Metal and hard rock has always been a boys club even though women have always been involved, it has not been until recent times that women are finally breaking that ceiling, but in 1982 honestly I don’t think any song would have catapulted any all female hard rock or metal band to a huge commercial success for the fact that the music industry didn’t know what to do with an all female band playing hard rock or metal, I’ll tell you this there were about 60 or so all female hard rock and metal bands from the 80s and early 90s and out of all those, one just one ever gained any commercial success and that was Vixen, and even they have admitted they were constantly accused of not playing their instruments and being treated like a joke by many during that era. My point is I don’t think any female band really had a chance by the industry back then, sad really cause a bunch of good bands were over looked. But Girlschool hands down legends and yes the longest running all female band in music history.
Best 80s female band ...hit n run is top notch...sad they didnt go further
Saw them a few times with Motorhead and my favourite song was cmon lets go 🍻🍺
I have all their CDs 😛
Sorry Kelly Johnson passed so early -
Dude, seriously? I love Girlschool. Not For Sale is one of the greatest metal songs ever.

Quiet Riot was an established group by 1982 and Randy wasn't there. Quiet Riot had to do Slade covers to get to where they are at? Wow.
🤘🤘
The title is laughable at best.
