I've seen it a few times including in the theater on the original U.S. release. Obviously though it's been a few years because although I recognized Bruno, I didn't recognize the scene. "He says lies". RIP Bruno Lawrence and Pete Smith.
What shocks me is the number of them that I got where I haven't even seen the movie, but from the frame I can recognize it from the various clips that I've seen over the years!
They didn't call it Mad Max 2 in America (They did in the rest of the world) because the first one was a flop there and they didn't want to associate the second movie with it, and put off potential viewers.
29, but if I had more time I'm sure i'd have got 3 more. Cheers for the reminis as well. Made me want to go a rewatch a few of these, it's been a while.
Probably about 40% for me. Some of the movies I have heard but never seen. A few I had not heard of. Interestingly, I actually mis-picked Zardoz for another movie and then missed the actual Zardoz clip. It is a bit of a badge of honor that I can say I have seen that movie.
22/42. Could have scraped a few more points if I'd got the right movie from a series, buit overall I'm OK with that score. Good mix of old and new, and mainstream and cult
@@charlesballard5251 Its a monster movie. I'd say it has more in common with things like The Birds than it does mainstream sci-fi. Unless you chalk monster up in like a sci-fi subgenre, but in terms of watching them, not the same experience. By the way, I am quite sure I meant to drop that under a different comment. Sorry, but always enjoy movie topics.
@@50Nobody50 Perhaps "Monster" movies can be a sub-genre of sci-fi if it's a scientific monster more than a horror monster. Frankenstein's monster is a sci-fi monster for me, while Dracula is a horror monster. But in the Universal movies they exist in the same universe. "Godzilla" could therefore be considered a sci-fi movie, as well as a monster movie. I think I've always thought that. I certainly don't find it to be a horror movie. It's also not an adventure movie. But at its core, it's a condemnation of the bomb, and a cautionary tale.
If you're referring to what I think you're referring to, I wondered if anyone would realize that. I considered using the same frame, just one with the front row and then one without it...
@@wethesqueemish- but when you think of sci-fi films probably the LAST one you’ll think of is LILO & Stitch. Same for Mars Needs Moms. But sure, if it gives you comfort then you go for it.
Very happy to have got "the quiet earth", a brilliant, low budget film from New Zealand

Love the Quiet Earth. And Strange Dayz but I missed alot

The Road Warrior is also known as Mad Max 2.

Far too many of these I knew and had seen but the name just would not come to me in time.

The music is very distracting, I should've tried with it muted
Only 24, though if my memory was better I might have gotten to 30.

25 / 42, several i had not heard of, and a few i had never seen. Some I really should have known, and kicked myself about, lol
29. I mixed up a lot of the black and white films
26. I lost track of how many I have seen but could not name vs how many I could name but never saw.
36. But another 3 I would have got with a bit more time.
I didn't count but I knew most of them. The only one I'd never heard of was "The Space Children" which I will have to look up.
I had never known anyone would consider godzilla sci fi in any way.

37. 4 of them were from movies I haven't seen, so only one f**k up. Not bad.
25 - I'm happy with that
Wondering how many of you realize they put This Island Earth twice?

I did abysmally. Only 13 right. At least I got the MST3K movie.
Good, but too many *non* Sci-Fi Movies in this compilation.
26. Ouch!
27/42, not too bad...
37 is mad max 2 The road 🛣️ warrior🎉
Just 3 I haven't seen.
don't care what anyone says, godzilla is not a sci fi idea.

Not sure LILO & Stitch counts as sci-fi. 😆
Well Stitch IS an Alien after all? lol.
Insane take. It starts in space, has a bunch of spaceships and aliens and one of the title characters is an alien science experiment.
