bisphosphonate family I’ve had no side effects.
I had to be rushed into hospital because my inflammation markers were over 250 and the first reaction was that I had sepsis but the antibiotics made little difference. It took many tests, scans and visits by various specialists before the Rheumatology Consultant saw me and immediately said “This one’s mine!” 😂 She’s been great ever since and I couldn’t have a better doctor on my case.

Thank you for your advice - i started Orencia many years ago - injected every two weeks - but decided i didn't want drugs and had a fear of side effects. I caught covid and was fearful of having no immune protection that i would get it again. I am in pain; my feet and wrists are mainly sore, and I have stiff joints, so after seven months of no Orencia shall start it again after hearing your reassurance. The aim is taking something for the rest of your life is a worry - can't the body heal naturally?

I was relieved to hear you support Rituxan. I’ve been on metho, hydroxy. Worked great until it lost its efficacy. Moved to Enbrel. Worked great until it lost its efficacy. I wish my Dr., would’ve given me something to transit😊ion from Enbrel to Rituxan. I just had my 2’nd infusion 2-5. I was diagnosed in 2022. Any thoughts? I know you can’t diagnose. Rock Doc., any thoughts? Truly

One thought I can share: It sounds that maybe you are making antibody against the drugs. In this case I like to add some other meds. So think HCQ Plus Ritux or HCQ plus Humira etc.
Good luck! I am rooting for you.

@@Rheumatology101 Thank YOU! Another question. Diet. Do you believe dairy is inflammatory, or is it different for everyone? I am so grateful to have found you! Helena, Mt., would love to have you ;)While I’m waiting for the effects of Rituxan to kick in. I’m taking 2.5mg., of prednisone and 400mg’s of ibu, twice daily. Truly. Thank you.
