@@Nightharrowthe health is def nice in sweatier runs but.. I’m lost on where we are picking up “extra healing” one extra piece of any set isn’t going to provide any buff, only one piece buff set I know of in the game is Trainee.
@@mattywells It's a question of keeping one of the 4 piece bonuses active at all times. So spell power or max mag (which also gives equivalent spell power). So running 4 piece always active pillagers give you ~1k mag which is ~100 spell power equivalent.
@@Nightharrow Oh yeah, that wording makes more sense 😊 , def a more complicated set up for those starting out, especially if running SPC since the rotation is going to be a lot more dynamic since you will likely only be activating 2-3 BB skills at a time to keep courage up as best as possible.
Hey I thought i was the only NB healer out there. I love my Dunmer Vampire NB healer, he's all thematic, Blood magus vampire. He's my main toon and i love him!!
@@Nightharrow oh yeah that works too. I was just more or less trying to figure out how to set up ROJO with Spaulder of Ruin. I was wondering if I should copy the order of your gear sheet for SPC and PP? Sorry, new to the healer seen.

You can do normals at any level, but no worries if you are not feeling comfortable yet, they are definitely harder on lower level characters. If you have gold then I would go with powerful assault, if you don’t have gold then anything that looks or sounds good will do. Drakes rush is good for ulti gen in dungeons.
Not really. There are a few things you can do, but it’s not a build. I believe there is a blue cp for it, if I’m remembering correctly. You honestly overhear so much though that it’s really not needed.
Yeah, that’s fair. And depending on youre setup it can be useful. Or with new groups when you have to spam combat prayer because they are standing in red.
I have a question as a relatively new, but dedicated healer, and you seem to be the person with vids dedicated to heals of all classes...I was running Vanus (hear me out) with Jorvuld. HEALING DONE was the goal. Saw ur vid about RoJo and decided to replace Jo with SPC for the moment -legendary kuta'd...but I have a regular drop green winters respite amulet that pushes my magicka higher than Gold/Kuta SPC....Plus I'm significantly squishier now...did SPC get nerfed? Bugged? And I don't feel dps output is my job so much as HEALING DONE is. Is SPC really just for speed runs? Help a healer out, ty
Hello! Sorry, this message didn’t show up in the TH-cam app for some reason, or I would have replied earlier. SPC hasn’t changed, so that’s not it. There are two reasons healers run damage boosting sets. The first is because healers don’t really need increased healing done, as most of their healing is over healing, and if it’s not then there is a skill issue with know when and where to cast heals. And if that is the case, increasing healing done is not going to help because you’re not casting enough heals to begin with. It’s hard to overstate how true this is. The second reason is that most of the things that boost dps also boost healing. So spc for example will also increase healing done significantly. The reason you want to increase group dps is not for speed runs, it’s because the quicker the fight is the easier it is on everyone, especially the tanks. It’s a lot harder to stay alive and do mechanics on a 10 minute fight than it is on a 7 minute fight. This is the same reason dps should t be wearing survival sets in group content as it will tank there domain the fight much harder. If you have more questions or I missed anything, come by the discord. Much easier to have a conversation there since TH-cam isn’t always the best with notifications!
To be optimal, yes, but I generally find it to be unnecessary/overkill to optimize more and it will depend what the tank is wearing. Usually it’s some combination of the sets I have on the trial optimization card for supports. What exactly that is depends on a lot of variables. If you are nuking then war machine or mag equivalent. Possibly PA, but don’t probably use that in a pug, and so on.
Sounds like you might be working in a specific context so there is probably a specialized answer, but if you just want dps then Spaulder of ruin is my first thought.
I wanted to play an Arcanist Healer so I went Breton for that sweet, sweet magic regen. I can confirm that it is absolutely overkill. I don't think I've ever dropped below 75% Magicka. I still get decent DPS so I'm not complaining, but I really don't think it was necessary to go Breton. There's definitely a lesson in there about picking the race you like over what you think the meta might be.
Haha yeah, it’s still a very common recommendation as well, it’s just outdated by a year or more, and no one wants to run out of mana. Well glad I could help with the next one, thanks for sharing, I’m sure it will help someone to see it here.
Not this last patch I don’t think but maybe in 42? If they would just make the bleed vampire abilities actually do bleed damage instead of magicka, that would be game changing.
Honestly I almost use all NB heals in my front bar. With 2 restore healing skills I honestly don't like that most classes don't even use there class skills.
Dealers choice. Hard hitting fights it’s weakening, magicka drain if you are having sustain issues (shouldn’t with syphoning strikes), or whatever sounds good.
imo, seems like you missed funnel health and sap essence. with these two a healer can spend most of their time attacking like a dps, and passively healing everyone without even thinking about it (FH for ST and SE for AoE). That will also go well with SPC. With MA as the other set, this is great for high-end 4-player stuff or in vAS. For other 12-player stuff, i guess pillagers is the goto. All you really have to do to translate NB dps to heal is replace some of the DPS NB damage DoTs with healer HoTs like Healing Springs and Regen, and just save a bar spot for combat prayer when its needed. Swap some CP to healing stars if you feel the need too.
Yeah, they have buffed funnel health to hit an extra target now, could definitely use it in dungeons. Still not really worth it in trials though. Typically you just drop a healer entirely if you want to do something like that. Many of them can be solo healed. As for sap essence, it doesn’t really heal enough. I’ve tried what you are talking about and it just doesn’t work as well as I would like. Kind of disappointing tbh.
my experience was different. FH works great, when I DONT need to specifically heal people (which is pretty often in a lot of stuff). When the group DOES need actual healing, thats when I have to spam a few Combat Prayers. SE also works great, but (like Azureblight) is only useful when there are quite a few enemies getting hit by it. The other thing I wanted to add is that I would change the ults from Barriar/Horn to Soul Harvest (I think thats the name, the assasination ult with the ult-gen morph) and destro ult. In a 4-player group, let the tank handle the horns. In a 12 player group, let the other 3 supports rotate. Basically the way I like to play NB healer is almost like a buff-dps. The only place I found NB heals weak so far was Cloudrest.
Not sure if you will see this, but in my mind, I thought Templar was good for heals. I’ve seen this video and your warden video; Is Templar bad in your mind? For heals? Because Wardens HoT and their other buffs seems better
Nah, templates are good. I just havnt gotten around to making builds for all setups yet. Getting g close though. Right now for optimization nightblades and warden are just best. Since you can heal well on basically any class in eso, often the more optimized groups will ask you to come on whatever is most optimal for the group. Kind of odd I know. But definitely nothing wrong with Templar heals.
